@@donflamingo8375 bruh that shits suppose to mean shocked by something that was obviously coming. Not doesn't mean actually being surprised by something unexpected
The design is old, just rendered decently. Fork is purposed to hold fish while scaling it, hence the Fisherman’s knife. The longer blade position is useful for filleting the fish but while this was possible with the original design this blade seems to be too rigid, won’t flex enough to do precise cut. There is no wood inside, Russian micarta looks that way on the edge. The certificate is an official proof that it is not a weapon according to the Russian law, you know: guilty until proven innocent.
E†YΔE right. The original had wooden handles and did not sink. Cost 2 roubles. How much is this one? What happens if you drop it off the fishing boat? Right.
You know it's Russian as it has the yellow stripe. Every thing needs stripes, 3 is for rich 2 is for okay people and 1 is for the person who is in process of slavination.
I mean it’s called the “Fisherman” right? So it’s probably designed as a multi tool like filet knife. It obviously can’t descale but the prongs can be used to hold the fish down on a table while cutting. The blade looks long and thin enough to filet and if you’ve got a bigger fish you can extend the blade. It’s using aluminum so it’s less useful in saltwater or brackish but for freshwater it would work fine as long as it’s taken care of. It’s also seems like a solid enough design for any other nautical task (cutting rope, fish line, bait, etc.) and the 440 will have a better time against corrosion than carbon steels. The price is kinda steep, especially for 440. I’d prefer H1 for that price and probably the smaller model because I don’t catch fish big enough to warrant that long of a blade.
@Adequate Bros. Thanks for prompting me to google "electrified sword." www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2289026/An-electrified-sword-built-stun-gun-Student-unveils-terrifying-weapon-tests-himself.html
this is a fishing knife to take fillet from fish. The fork is used to pin fish to a table at the tail so it doesn't slip out of your hand. The longer blade for larger fish.
If you thought that was it, hell no, there's more yes there's more if you call right now we give you an extra knife! YES you heard it correctly 1 EXTRA Knife! Now you can dual wield slash and stab those pesky fish!
Pretty good video but.... that blade extenson is knife to cut fish in half and that "fork" is acualy an "fish fork" used to hold fish in place while u cut it. Aka im cheff
At least you won't get posessed by the ancient spirit of a powerful pharaoh and be forced to go on a long arduous quest where your only weapon is relying on said spirit to win card games for you. Because guns don't exist. (In 4kids anyways.)
I used to be a knife freak - collected every kind of "cool" knife that came out. Then eventually I realized, there's no real practicality for knives like these in every day life. One good Buck 110, or similar knife is all I need. I've never needed one for self defense in 30 or more years. I own guns also. So far, never needed one. I own batons. Never needed them. I keep a bare bones .38 snubnose within reach at home, as well as a small baseball bat. I have a Buck 110 for EDC. Knives, swords, etc are fascinating though. They can be addicting. Something about a good bladed weapon stirs the warrior spirit within most people.
Lol I also have a collection of really cool knives and guns .. but like you, the Ruger LCR Snub nose revolver is with me nearly every day .. the ugliest and most ridiculous little weapon and by far the best self defense carry weapon for civilians in my opinion
This reminds me when I go to my archery classmates car, and saw a sheathe with what appeared to be a pair of custom artisan made 2" fighting knives, one of them was indeed that, and the other had the same shape of the knife but was a fork... Fighting and dining combo
(wikipedia source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atropos) Atropos or Aisa (/ˈætrəpɒs/; Ancient Greek: Ἄτροπος "without turn"), in Greek mythology, was one of the three Moirai, goddesses of fate and destiny. Her Roman equivalent was Morta. Atropos was the oldest of the Three Fates, and was known as "the Inflexible One," or "inevitable". It was Atropos who chose the mechanism of death and ended the life of mortals by cutting their thread with her "abhorred shears". She worked along with her two sisters, Clotho, who spun the thread, and Lachesis, who measured the length. Atropos has been featured in several stories such as Atalanta and Achilles.
Wat assassins use to eat food, not just a weapon but as a utensil 😂😂😂 Also, just imagine if they added voltage for the spike side which would become a taser XD
Wow, so basically a shortsword. And the longer-than-usual handle is not a problem at all because you would not fight with the middle-to-guard of a sword anyways. Heck, the whole naginata class of weapons are basically just swords with a long stick of a handle so long it turns into a polearm. Plus the wider ring in the middle functions against slippage during impact. Definitely got me excited!
25 years ago 440c was first "supersteel". Today,25 years later, bread, meat and apples are actually equally hard as they were....allways,so 440a,b and c will do the job same as they did it when they were new thing. And all those VG10,san mai, and blarney blarney blaaaar steels that are hype today will be considered cheap 25 years from now. 440c is a damn fine steel, and it would be nice if more manufacturers would use it for some models. That would bring more great knives to collectors and to users.
