  • We looked at The Tea Saint, Lu Yu in the last episode. This time we give a once-over to his greatest work, The Cha Jing or Classic of Tea. The national popularity of tea in China really catches fire after Lu Yu shows everyone how to enjoy it, and enjoy life at the same time.

Laszlo, serious talk now. After listening to each episode on whatever topic i find myself wanting morę details. Would you mind giving us longer episodes? I would certainly welcome such change. Thanks!

I used to let these episodes run 45-55 minutes and longer but decided to break them down into multi-part episodes of 25-35 minutes. My next episode coming June 13 will be nice and long for you.

I had this series in my watch later list over a month ago and it showed up as "private", so I panicked. Glad to see it is back up! For cold teas, try cold brewed karigane (high quality kukicha from gyokuro), it's one of the best things ever!

Hey Alexei, yeah, a lotta folks contacted me asking what the heck happened....they were already halfway through the series and it disappeared. It's its own standalone podcast show now. On the RSS feed side of the show this series had over a million downloads. And who knows how many people snoozed through it on Cathay Pacific all these years going back to 2016. I thought I'd be able to attract a wider audience as a Tea Podcast rather than being tucked away in my back catalog. I trimmed the old series, added some new stuff and re-recorded everything. I hope you like it. I found some cold brew karigane at Teance for $25.99/10 satchets. Thanks for the tip! Gonna try that out.

A Question, why did Mongolia Genghis Khan decided to Invaded China during the Song Dynasty?

Genghis was already long gone by the time China was invaded. I suppose his grandson Kublai saw it ripe for the taking, and he had the military assets to go in and do it.
