- as I wait to see how SO-50 FM Satellite is performing I caught ISS. the satellite 🛰️ band keeps you busy.

SO-50 67 ctss and some of the Teval satellites are good fun to try out with your ARROW antenna setups. I believe there are a few new FM birds coming soon to also explore. 73 good luck

Happy Easter Simon worked the birds from a vertical at home maldo vt320d and the car using 7900. Nothing does satalite like the FT847 good on ya de M0JFE

Hey Simon. It’s a shame about SO50. I’ve been watching it degrade pretty quickly. It’s dropped a lot in the last six months. It gets just HAMMERED State side non stop, it’s definitely second busiest only to the ISS. 73!
Hope you're having a good day yes It is a shame as it's been a long time good operational Sat. I probably have made the most QSO via satellite on SO-50 over the years. There has been many decent FM birds but this one has lasted well. Hats off to the engineers that built it. Let's hope we get some more decent sats like SO-50 soon. 73 thanks bro
Evening Simon, seems the only active Tevel Sat now is Tevel 7, status shows the rest ‘timed out’. Always struggled to work the Tevel Sats. Loving the portable ops at the moment, will have a bash tomorrow 👍
Hi Nick yes the Teval satellites are not really reliable. I read on Amsat site a couple of new FM Satellites are shortly due to be launched. Hopefully they will be operational soon. I will listen out for you with your portable station. Your eggbeater set up works well. Nice one 73

Hi Simon, do you have an issues with frequency on the 847? Mine is alway about 2khz off about once a year and needs a tweek. Ive not played much with sat over the years, never sure with ones to listen out for. Good work with all the vids.
Hi Dave I noticed on normal simplex 2m ssb it's about the same as yours 2k higher but its always been like that and I haven't noticed it on any other band. I had it since 2005. Very good for Sat's. Have a look at www.amsat.org/status/ to see which Satellites are currently active and then you can try listening. Track them here amsat.org.ar/pass.htm#Top 73 have fun