@@dreadfulldimitri I understand what your saying, however that knife isn't super budget friendly 200+ if I remember correctly. And as technology advances and your kids are flying by in self driven hover mobiles my truck which is great and reasonably efficient will be a joke later don't let it know I said that 😁. And of course even top end metal is highly dependent on heat treatment. I'm not saying anything you don't already know, regardless knife appreciation is all good.
@Logic well....I am no scientist and not even attempting to be one,so it doesnt matter would I ve a horrible one :) Variables? Which variables? Batoning or other things that are done with pocket knives are not variables, they are abuse of tools that could end not well for the abuser. My post was for person that said that 440c is cheap steel and it sounded like that steel is crap. No it aint crap. I have a knife that also went through some lesser abuses (by abuse I mean doing stuff that shouldnt be done with the knife) made from 440a,which is even cheaper then 440c and after 20 years of owning and using it,knife stilk works. While there surely are new and stronger steels that bring some new abilities on the market - use of knife remained the same. Sure, everyone can abuse knives, but guess what? Every serious manufacturer sells their blades with DISCLAIMER that tells buyer that he abuses their tool on its own risk. Even the knives made of high-end steel. Regarding changes within the lines of normal use,yes....new steel bring new abilities which surely comes as the variables you mentioned. Regarding that, there are still countries that allow use of carbon steel blades in kitchens of restaurants etc. And nobody got plague or something because there are chefs that are using carbon steel. Also,so many hunters,mountaineers,guides,etc... use knives made of carbon steel. They arent doing it as hobby, they are paying their bills with their earnings and knife is one of the tools they need to have. 440c beats all carbon steels within "some variables". Still, people still use even cheaper steel. Just because it isnt new doesnt mean it will not get job done. And just because it aint on higher end of price, doesnt mean its worthless. Regarding price, english is not my native language. Somebody in the comments here stated that this is 200+ $ knife. Well... I admit that I understand that cost is 20 or so,not 200$ or so. Would I buy it for 200-300$? Nope. But guess what? I wouldnt buy it for that money even if Loveless made it. Because I dont have the use for this interresting blade. Besides my knife in 440a,b and c steel,I have some handmade from 52100 carbon, aus 8a,sk5,vg10,s30v steels....and more then 30 years experience with knives. From that,I can only say : thank God that 440c is so cheap that everybody can afford knives made from it. That is awesome stainless steel for ordinary, everyday use. If manufacturer treat it properly. 200-300$ for a knife made out from 440c? Well....I also have CS Espada xl,first version, and I bought it from authorysed dealer instead on ebay because I wanted to be sure that my Espada xl aint fake. Its made of aus8 steel... So if somebody is interrested in buying knife from video for 200$....why not if it makes him happy? My Espada is actually a great knife for me! Never regret for buying it. Would carry it each day on a daily basis, but I have other pocket knives that I want to use at work so I carry what I want that day. But in most cases,Im edcing Espada. If somebody finds knife from videoperfect for him,he should save money and buy it if possible. Why is so expensive...dont know, and dont care. It aint knife for me.
@@paulx7620 I understand what you are saying. Yes,technology is advancing. And yes, even my old Rusty (hehe) is considered junk and not a car. And thats ok. Now,I did understood incorectly about the price....I thought it is about 20 dollars, not 200. My bad for that. However....if somebody has money and can afford himself this knife...or a hovermobile...Im fine with that. However,I am not fine with any sort, even polite sort of...kind of disrespect for proven stuff, like 440c or your truck. They worked before, work now and will work then. The thing is - in terms of normal use what can beat 440c? People buy a knife, for some reason they made a test of that knife and put it on youtube and in most cases, those are average joes with not so many followers. And they do all the wild stuff and knife breaks. If that knife is 440c with average price, not a big loss. If that is a knife 200$ or more,Im guessing the average joe with average money....aint a happy average joe today! That is why I allways say that people should use common sense and buy their stuff from known manufacturer. For example I would like to have Rainbow Mermaid folder in collection. Manufacturer is Magnum by Böker, and that is subbrand of Böker. Its made entirely from 440c,even the handle. Its cheap, dunno its price in dollars but its cheap and nice for collection and normal use. Within terms of normal use it wont fail,I trust Böker about that. Would I buy that exact knife from that manufacturer for 200$? Honestly,I doubt I can afford it to just lay down somewhere in shelf, and cut papers and to be just a showpiece. But the price he currently is,Im buying it without concerning about my budget after I pay it. In short,200$ is a bit too much for the knife from video in my opinion. But if somebody has the money and thinks the knife is perfect for him all I can say is : go for it buddy,I know how it is to have a perfect blade for yourself 👍
the folding blade with an exposed and usable tip is a pretty old type of design. IRRC they were invented for sailors to used as an eating/general use implement when it was folded and a fighting knife/heavy use tool when unfolded, I've also seen versions designed as hunting knives though. Whats different here is that the blade folds out edge first while on most examples I've seen of older folding dirks they fold with the edge facing in to the handle (typically they had a full edge on one side and a 1/2-1/4 length sharpened false edge on the back)

