I used to be terrified of landing shuvits, I could only do them in the grass. Then one day I put my board on the crack between the grass and the concrete and with every shuvit that I landed I would move my board closer and closer to the concrete, until I was completely on the concrete and landed my first shuvit. Hope this helps

I've been riding for 4 years and i can land 50% of stationary ollies before warming up and then most after warming up. I cannot do a moving ollie whatsoever, feels completely different. Landed 2 shuvits and never tried again, so i basically can't do it anymore. Can roll off of curbs and ledges. That's it. I practiced the Ollie for 4 yrs too. Its painful to see people do it and learn so fast when I've been practicing so long. I cruise like it's a 6th sense but tricks just destroy my life. Especially since there's no one to tell me exactly what I'm doing wrong.

That was the same with me a little while ago I was afraid I was going to slip back but if you get your flick right you got it, also add more power when your push your tail down good luck man

@@gettingnewbread5434 there's a big difference tho, when i tried rolling tricks i realized i was shoving my board forward always because my body weight was off so i had to correct it

ive been skating for 10+ years and i can barely ollie. what part of '' I skateboard everyday but I never practice tricks'' is so hard to understand for you ? Skateboarding doesnt mean practicing tricks all the time, it can also just be and enjoyable way to ride the street and get to places.

Dbeagle has landed Disagreed, if you can’t Ollie better than that after 2 years of skating, then you haven’t tried. I find it literally impossible to spend that much time on your board, and not be able to get it off the ground.

@@chipothalereum9673 dude I learned how to Ollie in 15 minutes, I was 9, 20 years ago, no friends, no RUclips, just a magazine with pictures of Ollies on it, but even my very first Ollie was better. There is no way this kid has 2 years of skating behind him

i learned committing by practicing carpetboarding in a hour, and then able to shuvit in trucks over an hour.(ps i wasnt able commit for 3 week practicing shuvits until carpetboarding)

I was learning how to shuvit like 2 days ago and landed multiple times in less than 30 but when I tried landing one today I couldn’t land not even one after 2 hours

He needs to be able to ollie with his front better first. Yeah he's leveling the board but he isn't getting the flick that is so important

I mean, I'm almost 21 and have been skating for almost a year now and just landed my first shuvit two days ago. Some people skate just because it feels great to ride around. Also this guy looks like he is super young, so it pretty dope that he has stuck with it for 2 years already and even sent in a skate support tape to be viewed by some of the guys that he probably looks up to greatly. That's pretty cool: I know I would never have done that at his age.

see it that way. if he takes 2 years and can't really ollie that takes a hell of a lot more commitment to keep skating than if you constantly learn new things

I have been practicing shuvits since literally February and I have landed them a handful of times but I can’t seem to get them down consistently. Every time I land one the next day it’s like I have to start over learning. It will take me hours to just land one after landing it the previous day! No matter how much I practice it dosnt seem to be helping.
2 years later but the key is committing and a practice. Try to commit by little steps and keep practicing a lot
My problem with skating is like ik how to Ollie but when I try to shove it I am too scared to try to land it

Also you can screw on your wheels a bit more so that if you land the trick it is less likely your going to slip and fall

But I figured that when you "Scoop your board" the whole leg isnt above the board anymore But it's a little further back so you basicly Have to get your leg from that back position to the Tail
So basicly kind of a motion like kicking a Ball

Dude i dont know what you are thinking, but take me for example, I have been skating for many many years and i still can barely do an ollie. I skate every day but I dont practice tricks every day. In fact, as an adult now I very rarely practice my ollies, but I still skate every single day to go to places and I ride pretty hard but I just dont do tricks. What part of skateboarding but not doing tricks is so hard to understand for you ? People are allowed to skateboard even if they dont do tricks

DeckT_ I get what you're saying, when i was 10-11 years old i used to just ride my board, i never tried to do tricks and i stopped and got back on my board at the age of 14 that's when i started to learn tricks, but the thing is if someone asks me how long i've been skating, i don't say "i've been skating for 6 years" i just tell people since when i've been taking it seriously (which is around 1 year and 2 months, i'm 16 but i broke my collarbone and i was inactive for 6 months, and i couldn't skate)

I come to videos an I comment but I never get likes why do I want likes I don't know but I know that they're good and I never have them done no one ever sees my comments
Move on in life.. likes are the lowest form of validation that serve absolutely no purpose. Not a single person that likes your comment is going to positively affect you in any way..
Go out and do some good things in the world and most importantly don't tell anyone or brag about it. You will feel 1,000,000 times more satisfaction and good feelings from that.
Coupe the Boy I know and I do things that help the world believe it or not. This was just a little rant I was thinking about to put RUclips in a nutshell.
