How does a general store look like? Can I listen viral products? And why will ppl buy from my store if they know that they can buy at wholesale price from other websites

    • @Shopify-Success
      @Shopify-Success  9 месяцев назад +1

Hey there! A general store typically looks like a store that sells a variety of items across different categories, which are not necessarily related. You can definitely list viral products in a general store and run ads directly to the product page.
There are MANY reasons why people would buy from branded Shopify stores instead of general suppliers like AliExpress. Some reasons are: Brand loyalty, niche expertise, better customer service, perceived quality or exclusivity, faster shipping, special deals or discounts, brand authority, curated product selection, and branded user-experience. People connect with a branded product.
On top of that, most successful dropshippers are not really competing with sites like AliExpress or any suppliers of this category, because their customers are guided smoothly through the store's advertising funnel. The funnel is meant to take the user from social media, smoothly to the product page. The ones making millions dropshipping typically go for an impulsive-buy product approach. You advertise or market a product that has a wow-factor on social media, the consumer lands in the product page, they see an insanely good offer and for a nice price, and they buy without second thought. There is no competition or even consideration against a website like AliExpress. You guide them through your funnel without distractions.
If the store's marketing approach is mainly SEO (search engine optimization), then I can see this POSSIBLY becoming a concern, as Temu and AliExpress typically rank very well on Google and offer super low competitive prices. But it doesn't mean you can't be successful. It's very much possible to compete, and there are many areas in which you can have an edge. The idea of a Shopify store is to provide a BRANDED, unique experience to the consumer. It's a different concept, and typically draws in a different consumer as well. Some would rather shop in a branded store dedicated to a particular niche, rather than a general store with a large random catalog, and slow-shipping from China.
If you're looking for a reliable dropshipping supplier I'd strongly recommend Zendrop. They offer automated fulfillment, which means you don't need to manually fulfill every order that comes in. They also have custom branding features, weekly coaching calls, and other awesome perks. Here's a link to Zendrop: zendrop.sjv.io/shopify-success

So, in the variant section, can you have preset of size scales that I can choose from so that i don't have to type in the size scales every time i create an item.
    Thank you

Hey! To set up products with multiple options and combinations. here's a step-by-step guide:
      - Variants:
Scroll down to the "Variants" section.
      a. Option 1: Toddler:
Click on "Add variant option" and choose an option from the dropdown menu. Rename it to 'Toddler'
      b. Option 2: Size:
Click on "Add variant option" again and choose "Size" from the dropdown menu. Enter the all the size options you want to offer (e.g., 2-10).
      Combinations:
Now Shopify will automatically generate all possible combinations for you.
      a. Under the "Variants" section, you'll see a table with the option headings (Toddler, Size).
      b. For each combination, you can set the image, SKU, barcode, price, compare at price (if applicable), and inventory quantity.
      c. If a particular combination is not available, you can leave it blank or set the inventory quantity to zero.
      Images for Variants:
Under each variant, you can add images that showcase that specific combination. Click on "Add images" to upload the relevant pictures.
Repeat the process to create new variant options like 'Preschool' ,'Grade' and 'Mens', and Shopify will generate all the combinations for you.
Another option is to create a different product listing for each category. You can have one product only for toddlers, another only for preschool, etc. Depending on your store, this might even be an easier and more organized way to structure the browsing flow for you customers.
Let me know if that works out for you!

Hey there! There are 2 ways to sell on Shopify:
      1. Self-fulfillment, so you have your own products in stock to ship,
      or
      2. Dropshipping, in which you don’t need to have the products with you, and someone else handles the packaging and shipping for you. Here's a step-by-step tutorial for beginners on creating a fully functional dropshipping store: ruclips.net/video/UCDPhUSmtVY/видео.html
If you want to do self-fulfillment you can simply add the products you want to sell to your Shopify store and follow the steps on the video. But you will need to buy your own inventory and manage shipping by yourself.
Once you make a sale, you'll be responsible for everything from packing the order to shipping the product to your customer. This includes managing your inventory, ensuring timely delivery, and handling any customer service inquiries related to shipping. Self-fulfillment gives you complete control over the process, but it also requires more investment, time and effort to manage all aspects of the fulfillment process.
You can also opt for print on demand dropshipping if you want to have products with your own unique designs! It's my personal favorite. Here's a tutorial on that: ruclips.net/video/bGqJbftvk7k/видео.html

Hey there! I'm glad you found the video helpful! I would recommend dropshipping an evergreen product-a consistently in-demand and enduring item that maintains its popularity over time, regardless of changing trends or seasons. Additionally, consider selling a product that solves a problem, as these types of products will always be in demand. Look for something with broad audience appeal, so you have a larger target audience.
Alternatively, you could opt for a visually appealing product, ideal for creating engaging ad creatives and content that may go viral on social media.

