This story hits so hard… she was just a kid. This truly had me in tears.
I myself was shot in a drive by at the age of 14. It went through my shoulder and came out less than an inch from my spinal cord. It went straight through they thought it had broken my collar bone but no.. nothing it was clean straight through. It could’ve so easily hit my neck or come through my spinal cord. I came out of it with nothing besides mental trauma. Fast forward February 12, 2018 ironically my 14 year old daughter Natalie Hernandez was at a park in Dallas Texas with 3 friends. They were in the car about to leave when a vehicle pulled up and blocked their way. A man came out and shot an assault rifle into the car. My baby was hit. Unfortunately she did not make it. My child was murdered by two random men whose excuse was “We were just trying to scare them”. They didn’t even know my child or her friends. They are brothers both in their mid and late 20’s. They took my child’s life for absolutely no reason.
This is so impacting and emotional thinking about this young woman’s journey. The physical mental and emotional trauma. Thinking about the moment her mother realized her child was shot and the memories of that moment I received that call every parents worst fear. So many emotions from all perspectives.
This world is cruel and these type of things are senseless and evil. I’m so very glad that this young lady is still here and living the best way she possibly can. Life is so precious yet fragile. It’s so very hard to understand why ppl do the things they do…. I pray everyday for understanding…. although I don’t believe it will come until I’m with my child once again.
Best wishes sending love and light ❤️

What a extrodinary and resilient woman that’s a lot to bear during your teenage years. She so positive and open about her journey. God took something from her. Mom. But gave her a beautiful gift right back. Blessings to her beautiful spirit. Kevin I feel this is definitely your calling

Her story is powerful. I lost my mom at 40 in 2019, 3 weeks after I found out I was pregnant. I know my baby was God helping me get through the loss of my mom. Even at 40 I wasn't prepared for life without her so I know how she feels.

This young woman is so strong! So, so strong. Being shot, and paralyzed at 13, losing her mom at 18, being a mom, she’s so powerful. I lost my mom last year, and that was so much for me to handle.

Her story is touching. She was 13 and was shot😢. The fact that she has a good spirit and navigating through life without her mom is amazing. She's now a mother despite her circumstance. She may have lost her mom but she has a child that will be there to help out God is so good.

Thank you for your testimony. This is a hard to hear because my sister was mudered; I read the police report and it said a lot of what you said. My sister was shot in her chest and a bullet went into her lungs she did not make it alive away from the scene because her lungs filled up with blood. If my sister would have made it she would have been paralysed. God knew that it was her time to go. God still has a plan for your lives you made it out that situation alive praise God.🙏🏼🙌🏼❤️❣️

😢😢😭🙏🏼❤ My heart is breaking to hear her story 💔 😢. I thank God she's alive and is here to inspire hope to others with perseverance and trust in God. I wish her God's anointed healing and prayers for a miracle if that's God will. She was so young, being at the wrong place with her friend at the wrong time. This is a lesson to people. I believe this young lady went through all this tragedy, loosing her mom and couldn't even 😢😢see her mom before she pass away and giving birth so young with her condition 💔 😢 🙏...my heart really hurts 💔 😢 for her. I applaud her courage and strength. May her mom 🙏.
