Gets around most walls, except for Yubel. ::: Tech cards for going first: Machina Citadel. Urgent scedule target, gives good interaction in the enemy turn. Regulus + Sargas, since you can hard-make Sargas you do not need marymaker. NR 90, which can give you Nib-Protection.
as someone who's played AG since S1 of MD, this was a treat and just a great Video in general. this deck is Simple, fun, and has many cool tech options for it's strat. if want to try AG, please just keep 2 Things in mind. 1. AG chaos Giant is a good card BUT DON'T JUST TURBO IT OUT, it's only immune Monster effect's during BP only and unaffected by your Spells & Traps too. so it's more fragile than it looks. it's also a Dark monster, so it's bystiel food if it hits the GY 2. Don't sleep on AG Megaton Golem. using 3 AG Golems as Material let's attack 3 times in BP, (this effect is built into Megaton golem) it can float into Ultimate AG Golem. ( Megaton has to be a fusion summoned monster and won't float if returned to ED) you can make armoured train iron wolf, use it's effect on Megaton and attack 3 times Directly for game.
Do you have more tips on getting AG Megaton Golem out with 3x attacks? AG Dark Golem only counts as AG Golem if it is on the field or in the GY. However, AG Fusion does not fuse from the GY, so you need to have 2 AG Dark Golem on the field for it to work. That's not an easy condition to meet in the face of disruptions. Then, you also need 2 Lvl4 Machines for Ironwolf Xyz to be able to 3x attack directly.
@@theteemotaunt6538 mostly you will have to try Baiting out or play into interruption for that strat to work, (it's more of a cheese strat) for the most part getting a Golem on field isn't the hard part. it's usually resolving tankers effect that fails. that being said, if it fails but you still have a LV4 you can normal Summon. go for it. finally if iron wolf is negated but not destroyed, AG Ballista only needs 2 Machine mosnters for link Material and Geartown summons from hand, deck or Grave. again direct attack Megaton is cheese. mostly meant for taking a game by ignoring the board when you can't OTK otherwise.

My additions: Megaton is kinda redundant if you go for a commander-duel fusion line. Ultimate will also be a tripple attacker then. Tho the Iron Wolf suggestion is one I would also use. It is a good wall tho, to build if you need to go first and have to go the Duel-Fusion line (Since howitzer does not mention golem) Chaos is even worse than you'd think. Because Duel protects your AG monsters from monster effects ... the problem is: Chaotic is immune against all spells and traps. Including your own. Go into ballista, search. Use Taniguku in GY, special Dark Golem. Activate for search. (One card Ballista and Dark Golem on board, without Normal Summon and a +1 in hand advantage)

Ngl, I'm a recent fan but find that I enjoy Jesse's laid-back but methodical explanations and gameplay way more than other overly hype Yu-Gi-Oh RUclipsrs. This one in particular was really fun for me as a guy who only really knew Duel Monsters for a while before trying to get back into it. Exactly like the memes, I was beyond lost and had never watched GX, but Ancient Gears looked mean, and I figured they'd be one of the better archetypes. Lo and behold, here they come, back to show me I shouldn't have changed up 🤣 Also, if you're still taling requests, I'd love to see an episode based around Galaxy Eyes. Since hitting Master Duel as my first real competitive scene for Yu-Gi-Oh, they've been my trusty companion up to Diamond 3 but no further. I know it's not an archetype, but a deck centered around classic weak normal monsters would be awesome. Things like Celtic Guardian, Silver Fang, Giant Soldier of Stone that you could find in almost every schoolyard deck.
It's funny, I think that 3rd player passed because they thought you were on Mikanko, and Mikanko typically has a hard time killing on an empty board (although it still can with the right hand)
@@Spyko- Without the Duel package, you can (1) use Dugares to double Chaos AG Giant to 9000, (2) use Verte Anaconda to dump Overload Fusion and summon a second Chaos AG Giant, (3) you can often get 2x AG Dark Golem and some other bodies on the field for 8k. Having an open field makes it harder for AG decks because (1) you can't activate Urgent Schedule, (2) you don't have a monster for Ballista to target so you can pop Geartown, and (3) you can't activate Duel without your opponent controlling a monster. Also, Triple Tactics Thrust is not useful.
Having witnessed it two days ago? You ain’t wrong. Some dude on Master duel rolled up on me with it… Named Crowler. My crystal beasts were so frightened the only one to come to hand was Tortoise.
Actually one of the decks that I do believe has quite a bit of potential for play. The deck is weirdly solid when having all the pieces out in front of you. AG has 1 card combos, solid extenders, can make use of generic support for both its typing and attribute, has a solid and consistent way to otk on turn 2. Am really struggling to see what they’re missing.

Alright Jesse, Wightlord's Legal, Phantom knights, Horus, and Grass and Curious is legal, so the Dark Beckoning Beast combo to make Curious works. Make Beckoning, Grab spirit gates and grab Chaos Summoning Beast, Summon it and link into Linkuriboh, resurrect the level 1 chaos summoning beast, link it into Relinquished anima, then take it, Linkuriboh and Dark Beckoning into Curious and dump Wightbaking and get things going. Run Thrust to grab grass, Talents to draw into more engine, and every discard outlet possible to fix bad hands full of the dead bois. Lets doooo THIS
Jesse instead of putting in ancient gear frame or any other level 4 you could use lvl 3 gizmek to play around veiler or imperm on catapult to bring dark golem out of the grave if you have to use urgent schedule

