I'm certain you have read "The Rules of Magic" and "Magic Lessons" by now, such incredible and enlightening additions to the story. I didn't realize how many ppl share in this obsession with practical magic. I dont remember how old I was when I first watched it but I can't watch it without crying bc its so sentimental to me. to have a life like that would only be such a dream and ive been haunted by it since I watched...

Your work is absolutely gorgeous! I was about 15 when I first saw the movie and, like you said, there is just a feeling that is a bit indescribable while watching it. I watch it a few times a year. Like you, I researched the house and it is still my dream house. I am slowly ticking off all the hobbies so I can be a wise old bitty one day. It is funny that I ran into your video tonight, I watched the movie earlier today. I can’t say that I am practiced in any kind of magic but funny little things happen often enough to make me go hmmm. I’m also obsessed with this movie! I have throughly studied the film so I may do my home just like theirs. It also reminds me of my mother who loved the movie so and would always make us brownies for me and my sister before watching the movie. I even got to go visit Coupeville, WA where the movie was filmed which was amazing. I’m glad I’m not the only weirdo haha :) The funny thing is listening to you talking about your Sally and saying that you never noticed the similarities... It just dawned on me... my best friend in school was name Sallie and we had this weird connection to where if she wasn’t going to be at school that day I would already know. I just knew when she would do certain things. Her mother was actually a witch. She was wonderful. Anyways, I enjoyed your video and subscribed:)

I adore the movie & the soundtrack! It also steered me towards my path. I've read the book once, need to find it! You did a beautiful job of the Owens house! I would totally build it, too.
My mother showed me the movie when I was a kid... I really loved the movie and I still do to this day. And the opening to the movie AHHH!!! I just.. get this feeling I can’t describe EVERY TIME... I think Practical magic has a pretty accurate representation of what Wicca really is (Not 100% but pretty close) the music is amazing and it was because of the movie that I preformed my own “Amas Veritas”. On another note, I grew up “Christian” (My mom being Christian wiccan and was 100% alright with me coming out as just Wiccan) and even as a child, I was scared of the fact that they brought someone back from the dead, knowing in my heart that, that was changing the forces of nature and how wrong it was to do it. To this day, I understand that there is, indeed, dark magic (From it’s intention) but as a person (Not just wiccanisom) one must embrace both light and dark, to make up the whole and balance the universe. I know that there is darkness to the craft. I know how to use those dark spells and even have them in my BOS. But by knowing them, it’s my personal belief that it makes my good spells, stronger because I know not to use magic for evil. Thank you for taking the time to read the whole thing if you did!! I love this video and how you made connections with this your life. Practical Magic is my favorite movie. Whenever I need comfort like when I'm having a bad menstrual period, am really sick, or in a bad place mentally I'm pulled to watching it and letting it be my medicine. I crave it other times too, but it says a lot to me that it's what I crave when I grow through the rough patches. My practice has been really focused on shadow work lately and this really inspires me to try to dig deeper into my own connections with the movie, so thank you for this. I am a big reader and I have purposely avoiding reading it because I'm afraid it will ruin my experience of the movie. Do you think it's worth reading it, and which do you prefer? I could go on all day about this but I'll stop here 😁
I remember that in 2001 in the summer before I moved schools, I cast the true love spell. About a week into my new school I met someone and although we did split up for a while, we are together now. 🙂

There’s so many layers to Practical Magic. And, to this day, (30 years later) I still make my decor white and green. Which were Sally’s colours.