Hey! Just started with this and I have some doubts. how do you make your store look like when u want to list viral products? Do u completely list only the viral products on website or i can say how to pick out niche when we want to sell random viral products? Also I'm confused that should I make different stores if I have other niche items? How will the customer buy if we have listed so many things on our store or do we have to list just a product? Would appreciate if u reply.

    • @Shopify-Success
      @Shopify-Success  9 месяцев назад +1

Hey there! There are different types of multi product stores: Niche stores and general stores. A niche store is a store selling multiple items of the same industry, like a fashion store or pet store for example.
A general store is a store selling items of many different categories, which are not necessarily related.
I recommend going either for a one-product store or a niche store, as these tend to perform better in dropshipping.
A niche store gives you the possibility of cross-selling different items and increasing your average order value, whereas a one-product store is usually more effective when guiding users into a funnel via advertising.
If you want to go for a viral product and you want to run TikTok ads, you might want to create a one-product Shopify store: ruclips.net/video/zEWicVcBbeM/видео.html
To learn how to choose winning products, I recommend you go through this entire video, it will give you a solid overview and answer most of your questions: ruclips.net/video/4leDGkmIF0Y/видео.html

Hey Dezzie! There are several ways to add products to a collection.
One of the ways is directly from your collection page. Here's how:
      1. From the Shopify Dashboard, head to 'Products' on the left-hand menu and then to 'Collections'
      2. Click on the collection you want to add a product to
      3. In the section just below the description, click on 'Browse'
      4. Select the products you wish to add to the collection.
      5. Click Done
      6. Save the collection
      --
Another way is through the product itself. Here's how:
      1. From the Shopify Dashboard, head to 'Products' on the left-hand menu
      2. Click on the product you wish to add to a collection to open your product settings
      3. On the right side, there is a Product Information summary box. You will see 'Collections' right there as the fourth option. Choose the collections there.
      4. Save product
      --
...And here is one more way to add products to a collection!
      1. From the Shopify Dashboard, head to 'Products' on the left-hand menu. You will see your list of products here.
      2. Mark the the products you wish to add to a collection (tick the boxes)
      3. On the bottom of the screen, you will see a black menu appear. Click on the three dots next to ''Set as Draft''
      4. Click on ''Add to Collection''
      5. Choose the collection and save!
      --
Let me know if one of these options work out for you! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Good luck!

Hey there! Dropshipping is a fulfillment method that consists on a supplier that will take care of sending the products directly to the customer when someone places an order in your Shopify store. This way, you won't handle the products or maintain any inventory. You would just need to focus on building a great-looking store and marketing the products you're selling.
In this video, I explain everything about what is dropshipping and how it works: ruclips.net/video/URZ8VlgBrwE/видео.html
In this video, I go step-by-step on how to create and launch a Shopify store: ruclips.net/video/zEWicVcBbeM/видео.html
Also, I'd recommend Zendrop as a better supplier than Alibaba. Their platform is easy to use and they have amazing products you could add to your store. If there is a specific product you want to sell that isn't on their platform, you can also submit a request and their team in China will source it for you within 24h.
They also have automatic fulfillment, which means a completely automated process once sales are coming into Shopify. This can save you a lot of time later on. Ultimately, Zendrop is a supplier that is able to scale with you smoothly.
Zendrop also offers relatively fast shipping times in comparison to other suppliers, and no-questions-asked refunds. Their platform is also very user-friendly and nice to navigate.
I have an exclusive deal you can use to get $200 of free order credits! Here's a link to it: zendrop.sjv.io/shopify-success

