    Sir in the first problem how to get the answer after dividing and getting 9.73:6.84:11.03
    How do we do it in the scientific calculator

  • @sakshikaveri
    @sakshikaveri 3 года назад +3

    For the first question why did you divide the values by 9.73 if the smallest number was 6.84?

    • @EngineeringPhysicsbySanjiv
      @EngineeringPhysicsbySanjiv  3 года назад +3

      We should divide the values by all three numbers that we get to check if we get the ratio that matches with the known ratios. Here, dividing by 6.84 or 11.03 will not give us the required ratio which will lead to idenfication of crystal structure.. So we divided values by 9.73...

    Sir I had a doubt,
    I the rock salt sum the Miller indices were given as (100) so the formula accordingly of d would be a/1 but you considered it as a/2 why was it ?
    And Sir in the problem the should have been passing through x only but u took three planes in succession why was it ?
    Please clear my doubts sir 🙏🏻
    I have term test in next week FY BE in KJSEIT

      Rocksalt follows fcc structure. For fcc structure, there are additional lattice points at the centre of each face. These points intoduce additional planes parallel to (100) and interplanar spacing becomes a/2 and not a.

    Also sir why did you take max value of n as 5 if we got the answer 5.76 it should be 6 right?

    • @EngineeringPhysicsbySanjiv
      @EngineeringPhysicsbySanjiv  3 года назад +1

      We should not round it. n is an integer and its value can not be greater than 5.76. So maximum value of n must be 5

      @@sakshikaveri The maximum value of n that we calculated is 5.76. Now n is an integer. As value of can not be greater than 5.76, it can not be equal to 6 and therefore maximum value of n is equal to 5. So here we will not do the rounding. Even if the n max is calculated as 5.99 then also we would have written maximum number of orders to be 5 only..