This might sound wild but making TeleDad meta again. Was such an unreal deck that I miss seeing. Even synchro monarch (besides e-tele, a lot of instant fusion for the tributes).
Evil Eye. No cap. I often end up with 4 to 6 points of interaction, from Serziel's effect to Zerrziel's, to the searchable counter trap I havent even STARTED messing around with Unchained stuff yet which already had some incidental synergy Like popping a facedown Gorgonieo so you can use its GY search effect Eradicator virus and Thrust are fun and easy to throw in and use Allure bc Ive found you just need names sometimes so you max on the two level 3s that arent catoblepas. Unless you run Tour Guide. Deviser King too, just need 2 of those lvl 3s, and his effect puts them back in the GY where you want them anyway
Its my fave strat but Ive been cookin with it so long its time for me to share the sauce Ive been cookin up Tiamaton and Gizmek Orochi are also great interaction if you arent running Unchained, as well as Allure targets, and a useful Foolish Burial target if you already have the Evil Eye names you want, or just a free body. Foolish burial goods obviously I CONSIDERED Popperup for a bit and its still fun sometimes but you find you just would rather it was a better card xD Artifact synergy cannot be overstated, except for Allure usage. The Artifact MST can destroy a Gorgonieo for a search, and Sanctum needs no introduction.
As far as non-engine goes Called By obvi Crossout, Ash Blossom, and a Nibiru are nice. Imperm obvi, also great for Tiamaton usage Forbidden Droplet, which sets you up for Lightning Storm Dark Ruler No More Evenly Matched The deck is best at stunning and killing quickly, since it doesnt have much in the way of renewable resource generation. Thats also why Gizmek is good, you only search the stuff you need turn 1, hes a free body on turn 2 and a pop on 3.
been waiting for this one! I've been running ultimate slayer as a nice form of removal but this decklist is also interesting, esp since slayer does nothing against voiceless haha

The problem with ancient gear golem deck is that Yubel is the meta. A deck that specifically wants you to attack it and ancient gear doesnt have many in archetype ways of dealing with back row. Its designed to ignore it but that doesnt work in this case
Could you make a video on Raidraptors next? They’re really cool in the anime and recently got new support in MD, along with the TCG-exclusive Swallow’s Cowrie. However, almost no one is playing them in ranked right now. 😢

Gizmek Tanigkuku is missing for Urgent Schedule. It revives Dark Golem from the grave.
Urgent schedule into tanigkuku and dark golem. Link off for balista which will search, then tanigkuku to revive dark golem for +2 and discard

I think ancient Gear Is way more powerfull than people think. By far the strongest going 2 Deck.
The hardest part of this deck is remembering not to select going first due to muscle memory
Please try to make Vampires meta. I know that it can go into Zombie World brews, but those usually end up with 3 to 5 vampire cards.

Ancient gears remind me of BLS, 2 underrated power based level 8 monsters with 3k atk. Meta BLS next?
Can Chaos Ancient Gear Giant have its damage reflected by Nightmare Pain or does the card's immunity to Spell/Trap cards override that?

Jesse instead of putting in ancient gear frame or any other level 4 you could use lvl 3 gizmek to play around veiler or imperm on catapult to bring dark golem out of the grave if you have to use urgent schedule

Hello Jesse, since you're my favorite yugituber and by far the most creative one, when it comes to deck building, I wanted to give it a try and ask you, if you might think about building a red-eyes deck in its purest version possible (I know its rough with predaplant being banned and red-eyes fusion being ****), but I would love to see you giving it a try :)

What’s kinda interesting is that there is still room for more Ancient Gear support in the future, cuz I think that grunt duelists in Arc V used Ancient Gear Burn/Beatdown decks with the Hunting hounds as their signature monsters
Dark Golem doesn't have "PIERCING" damage like Ancient Gear Golem.
But the Card search is very helpful.
Since you never really attack with Golem: Dark Golem is just superrior in every way.
The only reason you run The original, is because of commander.

This might sound wild but making TeleDad meta again. Was such an unreal deck that I miss seeing. Even synchro monarch (besides e-tele, a lot of instant fusion for the tributes).
I've actually rebuilt my Ancient Gear deck for locals this weekend, this is a nice refresher for them lol

I havent even STARTED messing around with Unchained stuff yet which already had some incidental synergy
Like popping a facedown Gorgonieo so you can use its GY search effect
Eradicator virus and Thrust are fun and easy to throw in and use
Allure bc Ive found you just need names sometimes so you max on the two level 3s that arent catoblepas. Unless you run Tour Guide.
Deviser King too, just need 2 of those lvl 3s, and his effect puts them back in the GY where you want them anyway

Tiamaton and Gizmek Orochi are also great interaction if you arent running Unchained, as well as Allure targets, and a useful Foolish Burial target if you already have the Evil Eye names you want, or just a free body.

I CONSIDERED Popperup for a bit and its still fun sometimes but you find you just would rather it was a better card xD
Artifact synergy cannot be overstated, except for Allure usage. The Artifact MST can destroy a Gorgonieo for a search, and Sanctum needs no introduction.

Crossout, Ash Blossom, and a Nibiru are nice. Imperm obvi, also great for Tiamaton usage

The deck is best at stunning and killing quickly, since it doesnt have much in the way of renewable resource generation. Thats also why Gizmek is good, you only search the stuff you need turn 1, hes a free body on turn 2 and a pop on 3.

been waiting for this one! I've been running ultimate slayer as a nice form of removal but this decklist is also interesting, esp since slayer does nothing against voiceless haha

The problem with ancient gear golem deck is that Yubel is the meta. A deck that specifically wants you to attack it and ancient gear doesnt have many in archetype ways of dealing with back row. Its designed to ignore it but that doesnt work in this case
