The first video I've come across that shows pre-tensioning, I genuinely pre stretch my elastic prior to elasticating my top kits, but shall try your way and great video as always, Joe, cheers
As an angler new to pole fishing the pretensions tip was great. Despite watching tons of videos on here, this is the first I've seen mention it. Strangely I experienced the droop a few times myself with new elastic and hadn't figured it out. Great tip
Nu Fish elastic is by far the best elastic i have ever used , dont know why i have always had a preston pole and naturally went with Preston however upgradedmy pole and just couldnt get on with the x90 so i swapped to a maver r4 and decided to try your elastic the balance is amazing, i have rarely used the pulla bung with the black through top two and caught fish from ounces to 10lb. The green equally good on bigger fish and nothing is getting of on he blue in those snags. Superb price as well. Great work.
I fold a short length of cotton over the elastic, and thread the elastic through the puller-bead first, and then thread the elastic through the roller, and then tie the connector last. That way I don’t need a diamond-eye threader.
Yes you need a PTFE bush on the top of the pole to allow the elastic to run freely and without abrasion. You can get internal or external bushes and many of the modern poles come with them pre-fitted 👍🏻

Thanks Joe, I particularly like how you pretension the elastic. Great video as ever.

Glad you like it Karl
Great video again Joe I absolutely love the content you put out very informative keep up the bids and can't wait for the next one 👍
Sorry videos not bids 🤣🤣🤣
Brilliant little vid
Hi Joe try putting your diamodeye through the side puller then up to your number 1 section attach the elastic and pull it through
I thought that, unless there's something about the roller puller that causes issues. Seems to cut out a step.
It's because superium and response kits have a nose cone in the no2 which makes it difficult to do it that way
@@MatchFishingFilms Thanks, did not know that!

Would you still use that knot for small solid elastics with Dacrons cheers
Is the knot on the stonfo the same knot to tie elastic onto an elasticated feeder?
You must be really confident in your kit 😂 are they that robust? 😮
Always easier starting with the side pulla then threading it down through no2 then no1
Ah but our superium poles have aligners in the no 2 and the elastic just doesn't want to go through 🤣
@@MatchFishingFilms you've done me 😂 Jamie hughes lied to me
If they don't have them in then yea crack on
@@MatchFishingFilms 👍🏼
Haven't you got to put something on the very tip of the pole? Not the connecter on the tip?

Lube😂
