Yes, the foam hardens and becomes more brittle with age. Definitely worth checking the date and upgrading if it is old.

Did you try XNITO? It is NTA 8776 certified

We have not tried that helmet yet, but good to see it has that certification.

I always find issues with helmets bumping my prescription glasses. Do you have this issue with any of these helmets?

I have not had issues with either of these helmets with my glasses. These and the Smith helmets work well with glasses in my experience.
