    Stunning Bike, I must say. I'm biased cause I have a 2021 model. This Bike always draws a crowd, as this is possibly the best color combination for this Bike. I changed my tires to Dunlop Q3 Plus, they stick like glue. I also took of the passenger peg sub-frame, and other options is the larger Rizoma Fly Screen, and some SW-Motech Engine guards.

      Thanks, and yours's sounds impressive. Also, thanks for the tire tip, I'll keep that in mind. You should post your bike as well, I and I know others who would love to see it!

    Don't mean to be negative, it's more option 719 in name, rather than spec, surprised Bmw don't spec these with full option 719 billet 1 and 2 packs which gives you 7 extra option 719 items from billet bar end mirrors to beautiful rear sets, rather than just a paint job. it has optional spoked tubeless wheels over standard tubed spoked wheels the red frame is fabulous, and matching seat cowl, the option 719 billet 1 and 2 kits are reasonable when ordered with bike new, are pricey to buy afterwards from parts department individually. fabulous bike in a class of their own.

      No, no, not at all. I would have loved to get this bike with those bits via the 719 upsell. I do love the red frame (likely due to my prior 3 Ducs' Trellis). Wish they would outsource the stock whale-tail-diving-board to Daedalus to tidy up the rear. And see my notes in response to you insightful post on the new exhaust.

    I just lost my 2020 R9T/5 after almost 3 years and just over 8000 miles. Michelin Road 6s improves the handling a bit. I did a bit of drag racing with mine and perhaps a professional rider can get the 0 to 62 kph in 3.2 seconds I think average rider would be doing great with 3.7 seconds.
    I got some pretty decent quarter mile ETs 11.7s around 118 to 119 mph, stock everything except I added tachometer. There some drag videos of it on my channel.
    I didn't check the top speed but I've seen over 130 mph on the speedo with a bit a luggage, so given speedometer error I expect 125 mph would a sure thing and a true 130 mph would be a high probability.

    Where is the fuel gage?

    • @DrChrisStout
      @DrChrisStout  Год назад

      Surprisingly, there is not one. There is a notification via the LED readout on the left-gauge/speedo and a yellow warning symbol also lights-up. I've been told that's a general indication of about 40 miles worth of fuel left in the tank.

  • @422shaun

    487lbs (221kg) is the wet weight actually. Also those optional wheels reduce the weight even further. I’m not sure if it’s 3kg per wheel or if that’s for both

    • @DrChrisStout
      @DrChrisStout  Год назад +1

      Thanks, I could not find the full info on the wheel differences. I have also heard that some wheel versions are tubed while others are tubeless. And here is an update I hope you may find of interest: ruclips.net/video/ELVAxomhlVk/видео.html

    Hmmm, as a guzzi v85 rider..I see a lot of resemblance. The light with the daylight birdlogo is almost the same. Shaftdrive, dry clutch, boxerlike engine, Rain, dynamic, road, spokeweels etc..I wanna try-ride this machine, just to feel it.

  •  Год назад +1

    no fuel indicator, and that color combo makes me ask for the previous 718 options EVERY time. Man... THis is a lovely motorcycle in black. don't ruin it.

    • @DrChrisStout
      @DrChrisStout  Год назад +1

      I do have a passion for black BMW bikes, my first one was. And yes, I'd be so nice to have a fuel gauge. I always have a bit of a panic with the warning comes on.

    • @hb_2w
      @hb_2w Год назад +2

      @@DrChrisStout I do too, but it’s capable of going a little over 40 miles after that indicator comes on. You’ll be OK!

    pillion, not sure what a pinion is

    • @DrChrisStout
      @DrChrisStout  8 месяцев назад

      Ha, thanks, a bit of "lost in translation" as it were as "pillion" is a term not used where I live. And "pinion," since you asked, is "the outer part of a bird's wing including the flight feathers" and "a round gear-usually the smaller of two meshed gears-used in several applications, including drivetrain and rack and pinion systems." In my use here you can think of it as my use of the wrong word. 🙂