My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 25, I have never touched a cigarette. Gday I’m guessing being called the fisherman them prongs would serve to hold your fish while filleting, scaling. Hope that helps.
John Sweeney I give you a thumbs up just for saying gday. Im in pomgolia and no bastard says gday n its making me homesick to hear it.

He :- unfolds it making it double
Me :- yeah fork
EDIT:- thank you guys , this I smy first time getting so many likes.
the fork is used to lock the tail of a fish on the cutting board when making fillets and removing the skin!

Still a pretty good tool knife
E†YΔE right. The original had wooden handles and did not sink. Cost 2 roubles. How much is this one? What happens if you drop it off the fishing boat? Right.

Only if there was a way to electrify the prongs...
I was waiting to see a 'And if you press and hold this button while twisting, the prongs will be electrified'
Ain't nothing that can't be done. Good idea btw

Opening this knife fully is like solving the Millennium puzzle
Well put
Very well spoken
As a gun owner myself, if I never have to use mine to protect myself or my loved ones and I live long enough, I will consider myself blessed.
Lol I also have a collection of really cool knives and guns .. but like you, the Ruger LCR Snub nose revolver is with me nearly every day .. the ugliest and most ridiculous little weapon and by far the best self defense carry weapon for civilians in my opinion
Its a fork, knife and kitchen knife. Its not really designed to be a weapon.... I suppose it could be pressed into service as one if you needed.

(wikipedia source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atropos)
Atropos or Aisa (/ˈætrəpɒs/; Ancient Greek: Ἄτροπος "without turn"), in Greek mythology, was one of the three Moirai, goddesses of fate and destiny.
Perfect knife . Seeing this for the first time i really want itttt...
That's a weird lightsaber you've got there... may the force still be with you though.
Wat assassins use to eat food, not just a weapon but as a utensil 😂😂😂
Also, just imagine if they added voltage for the spike side which would become a taser XD
I want one
Reminds me of Darth Maul's lightsaber 😂😂😂 When he's on the go, he takes his Fortel 😂😂😂

Cool to see something different that's not just stupid mall ninja stuff. Thanks for sharing, cool video.
@Logic agreed that 440 definitely takes a lot of wind out of its sails. And it's just fine to be a mall ninja when your in your teens. 😁
@Logic well....I am no scientist and not even attempting to be one,so it doesnt matter would I ve a horrible one :)
Variables?
Him: "This knife is from Russia"
Me: Sh*ts about to get serious
the folding blade with an exposed and usable tip is a pretty old type of design. IRRC they were invented for sailors to used as an eating/general use implement when it was folded and a fighting knife/heavy use tool when unfolded, I've also seen versions designed as hunting knives though. Whats different here is that the blade folds out edge first while on most examples I've seen of older folding dirks they fold with the edge facing in to the handle (typically they had a full edge on one side and a 1/2-1/4 length sharpened false edge on the back)
One of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while

Me: Oh, I could eat a bigger steak-
Him: *extend the handle
Me: ...(mind blown)....Actually, I could just kill something or someone and then eat them up! Great Blyad!!
But wait, there's more. If you act now you can have a free oven mitt.
I was not prepared for the awesomeness of this knife
