  • Since it's debut in 2018 there were complaints about ride-ability and control-ability. Then in 2020 it was given rider aides in the form of electronics amongst other things. This year not only did it get more electronic rider aides it received physical changes to accommodate the rider even more.

    NTP, just wanted to say you are my favorite motorcycle RUclipsr, even over the "popular boys." Love your style, presentation, practical commentary, and on-screen data. Thanks for all the time and effort.

      Yup, mine as well. When the intro music starts you know you're in for a good time, and when he pulls out the spec sheets I'm like aw yeah here we go 👏😈

    I am buying it for the street because I just love this bike and the way it looks and don't really do any track days but if I do I have this to use.. I have a 2021 1260s Diavel for the long riding days and will use this for short term under 1 hr rides best of both worlds...:)

    I love the review because you put the numbers of the specs and also the rivals. I paused the vdo and watch like 10 min. to the ecxel sheet.
    It seems like Ducati is the best out of it.

    Must be some experience, Scott, to ride this bloodredhot meanmachine! The red suits you well! Who would have thought that when Becker-Tiemann- Ducati wouldn’t let you ride any of their bikes! Nice review!

    Superbike sales are way down. Up until 8 or so years ago not only could people afford the average offering, they could actually ride them on the street (within limits). Now they are really only track weapons for affluent enthusiasts. I guess this is why the middleweight sport bike segment is surging with bikes people can afford and actually put through the gears on the street. Lots of rumors flying around about the Yamaha R9.

    Hi NothingToProve! Nice to see you testing Superbikes as well! I rode this bike just a few weeks ago for almost 300km. This thing will certainly be brilliant on track. But when it comes to riding it on the road I can just say that it's a painful thing to do. Since there is no cruise control, hands were hurting after just an hour. When I was going downhill braking, they started hurting even more. Once this happens, steering the bike becomes less and less enjoyable and precise.
    Additionally, power is kind of coming on too late unless you do silly speeds. Above 20 degrees celsius the heat of the bikes causes burns to the thighs, even more so once the fan kicks in. Every time I saw a city limit sign, I got angry.
    That aside, I really wanted to love the bike since it handles so well and looks so well-made, sweet, and desirable. I was hitting 300kph on the German Autobahn for the first time in my life while screaming, laughing and crying at the same time.
    I am sorry to say, that this bike is still not for me. I‘ll get the Streetfighter V4S instead. Loved your video, btw!

    • @ExpressionOfNothing
      @ExpressionOfNothing 2 года назад +1

      @@comedicsketches I've already tested it. Since the Streetfighter has higher mounted handlebars, the missing cruise control is less of a problem. My hands were not hurting on it. The heat also dissipates much better. The Panigale's fairing basically traps the hot air. The Streetfighter is a bit warm but it doesn't burn you. Furthermore the Panigale has a 23,6% higher ratio in 1st and 15,7% higher ratio in 2nd gear, which cripples the fun on the road.

    Schön, dass solche Motorräder gebaut werden, echte Kunstwerke. Für mich selbst zu teuer und zu extrem, aber ich werde mir vielleicht die Kawa Z1000SX holen, die ist bequemer und die Leistung reicht mir völlig. Auf jeden Fall ein sehr aufschlussreicher Test, vielen Dank!

    Can someone who knows give me an opinion on the S active suspension - do you set your preload and sag first or depend on the suspension motors to change compression and rebound alone? I'm curious because I need to choose which bike is right for me. Will the active suspension change the settings like one a minute or once a second? My main choices are the SP2 or the R. I don't mind doing it manually if the experience on the road is only slightly different. On the track ofc I would set it up different for each track.

    I wonder what the advantage of downforce is on a motorcycle, i would say in a corner the extra friction will be cancelled out because the component of the downforce pointing outward.

    I hate tall gears. It might be more Street able but it’s also infinitely less fun. Same thing Porsche does. Buy this amazing 911 with crazy power and you buy the manual gearbox version only to find for emissions reasons (all the other justifications are just that, the actual reason is for emissions) you literally can’t hit redline a single time without getting a speeding ticket.
    This would be even more applicable to a bike like this, and using longer gears makes even less sense when you can map by gear. Just give us modes that insanely reduce the power in 1st & maybe second too and reduce the top speed, nobody will care if we have much shorter gears as a result and can enjoy shifting more often.
    I do have to give Ford some credit here with the Mustang & it’s longer gears. They at least tell you the truth about it and tell you straight up hey we will sell you a new rear end etc with closer ratios for more fun

    150-160bhp, 175bhp tops in a light strong bike chassis is more than enough power for roads. On this bike you only need the first 3 gears max. 4,5, and 6 are redundant as you are travelling at insane speeds which you could only do on an autobahn or on a track.

      Can't fine one :( The ones that the dealers do get in, are already sold. The dealer I work with ordered 10 of them but so far have received only 2 this year from Kawasaki. So I doubt I'll get a chance to ride one this year. :(

    You forgot that Ducati belongs to the Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG), so it's german, not italian anymore. Maybe that's why it became friendlier over the years?

    • @NothingToProve

      Germans friendlier than Italians hmm...even my German wife laughed at that. 🤣🤣🤣
      But what I think you meant is that it became more user friendly.

    Last comment and I’ll shut up, I never understand why bike manufacturers don’t incorporate some sort of built in area for your legs to grip the bike, and include it in design of the bike. Particularly at least take note of where the inside of peoples knees will hit the bike and just make sure if it’s some insanely uncomfortable piece that juts out like the welds on a cradle frame or whatever the case may be, just put some sort of softer gripper piece over that

    ducati panigale v4 s at 7k miles light go's off and its time to drop $1,500 to$2.000 on valves 14k miles same ,also after market pipe could got a 400 track bike..20-40% bmws end up in the shop..yamaha r1m or a honda cbrrr would be the bike for me do to maintenance cost and reliability...

    • @carlobrotto7132
      @carlobrotto7132 Год назад

      well x the mainten cost any yamaha or honda is more by true facts mire expensive x their shortest durance, after few yrs you gotta throw away like a kleenex. Talking of reliability theres no difference looking at market data and feedbacks, biasing blogs and false statements are a diff matter
