There's actually a cookbook called "Prison Ramen" written by a former inmate. Some recipes look ok, others...less so. Check your local library!

huh? i eat on less then 3 dollars a day and im fine..
potatoes, lentils, beans, rice, dried whole peas, dried pasta, onions carrots celery garlic, tomatoes, flour, atta flour, kasha
the amount of food you can make from basic ingredients will save crazy amounts of money. food is only really expensive if you have fast food for every meal.
take ramon for example, you can make the noodles at home with the alkaline noodle method (bread flour or ap, baked baking soda, water) so cooking is not crazy expensive it just takes time to figure out.

@@Chameleon-wq4ul you need to be careful with noodles and look at what type of flour its using because if its white flour but instead whole wheat semolina flour is better or it will spike the blood sugar a lot even in non diabetics. i dont have diabetes but it does run in the family so this is something i always have to think about.
