- Eagle Carving: From a piece of tupelo wood I carve the head of a Bald Eagle. With it's intense gaze and gaping mouth I try to capture the power of this beautiful bird of prey. This carving is available for purchase. If interested please message me from my Facebook page listed below.

Awesome work! new subscriber. Ive been carving for about two years so far mostly fish but just started my first duck.
Thanks Danny. I'm sure I will have some more duck decoy videos in the future also.
Stunningly realistic, I hope you carve a barn owl one day ;)
Thank you, I love owls so you never know!
Nice, VERY nice. I was wondering about the ring around its neck where the two pieces of wood were joined. The finished eagle head that ring was gone. I'm guessing the painting filled it in?
@@danielhanawalt4998 I used 5 minute epoxy to join the pieces and it filled the joint line perfectly. Thank you for watching!
Amazing work! Can I ask where you got the Eagle study cast?
Thank you. You can get one here www.vandykestaxidermy.com/ABH303-P7130.aspx
Hello Jason - Its amazing to see what it requires to carve at this level of quality. How many hours total did this take in total? Thank you for taking the time to record this...
I spent around a month on this. I didn't keep track of the hours though.
That is so lifelike any mouse would jump out of its skin if it happened upon that carving!

Thank you for watching and you may be right. 😄
Amazing and wonderful work. But I wanted to know what is the use of burning if it will be covered with paint. With thanks and appreciation
The burning that I did was to add a finer texture to the surface compared to the white feathers that weren't burnt. It wasn't done for the color the burning creates.
@@JasonLucioArt Now everything is clear, thank you
Where can I buy it from ? Just wow !
You can message me on Facebook if you are interested in purchasing this piece. facebook.com/JasonLucioArt Thanks for the comment.
Too bad you lost the painting, it's where I need the most help. Old fart eyes 👀, but next time is always better.
Yes, I sure wish I had that part too.
I just did an article in Wildfowl Carving Magazine on this eagle bust. The painting instructions will be in the Summer 2023 issue.
Wow🔥
