Thanks so much for your video. My window got stuck this weekend and I was determined to get it fixed ASAP. I searched for a helpful instructional and found yours. I told my husband to look at it because it was a fairly simple job. He looked at it and agreed. He had to drive an hour total for the part. He installed it and saved us around $300. Thank you for your comment. The drivers side window stopped working and i assumed it was the motor but i found there was no power then moved to the switch and there was power there. It was a broken wire in the door jam. Pulled the rubber back and it was completley broken. Connected with solder and shrink wrap. All good again. Just thought I'd add this in incase you run into that

@@CFarmer Anytime! I watched your video today and then immediately went and changed it out along with the window. Wasn’t hard at all. Hardest and longest part was figuring out how to position the regulator to fit it out of the door😂

Super helpful, only two parts that held me up was releasing door handle latch (you have to press pretty firmly on the black plastic piece to free it up), and the power cable plastic release was pretty stiff on my car, needed a plastic pry tool to wedge it out. Tightened the screws that holds the glass as much as you can, is very important, just a fyi for anyone else.

Great video, Mother got too close to a mailbox and broke the base of the mirror on the passenger side. After watching your video I was able to pull just enough of the door to replace the mirror without going through what your going through. I got a chuckle when you were describing how one screw was it, for that door, those retention pins are pretty tough. Thanks for your work.

Does anybody know the part number of a metal clip that holds the door trim handle? You can see those at 7:25 mounted on while mounts.

Hi c farmer. I have a lucerne 2011 cxl and the drivers side door handle broke at the hinge. The dealership is telling me that I need to replace the whole panel cause of the plastic welds???...help please. Thanks.

Maby I'm not understanding correctly, here is the interior handle on Amazon for around $25. Not sure why they want to replace door panel
@@CFarmer the guy I spoke to said it was because the handle set was plastic welded (I think that was the term he used) to the door.
I'm sorry, I'm not able to help much on this. I would've thought it would be an easy fix but i caint remember how it went together . Wish i could be mor help

How do I jump my window up in the mean time?
I have worked them up and put a wedge in it but sometimes the cable binds and there's not much you can do

Thanks so much for this my neighbors lacerne window just magically fell open and would not go up. I got inside and saw the tangled cable. I used a cable hack to just make it stay closed permanently since it was free! ruclips.net/video/uVDChA0afyo/видео.html

@@CFarmer nah well idk the chord connectect to the door itself and how do you take off the white lever lookin clip with the thick fiber black chord?
There are 2 plastic tabs you squeeze together and pull the cable back then a slot in the bracket the wire cable will fit through to clear the bracket then there is another slot to remove the cable from the door handle. It's tricky the first time you do it. I should have got a closer video of removing the cable but I've done it so many times i didn't think about it. Sometimes it helps to use pliers to squeeze the tabs then release the pliers as the tabs clear
