Tea is made out of leaves from the tea plant, Camellia sinensis
Yes, the Tibetans really like the Sichuan area's tea and the Sichuanese really liked the rugged Tibetan ponies. So of course trade flourished on the The Chamadao or Tea Horse Road.
Your mandarin Chinese is very good. I am alway surprised when you throw in Chinese words to your talks.
