In today’s video I’m going to be showing you guys how I make a sage tea hair growth treatment for my type 4 natural hair using fresh sage leaves!
Sage is an herb that is amazing for growing your hair especially if you suffer from thinning, sparse edges, bald spots, or just want to reach your next hair length goal.
You can easily make a sage hair treatment at home by steeping the fresh leaves in hot water and then using the water as a scalp treatment and hair rinse.
Sage contains vitamins B and C, as well as magnesium, zinc, and potassium, and all of these vitamins and minerals improve the growth and strength of your hair.
Sage is a known antibiotic, anti-septic, antibacterial, and anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory herb.
Sage is an effective treatment for hair loss because it contains beta-sitosterol, a 5-alpha reductase compound that has been found to be effective in treating hair fallout.
Sage stimulates your hair to grow faster because it improves circulation to the scalp. This provides more nutrition to the hair follicles and encourages new hair growth. Applying sage tea to your hair weekly can revitalize dry and thinning hair and add thickness.
Sage is also known to intensify and darken hair color if you use it regularly as a tea wash. And if you suffer from dandruff, sage is great for defending against dandruff as well. Since sage is an astringent, it reduces dandruff, balances sebum production, and prevents clogged hair follicles, which is great if you have a lot of product buildup on your hair and need to clarify.
