Funny you brought up Captain Jean-Luc Picard...my first Star Trek choice would be Captain Kirk and wonder what a guy like that would wear. Ricky Ricardo from "I Love Lucy" might wear Bois du Portugal by Creed.
For Sam, I am thinking more in the lines of pour Homme - Ted Lapidus. Picard, yeah he is very traditional, Grey Flannel - Geoffrey Beene this is very classic since its a few hundred years old for his character, luckily he has the replicator. Grizzly Adams, Pino Silvestre by Pino Silvestre. Mr Rourk, Le Beau Le Parfum Jean Paul Gaultier, or Virgin Island Water. Chandler would have something by Bond #9. thinking maybe Lafayette Street, or The Scent of Peace for Him I made my guesses before hearing yours, we matched on Virgin island water, and Bond #9, although we chose different DNA.
Good evening Willow. I very much enjoyed the characters you chose to think about and also the fragrances you chose. Ricardo Montalban was a fantastic actor. :0)
Okay, I am excited to play along at home, and Willow, I'd love your thoughts. Sam Malone - I agree with the thought process for Old Spice, but I don't think that's what he's going to wear and here's why. Sam is a former pro athlete, owns a bar, and while he is shameless with women, he also views himself as a slight cut above the riff raff. Everyone else wears Old Spice, which is why he won't. He's going with the 1985 gem, Ralph Lauren Monogram. It's smoky and soapy, and has a lot of the positive things that Old Spice might bring to the table, while still appealing to the sensibilities of someone who spends all day and night in a bar. Jean-Luc Picard - Agree with the why, that Picard would want something with a story. And Picard was fiercely proud of his French ancestry. That said, we know that two of his loves were Earl Gray tea and vineyards. Something French and storied, something with tea, and something earthy. Sounds like Neroli Outrenoir by Guerlain to me. Picard wasn't as eager for a fight as most Captains, he just wouldn't back down. I don't see him being excited to wear something because Napoleon did. Grizzly Adams - The story takes place in the 1800s and in America, so at best I can see him bathing in some kind of lavender or sage based tonic water. Mr. Roarke - This is a wild one, because while it took place in the late 70s, Mr. Roarke was an obvious immortal. So just to give him a bit of lore, we're going to say that James Creed gifted him a bottle Royal English Leather back in 1782 as thanks for a fantasy, and Mr. Roarke is still working through it. Tattoo wore Hai Karate. Chandler Bing - Oh he was DEFINITELY trying, and his character had a fairly successful job and he dressed up often. Now, Chandler is 26 when the show first aired, so I'm going to shop around late 90s and with the idea that whatever he wears has to be cold weather friendly but still a mass appeal for the time. Acqua di Gio and CK One are out because Chandler is trying to stand out. My choice: Balenciaga Cristobal pour homme. Besides being a severe product of its time, it also features a prominent coffee note, something that I can see Chandler leaning on for the familiarity aspect while still standing out and working in cold weather.
Great choices! Balenciaga Cristobal pour homme is definitely something I could see Chandler wearing. Also really like the idea of Mr. Roarke having Royal English Leather from Creed himself, and the idea of Tattoo wearing Hai Karate is so funny to me😄
Aaahhhhhh finally you are wearing black again now you have my attention…, you were saying? Greetings and blessings from Texas. I have a question for you. Which perfume do you reach for most often? What’s your favorite notes., style etc?
Probably something like Shalimar or Youth Dew, I always enjoy the more vintage perfumes. But I've been gravitating to some more modern options recently like Amouage Opus XV King Blue as well. Generally anything with heavy, warm, smooth notes.
@@willowschafer thanks Willo I just purchased Duchessa from Gritti…, it’s a smoky cherry with saffron peaches and chocolate I hope to hear your opinion on this fragrance as I think it would suit your style of dress- we love when you were black- also your videos are so informative and soothing at the same time. Best of luck to you and your channel- Greetings from Texas!!

He was! Thanks for watching!
Interesting topic. You should do more.
You probably know that Ted Danson made a few commercials for Aramis, that's why I bought a bottle...it didn't work for me.

Sauvage for Sam Malone is what I think he would wear if he were around today.
