I admire your work ethic and intentionality! One thing really struck me, though, was the fact that you spent any time tidying-up your child's room. My mom was a busy working single-mom and as far back as I can remember, it was my job to put stuff away if I used it. Took no time at all. At age-appropriate times, I had chores to do. I made beds, changed the sheets once a week, tidied up the apartment after school before my mom got home, washed sheets and towels. Dusted and vacuumed on Saturday mornings, and cleaned the bathroom, by the time I was twelve. Mom did all the cooking, grocery shopping, most of the laundry, and all of the kitchen cleaning, except that we would both wash dishes. Again, none of this took a ton of time on my part.
Putting your shoes on is an important tip to share with your followers if you're not feeling motivated because it actually makes your brain think that you're going to go somewhere so you will automatically start to feel a little more productive or a little more just ready to do something if you haven't shared it already it's something I read recently and and actually I find that that does work for me I struggle with being motivated 99% of the time and I struggle with no energy 99% of the time so I really love your content and I subscribed and I've been catching up on all your videos and you've been very very helpful thank you
I wish I could be on a 4 day work week too- My husband is on that schedule and he LOVES IT. I truly feel we could get more done with work AND ESPECIALLY at home on that shift.
Weekly check in! 😂😂😂 I have been doing OLAD for two weeks now and I am so on top of my laundry game! I used to do multiple loads every few days but then I would spend hours in my laundry room on top of how much time I already spend there. I work for Laundry Care so my job is doing other people’s laundry. Now that I am doing a load for my family every day. I’m only spending maybe 20 minutes on it instead of hours. It’s part of my nightly routine. I fold whatever is clean and sort it. My kids put their own laundry away and then I tidy the kitchen and go to bed. Going to bed with a clean kitchen is a non negotiable for me though. I hate waking up to a mess in the morning. The other thing that has changed my life is the vac mop. I got a roborock for Mother’s Day. I wanted a tineco for a long time but I’m not going to be picky when it’s a gift haha. Is that weekly planner page you were filling out available on your website to buy or download? Im really loving these vlogs Audrey!!
Yay!!! I’m so glad it’s helped!!! And I’m even more happy for the check in!! I hope we can create a big, accountable community over here! I LOVE hearing your progress! I use the Erin Condren Metallic Harmony Life Planner. Thank YOU for watching!! Makes me feel like it’s worth the time!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@OrganizedChaos4 at minute 8:19- Is that from Erin Condren? Those pages that you have multiples of. It’s a little different than your planner book. I couldn’t find it on her website.
I love the way you clean the fridge shelves as you go, instead of doing it as a project, just wiping the parts down before putting new items in, probably does a lot to keep them clean and sanitary.
Yes!! I remember years ago when I would dread the ‘task’ of taking everything out and scrubbing. But, like you said, I just wipe as I go so there’s never any mess!
Audrey, just wanted to ask, what are your thoughts on the cricut? If you remember, I'm moving, and my spices will be in an upper cabinet. I'm going to invest in some new jars 🫙 because my OCD will feel better. The lid is where I will put the name of the spice. I found acceptable labels on Amazon or Temu. I don't remember unless I look up my wish lists. I can't find labels that I like for the front of the jars. First of all in your opinion, would you put labels in both spots? That's why the question about the cricut. I've seen videos where they talk about making labels on it. I was thinking I could probably find a nice label on it. I plan on doing more labels as I start changing over to using storage containers. One more question, lol, have you done video 6 in the decluttering series? I was going to watch it, but I can't find it. 😊
@@jenicebuenting6522 I don’t think I did video 6. That was right about the time of my house fire. I put the labels on the top of the lids so I can wash the bottles in the dishwasher. ❤️
Thanks for sharing. I really like this content. Keep going! It sounds like you are very goal oriented. I am encouraged by you. So sorry to hear about the house fire
Audrey, I noticed the small cubby that is on the left side of the stove. It looks like there might be salt/pepper on it etc. I would love to know where you got it. We are moving into our new house this coming weekend and my kitchen is sooo small. I love the video where you take your spices from a drawer, I think and put them up into the cabinet. I am definitely stealing that idea!! 😊. I think the little cubby would work well for my salt/pepper as well. I saw a few other things on and in it. What spices do you keep there?
I'm just curious if you are still staying with your parents and if so have you had to compromise or set boundaries around competing schedules and space? I think your mom will really miss you when your house is finished. You must motivate her! I'm sorry for the circumstances, but having more time with parents/grandparents is a blessing. ❤
We are. We’ll be here until the house is finished, which will hopefully be around Christmastime but that might be wishful thinking. We try to keep to our space. They’ve been really generous. Setting up my husband’s home office in their basement. We have our own bathroom. My mom lets me handle cooking so she stays out of the way. We all do laundry at different times so we don’t really get in each other’s space too much. I definitely don’t motivate my mom too much. Lol! She’s pretty confident in who she is, which is not an organized person. Lol! She enjoys me doing all of the organizing, but has no desire to do it by herself. My dad works at our state’s capitol so he’s gone throughout the week so he really enjoys playing with the kids when he gets home. Yes, my mom’s friends are always saying ‘you’re so lucky’ or ‘can you see if she’d come over here?’ She really appreciates the work I’m doing, just like we appreciate having a place to live. Our house was right across the street so it’s not been a big change. My husband would always come over during the day and let the dogs out or run errands for my parents so that’s stayed the same.
I noticed that you wake up and immediately walk into a mess. I’m assuming your not the only one creating dishes everyday so…If that were me I wouldn’t want to get out of bed either. ((hugs)) You are doing to great job! There are days when I only get a minimal amount of cleaning done because I have health issues and I need to rest. It’s okay.
I have a craft (scrapbooking) room, would love to convert back to a guest room..haven't worked on in 10 years at least, so overwhelming, hate to throw away things, tools, papers, stickers, albums, organizational items etc. But how do I find someone or organization that could benefit from this ??? Not looking to sell, but donate etc....HELP, Please, don't want to to throw away.......many $$$$$$$ Invested....❤

I heard a phrase that I have really taken to heart and that has made a huge impact in my daily life: Don’t put it down, put it away.
Yes!! I need to do better about it.
I LOVE watching your videos. So encouraging to me as I try to create better organizing and cleaning daily habits! Thanks for all you do!

Do you have a link for the acrylic calendar on the fridge?
