Lucina and Palutena. Everything that you learn from those two is transferable onto other characters. If you still want to learn fundamentals, play those two.

I find that most people will mash out hella quick and you won't get the full 4 hits of egg roll. You'll get 2 hits if you're lucky or maybe more if they are bad at mashing at high percent.
I usually use Down air, Fsmash, or Down B for easy damage. Sometimes it's better to just not hit the egg so much and bait your opponent into either jumping out or staying grounded from the egg and punish accordingly. Sometimes, this is really hard to land, but go for another egg lay for the ultimate disrespect.
