Already added a bunch of features/fixes to the program:
    - Support for .ydk files, no need to write the deck
    - Section for "garnets", this way you can calculate how much increasing your deck size minimizes the odds of drawing into these cards
    - Section for "hard once per turn cards" that you don't want duplicates of in your hand, since you can only activate one copy of them per turn
    - Section for "unbricking" your hand, basically if you have a brick in your hand, what card combinations still let you combo with it
    - Fixes to 2 or more handtrap logic, if 2 hard once per turn handtraps are in the opening hand, the system calculates it as only one
    - Improved logic on how much a card bricks/unbricks
    - Small fixes in general, making everything more user friendly
    and more to come!

Looks cool. It would be great if you could add conditions to the unbricks and n-card combos. For example, Simoon + X is no longer a two-card combo if there are no Black Whirlwinds left in the deck, and Shamal becomes a brick if you have no Black Feather Whirlwinds in the deck, etc.

Is there a potential way to add the capability of importing a YDK file for the program to read so that it can automatically populate the cards for your deck? That way, if the deck undergoes significant changes or you want to use the program on a different deck altogether, you can just make the deck in a simulator, export the YDK and have the program read from it.

@@SilentBW Another thing that might be nice to have, which is relevant to a lot of decks is a category for "cards that are not bricks to the point where it would alter your combo line, but you'd also rather not draw because they don't do anything on their own." I'm playing around with the program for Crystal Beasts and that category applies heavily to me XD. It would be nice if there was something that tracks the number of cards in your hand that are cards you'd rather not draw so you can build your deck around not drawing a critical mass of them, thus making your hand unplayable.

    • @SilentBW

@@andyz0507 If you run the program, you will get a list from the least bricking cards (cards that let you combo) to the most bricking cards. If I understood you correctly, basically the cards you are referring to should be pretty low on the list, correct? While not being combo enablers, these cards are not changing the combo in any way if we draw them. The system currently only tracks how many times a individual card has been in brick hands.
But what you're asking for (just making sure I understood what you're after) is a way to see in general how many of these "brick" cards were in the hands that resulted in bricks?

    • @andyz0507
      @andyz0507 2 месяца назад

@@SilentBW What I'm referring to are cards that don't impede your combo if you draw them, but also don't help when they are drawn. For example, cards that you would normally search during your combo (like P.U.N.K. searching their trap card with Madam Spider, but no longer have to because you drew it. Drawing too many of these cards which are better off in deck could have been non-engine that you could use to play through your opponent's board going second. This is a value that you'd want to minimize in your deck. In my personal example, Crystal Beasts have a bunch of monsters that have useless effects that are bad to draw, but are necessary to summon Rainbow Dragon. I would like to see how often I draw these bricky beasts and minimize the chance by adjusting the deck size. But while doing so, I also need to add more consistency cards to make up for having a larger deck size. That would be a useful stat to have as you tweak your deck to generate more optimal hands. I wouldn't classify these cards as "bricks". I consider bricks to be cards that need to be in the deck for the combo to function. I suppose the word I'm looking for is "garnet". You don't want to draw it, but it's not devastating if you do. But drawing too many garnets, even if you draw combo, you're less likely able to play through interruptions because you have fewer useful cards. That's a stat that would be useful to be able to min/max. As I play around with the program a bit more, I'm realizing that there is a lot I would personally like to add, and I will do so independently. Some features might be useful to a lot of people and some might be more niche. But I would love to chat about it more in Discord about possible improvements if you're interested.

@@ComaDoccYT Interesting thoughts, however have you considered perhaps not everyone enjoys playing the "best deck" or can afford it?
I like to think about it this way:
Without me or Kanak, where would you go for the most competitive Blackwing lists?
What if you like an archetype and want to build a deck around it but the deck hasn't had any recent success and you can't find any lists?
Even the best players are not always playing the most optimal builds of the formats best deck. What if you could further improve their list?

      1. The program can be used with whatever deck, it's not Blackwing specific.
      2. If everyone would want to play the best deck, no one would play any other deck than Yubel currently (or SN when ROTA is released).
      3. When an old archetypes gets a new card or two, content creators usually rush to create content about it. They're not optimizing the lists. If the deck doesn't do competitively wise good, it's very hard to find actually good lists.
      4. The program has already been eye opening to myself and made me with +15 years of playing Blackwings notice things I didn't know about the deck.
      So yeah to your opinions
