@Tristian Jaden thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
As i was a child, my mother took me to the presentation of Nutcracker by Mariinski Balet in Moscow. While hearing the first time this Master Piece i was not able to stop crying because the emotional feeling and the indescrabable energy of the melody overwhelmed me - and this at age of 6. Today, 23 years later, you make me feel the same wonderful moment. Thank you for your wonderful Interpretation and your Unbelievable talent 🙏🏻
I have a similar story. For me, it was my Grandma, and she'd take my sister and I every year to the ballet. I don't remember how young I was, but I was very young, and I cried as well. I couldn't believe the surge of emotion, it was so intense. This piece has engraved a place on my heart. and I shall never forget it. I still cry.
i am the most emotionless person. i am here to inform you sir that i was about to cry. good job on portraying this masterpiece in such a beautiful way....
You’re getting so much better, even better than you were when I first subscribed. Your pieces are excellent. Don’t stop doing what you love -your forever loyal subscriber
Thank you, my friend :) Haha, yeah - been nearly two years since I started. I still remember your kind messages from the early days when I was just recording my piano at home. I’m currently in the process of editing footage of new compositions for next year. There are some new venues too, so watch this space ;) Always lovely to hear from you. Have a great Christmas!
At the end of the video, I could see the emotion of the song in your face after you played it so masterfully. I could see that you fully understood this piece, it’s sorrow, joy, grandness, and elegance. You looked as though you had just talked with Tchaikovsky himself, learning about what the piece meant to him and interpreting it through your skills in piano. Thank you for sharing this piece and your rendition of it. It’s truly touched my soul, and I cried throughout the whole song from beginning to end. With all my heart, thank you.
This piece is magical, and you performed it fabulously! I even enjoy your version more than the orchestral version. You’ve inspired me to learn it with my piano teacher; it's tough but rewarding. Thank you!
it is ABSOLUTELY beyond comprehension for me how you were able to actually play this piece of music with JUST YOUR TWO HANDS on just the one piano, it sounds like you have an extra pair or something! this is CRAZY!!!
When I was Clara in the Nutcracker, I got to watch the Sugar Plum and Cavalier dance to this song, which was two years ago. To this day, it still makes me emotional. I absolutely love the song and very much appreciate how wonderful this song sounds and how much effort you put into this. Thank you!
While I prefer this piece to be presented with full orchestra 🎻🎺🎷you will have to forgive my curiosity. How ❓and where were you able to tuck a full symphony orchestra under the lid of your piano 🎹?
From minute 2:35 this crescendo is simply what I call perfection. Closed my eyes and made me feel like I am there listening live. Great master piece. Big thumbs up from Malta Europe :)
I am OBSESSED with this song! It's SO PRETTY! I can't play the piano but I'd LOVE to learn how to play, and this song is one of the many songs I'd love to learn. I LOVE listening to people play the piano, it's so pretty and so relaxing to listen to, this is one of the best versions of this song I've ever heard! Nice Job!
Wonderful music, wonderful cinematography, wonderful suggestions, wonderful playing, wonderful. Would love to create something as epic as this, with similar visuals.
This piece is simply... grand! This piece is simply sweeping, and my heart soars with it. It calls to mind graceful feet, twirling and dancing. On a side note, every video is better than the last. I still remember back when I subscribed there wasn't any video, just music and pictures. But look at it now!
Thank you, Cindy! Haha, yes my channel has certainly come a long way in the last year or so. I'm delighted you enjoyed this piece. I absolutely love it - my favourite piece of music to play :)
@@LukeFaulkner You have good taste in music then, and I as always will look forward to new content. Congratulations on your successes so far and I wish you many more in the next year!

After fawning over this piece for a couple years i finally decided to learn it a coupme days ago! I made it up to around 2:30 thanks to RUclips tutorials, but none of them cover any of those insanely hard super fast scales (sorry idk what theyre called). But i feel like the piece wouldn't be complete without them in the grande finale
Beautiful crescendoes and overall emotion. And thank you for memorizing the piece. Too many people read while playing and it makes it harder to execute that way
How can you memorise so many things at once like the spaces between each key and such a huge song at once? I never could comprehend how pianists memorise so much and play it without messing up with only practice.
Haha, good question! Spaces, I think, are a product of muscle memory (which remembers the geography of the keyboard). The musical content is partly muscle memory (fingers knowing the patterns instinctively), partly conscious memory (telling the fingers which patterns to play), and partly understanding of the musical language (i.e. structure, knowing that a piece is probably going to form a dominant pedal before the recap etc.). The combination of these allows a musician to memorise large chunks of music, which probably seems more impressive than it is!
@@LukeFaulkner Thanks! It's stunning to just read all that and realise how much practice and understanding it takes. Feels like looking up at a mountain I'll never be able to climb.
Beautiful job. Those were interesting artistic choices regarding the final bars of the piece. I’ve heard this performed live 1000s of times, with full orchestra as well as solo piano, but I’ve never heard an interpretation that ended on a decrescendo.

Isnt Mariinski balet in St Petersburg? Moscow is the Bolshoi Balet.
Wait till you hear the 3rd movement of op.132 (if u think this gives you anything)
Mariinski théâtre you mean ? It is in St. Petersburg