Hey! To create different sizes, colors, or both, you'll need to use the ''variants'' section of product listings. Here's a step-by-step guide:
      - Log in to Your Shopify Admin Panel:
Sign in to your Shopify account and access your admin dashboard.
      - Add a New Product:
Navigate to the "Products" section and click the "Add product" button to create a new product listing.
      - Product Title and Description:
Fill in the product title, description, images, and any other relevant details for the product.
      - Product Type and Vendor (Optional):
Specify the product type and vendor if applicable.
      - Variants:
Scroll down to the "Variants" section. Here's where you'll create the different color and size combinations.
      a. Option 1: Color:
Click on "Add variant option" and choose "Color" from the dropdown menu. Enter the color options you want to offer (e.g., Red, Blue, Green).
      b. Option 2: Size:
Click on "Add variant option" again and choose "Size" from the dropdown menu. Enter the size options you want to offer (e.g., Small, Medium, Large).
      - Combinations:
Now, you'll create the various combinations of colors and sizes. Shopify will automatically generate all possible combinations for you.
      a. Under the "Variants" section, you'll see a table with the option headings (Color, Size). Start filling in the combinations by selecting the appropriate color and size from the dropdown menus.
      b. For each combination, you can set the SKU, barcode, price, compare at price (if applicable), and inventory quantity.
      c. If a particular combination is not available, you can leave it blank or set the inventory quantity to zero.
      - Images for Variants:
Under each variant, you can add images that showcase that specific combination. Click on "Add images" to upload the relevant pictures.
      - Pricing and Inventory:
Set the prices for each variant and specify the inventory levels if you want to track stock. You can also use the "Track quantity" option to manage inventory automatically.
      - Product Availability and Visibility:
Set the product availability (e.g., whether it's available for purchase) and visibility settings.
      - Save the Product:
Once you've filled in all the details for your product variants, click the "Save" or "Save product" button.
      - Preview and Publish:
You can preview how your product will appear to customers by using the "Preview" button. If everything looks good, you can publish the product to make it live on your Shopify store.
      - Test and Review:
After publishing, make sure to test the product variants on your storefront to ensure everything is working as expected. Make any necessary adjustments if needed.
That's it! You've successfully created a product with variants that include different colors and sizes within a single listing on Shopify. Your customers will be able to select their preferred color and size combinations when purchasing the product.

Hey Nercaley! Sorry to hear you’re having some trouble. Have you checked if your product is set to draft? I think that might be the issue. Here's a step-by-step solution for changing that setting to "active" on your store:
      1. From the Shopify admin panel, go to the "Products" section, which can be found in the left-hand menu
      2. Find the product that isn’t showing
      3. Click on the product to open its details
      4. On your right, you’ll see "Product Status" (shown at 7:50 on video)
      5. If you see ‘’Draft,’’ change this option to "Active"
      6. Under ‘’Sales Channels and Apps’’, also make sure the ‘’Online Store’’ option is checked
      7. Click the "Save" button.
      8. Go back to your Shopify store's page and refresh to see if the product is now visible.
I hope these steps have been helpful! Let me know if that works out.
If you have any further questions or run into any issues, don't hesitate to reach out for additional support. Good luck!

Hey there! Are you dropshipping or selling your own products? If you're dropshipping, what's your supplier? To track inventory inside Shopify, you'll need to click on each product variant and under 'inventory will be stocked at' select 'your supplier'. You need to make sure your supplier is able to track inventory. If you're not dropshipping, you just need to add how many products you have in stock.

Hey, you're welcome! You will receive a notification from Shopify when a customer purchases a product. You can view your orders in the 'Orders' section, located in your side menu.
If you have your own products to sell, you will need to handle the shipping process and send them to your customer. Make sure to setup your shipping settings inside Shopify, so customers are able to checkout!
Alternatively, if you prefer the dropshipping route, a supplier will take care of sending the products directly to the customer when someone places an order.

    • @Shopify-Success

Hey there! There are two different ways you can source your products, one is self-fulfillment and the other is dropshipping. With self-fulfillment you'll need to research for a suitable place where you can buy stock and then ship it yourself. To add products when doing self-fulfillment follow the steps in this video.
On the other hand, with dropshipping, the products come from a 3rd party supplier and there is nothing you need to do physically. They would take care of shipping for you, so you'll only need to have an online store and list the products. In this video I explain everything about how dropshipping works: ruclips.net/video/URZ8VlgBrwE/видео.html

If you decide to go the dropshipping route, you need to find the product that you want in the supplier's website and then sync your Shopify store with the supplier. If you're looking for a product supplier, I'd strongly recommend you check out Zendrop.

