I liked the way the boy held his bow. It was very characteristic. Nice perforemance too. The Harpsichord player was super cool as well.

One of the Best harpsichord pianist around. Kids and cellist excellent. The costume just right for Vivaldi. A piece of history when we look back 25 years from now.

Even though the girl is 1sr violin, I can't get my eyes from the boy. He got the facial expression on point and the way he tries to make signals with his eyes. The cellist, violinists and the harpshordist is amazing!!!! I hope I can hear more from them!

@@weirdcat8373 the benefits of these plastic sleeves, that I'm too cheap and lazy for. I'm just learning to play everything from memory. Only problem is that the person next to you will betrayed when you don't flip pages at all. Good thing is, that the last few times I was on stage with an orchestra, so I was expected to do exactly that anyway.
Beautifully played by both violinists and musicians .. if I could play half as well as that I would be so happy - and appreciating music and encouraging musicians to develop and continue whatever their level is important ..easy to criticise but preparing for that performance likely took so much effort and dedication - more appreciation needed

Excellent work, young people! And to those nitpickers about Baroque technique: nobody claimed they were performing in Baroque style. These are modern fiddles, played in modern style. It's the music that's Baroque!
Graham L I'd say they played baroque enough. Most people can't even do that on modern instruments which is quite impressive.
@@cruzzosanchezzo9632 I agree, they played modern violins in a style pretty faithful to baroque music. And at just eleven years old, they were really virtuosos already, at least with this performance. Excellent work.

That is a very unique sounding harpsichord.
Bran Flakes it’s not a harpsichord, it’s a spinet. That’s why it sounds different.
It seems to have the lute register, which also harpsichords can have. That's the main reason why it sounds this way

Beautiful accomplished playing on this concerto grosso by the ensemble. Impressive work by all, and intensity of concentration and coordination between the young players.
Watching those two talented eleven years olds playing masterfully and wonderfully made me think of the poverty of talents in we ordinary aficionados of music. Hope they will grow up to be great musicians. No need to say that it was a wonderful rendition. Three cheers young guys and the grown ups. Hoping to hear about your musical achievements in future. 11 years old. Very impressive. What I like about La Folia is the F sharp in the D minor scale. It reminds me of the F sharp in the hymn _Lucis Creator Optime_ by the greatest composer of all time, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, the unparalleled master of melody, half-tone chromatisms (including the F sharp in C major in _Lucis_), and the singing accompaniment. Marquese di Villarosa said it well as early as 1831. But who reads Villarosa these days. Vivaldi was a genius. But Pergolesi was transcendental. No one comes close. Leo Depuydt

No es el primer caso de niños prodigios que veo y escucho: conozco en mi entorno un caso similar en violonchelo (9 años...)Lo esencial ha quedado evidente.- Pero, para no marcharnos con el rostro serio, recordemos el humor sabio de "Les Luthiers", sobre los niños dotados por el Genio:...como niños prodigios..."Oirlos antes de que crezcan".- Y retomando la seriedad que impone el caso: MAGNIFICOS, realmente.

You're wrong.
If they play with their notes that doesn't mean that they haven't practiced it enough, that they haven't played it enough. It just means that they prefer playing with notes or just that their teacher has told them to.
