There was a video about goth music and you mentioned shoe gaze, but I cant seem to find it.
What is shoegaze anyway?
@@jaemelancholy1684 I don't think I ever mentioned Shoegaze in a video yet from my knowledge but anyway, Shoegaze music is a sub-genre of Alternative Rock & Indie Rock. The characteristics of this genre is the loud, distorted effects-laden Guitar mixed with obscured/drowned vocals. It's literally a wash of sound that can drown the vocals out and is achieved with a style of guitar playing called "Gliding" or "Glide Guitar" for short. And just to get it out of the way, no ShoeGaze is not Goth music. Some examples of ShoeGaze music include My Bloody Valentine, Medicine, Curve (their first album "Doppelganger"), and Chapterhouse.

Came here from Vanessa Vokey's vid. I've literally never seen a guy with a feminine silhouette/aesthetic. I like a lot of the outfits you put together, and it's like, you've made an image that has a wholly unique energy to it. It rocks!! I hope more feminine men see your content and know you're beautiful just as you are :)\
I might be biased though because bellbottoms will never not be awesome, haha.
Aw thanks a lot, I really appreciate that. Yeah I definitely want to try to reach out to more feminine men and show them that there's nothing wrong with them being themselves. And I don't disagree with what you said towards the end, Bell Bottoms rock and will always be cool haha.

Aw thanks a lot. I don't know if I could be a role model because I'm not perfect and I have my faults and obstacles that I have to get through but I do want to try to be out there and be there for LGB people who need help as well as helping out women with what's going on in the world. It's scary but I just wanted to get out of my comfort zone and try as best as I could with the time I have.

Well I mean it's not a "goth" way, I actually took on more bohemian tones to my look in recent years haha.

hello-this is a question about something about gothic literature. so if I wanted to make a gothic story that takes place in a setting where goth music didn’t exist, would I still be able to make references to goth bands if I were to say the band existed during the time period
Your question confuses me. If this setting you have takes place in a world where Goth music doesn't exist, I don't understand why you'd even want to have reference to bands that don't exist in the universe of your story. You have to be more specific. Like what is gonna make your story Gothic in the first place?
@@KaiDecadence So if I named my character after a goth band/and or member and I made the setting of the story in the 1930’s and have gothic architecture with romance and a sense of mystery and dread, would my character be goth and will the story be considered gothic?
@@gloomcarrie5217 No? Did you watch the video? Goth music doesn't exist in your story so NO, your character wouldn't be Goth. how would they? They don't listen to goth music because Goth music wasn't a thing in the 1930s. So scratch "goth" off because your setting disqualifies the "Goth" moniker. As for Gothic, if you actually take heed with the tropes used in Gothic Literature then yes, the story would be considered a Gothic.