Hey! Both are possible with Shopify. If you have your own products, you would be doing what is called self-fulfillment. There is also a way to sell products without having to touch them, this is called dropshipping. I just made a video about this, I'm going to upload it in a few days! It's about how to start a print-on-demand dropshipping business with Printify and Shopify. For now, you can check out Printify! Why does if have your address with the inventory. What does that mean? I just started on shopify and i dont really know a lot about it

    • @Shopify-Success
      @Shopify-Success  Год назад

Hey there! Shopify's inventory addresses serve as physical locations where you store and manage your products. If you haven't edited those, Shopify will put your account's address as your default inventory address. Here's why these addresses are important:
      1. Order Fulfillment: When a customer places an order, the inventory address helps determine the most suitable location from which to fulfill the order. This information is crucial for efficient inventory management and shipping processes.
      2. Shipping Rates Calculation: By having accurate inventory addresses, Shopify can calculate shipping rates based on the customer's location and the inventory's location. This ensures that accurate shipping costs are presented to your customers during the checkout process.
      3. Multi-Location Inventory: Shopify allows you to manage inventory across multiple locations, such as warehouses, retail stores, or dropshipping partners. Each inventory location can have a unique address, enabling you to track and fulfill orders from the most appropriate location.
      4. Stock Allocation: When an order is placed, Shopify uses the inventory addresses to allocate stock from the corresponding location. This helps prevent overselling or stockouts by ensuring that the available inventory is accurately assigned to fulfill orders.
      5. Third-Party Integration: Accurate inventory addresses are important when working with third-party logistics providers or fulfillment services. These providers require specific location details to manage and process your inventory effectively.
To manage inventory addresses in Shopify, you can navigate to the "Locations" section in your Shopify admin dashboard. From there, you can add, edit, or remove inventory locations and their associated addresses as needed. If you are dropshipping, Shopify will sync the inventory of your supplier automatically, and add yours as another location by default.
Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know.

do i have to provide a url from the store that sells the product?

    • @Shopify-Success
      @Shopify-Success  Год назад

Hey Aaron, do you mean provide a url from your supplier? If that's the question, no. Or do you mean provide a url/domain of your store? If so yes. When setting up a Shopify store, you will need to provide a URL, also known as a domain name, for your store. A domain name is the web address that customers will use to access your online store.
There are a few options when it comes to choosing a URL for your Shopify store:
      1. Use a Shopify-provided URL: By default, when you sign up for a Shopify store, you will be assigned a URL that includes ".myshopify.com" at the end. For example, yourstorename.myshopify.com. This option is available at no additional cost and is suitable for those who are just starting out or want to test their business idea before purchasing a custom domain.
      2. Purchase a custom domain: Shopify allows you to purchase a custom domain directly through their platform. This gives your store a more professional and branded web address, such as www.yourstorename.com. Purchasing a custom domain usually involves an additional cost, which can vary depending on the domain registrar and the chosen domain name. It's usually a very low cost starting at $5 per year.
      3. Use an existing domain: If you already own a domain name from a different provider, you can connect it to your Shopify store. This option allows you to maintain your existing web address while utilizing Shopify's e-commerce features. Shopify provides instructions and support for connecting external domains.
Having a custom domain can enhance your store's credibility, brand recognition, and SEO (search engine optimization) efforts. It's definitely necessary for the long-term success.
Feel free to me know if you have any other questions!

