A wonderful, rousing performance of La Follia, by Vivaldi. The dancers turn a baroque music into an almost flamenco dance. It's unbelievable how a church may be transformed. Besides, "Follia" allows to be interpretated madly. Grazie per questa splendida, travolgente esecuzione.

After watching the exquisite performances of the dancers and musicians it occurred to me that it was about a lovestory between a noble man and a pretty young girl ( pretty in all senses especially seeing and hearing).

Folias are from Spain and Portugal originally. Which is why they always sound so Spanish regardless.
In fact, during the Baroque and Renaissance period Spain and Portugal were the most powerful countries on Earth. So the Iberian influence on the era is clear. Hence the name Baroque, which is a Portuguese/Spanish word.