Hey! This depends on your business model. If you are doing self-fulfillment, you'll need to have the products with you. If you are dropshipping, then the products come from a third-party supplier, like Alibaba for example. When dropshipping, you can sync your Shopify store catalog with your supplier, then choose what products you'd like to list from their platform. That way, they would take care of shipping for you, and you'll only need to have an online store, listing the products. Once an order comes in, the supplier will be notified and take care of it for you. Now here's more info:

Hey Alicia! You can view and manage which collections a product is in directly from the product page.
1.From your Shopify dashboard, go to 'Products' on the side menu.
      2. Click on the product you wish to remove from the men and shoes collections
      3. On the right side, you will see a box of settings. Towards the end of this section, find 'Collections'
      4. Here you will see all the collections the product has been added to. You can easily remove and add collections as desired.
Another way to do this is through the collections pages.
      1. From your Shopify dashboard, go to 'Products' on the side menu and then to 'Collections'
      2. Click on your Men collection
      3. You will see a list of which products have been added to this collection. Here you can then delete the ones you do not want to keep in the collection.
      4. Repeat the process for the Shoe collection.
Let me know how that works out for you! If you have any more questions, feel free to let me know

Hey there! To launch your online store you'll need to buy a domain. You can get a domain inside Shopify for around $15 per year, and there is no need to configure anything. Or you can go for a more economical option and get one for around $5 per year in NameCheap: namecheap.pxf.io/y2B9yB
You can then configure your new domain inside Shopify :) It's nothing too complicated. NameCheap will give you instructions for this!

    • @Shopify-Success
      @Shopify-Success  3 месяца назад

Hey there! If you have your own products to sell you have to handle self-fulfillment. To do this, simply add the products to your Shopify store as demonstrated in the video.
Once you get a sale, you'll be responsible for everything from packaging the order to shipping the product to your customer. This includes managing your inventory, ensuring timely delivery, and handling any customer service inquiries related to shipping. Self-fulfillment gives you complete control over the process, but it also requires more time and effort to manage all aspects of the fulfillment process.
Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to me :)

Hi, Loved you video, i subscribed and liked it! What does vendor mean in the Product organization section mean?

    • @Shopify-Success
      @Shopify-Success  Год назад

Hey! Thank you so much! The Vendor is a small title that appears underneath your product title on your storefront. For those selling products from other brands, they might want to add this other brand as a Vendor, so that it appears under the product title. If the products are yours, you can type in your brand name! And if you are selling someone else's products but you don't want this to be public, you can just leave it blank.

Photos wise can you get in trouble for using a photo of someone elses?

    • @Shopify-Success
      @Shopify-Success  Год назад

Hey Chay! Using someone else's photo without permission can potentially get you into trouble for copyright infringement. It's important to respect the rights of photographers and artists by obtaining proper licenses or permissions for the images you use on your Shopify store. I recommend using royalty-free images, there are many websites offering a large library of copyright free photos, so you can use them without an issue.
If you do decide to use someone else's photos, I recommend giving credit below the image and/or possibly reaching out for permission.

@@Shopify-Success thank you. Also, what about liability insurance? Should we go ahead and get it prior to listing any products? Also a business license must we obtain one prior? And when we refund we can have them send it back to us but then we go through supplier and get our money back correct?

    • @Shopify-Success
      @Shopify-Success  Год назад

Hey Chay! You're welcome. It is advisable for businesses to have liability insurance to protect against potential risks and claims. Liability insurance can provide coverage for product liability, customer injuries, property damage, and other liabilities. The specific insurance requirements may vary depending on your location, the nature of your products, and other factors. It's best to consult with an insurance professional to assess your specific needs and obtain appropriate coverage.
The requirement for a business license also varies depending on your jurisdiction and the type of business you operate. Certain cities, regions, or countries may have regulations that mandate obtaining a business license before conducting commercial activities, while others have a tolerance of thousands of sales before requiring one. It's essential to research and comply with the legal requirements specific to your location.
Refunds and Returns: When it comes to refunds and returns, the process can vary depending on your agreements with suppliers. As a store owner, you can establish your own refund policy, which should be clearly communicated to customers. When a customer requests a refund, you can handle the return process based on your policies. If you have agreements in place with your suppliers, you may be able to initiate the return process and seek a refund from the supplier. However, it's important to establish clear communication and agreements with your suppliers regarding returns and refunds to ensure a smooth process. Some of the bigger suppliers will likely have their refund policies listed somewhere on their website.
      Hope this helps!

Inside Shopify, you will create the online store, and add all the countries you will be selling to in your 'Market' settings. The costs and management for shipping will be your responsibility, but you can manage everything inside Shopify. Hey! Yes. To create variants on Shopify that include different colors, sizes, materials, or any other variables within a single product listing, you'll need to set up a product with multiple options and combinations. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do this:
      - Log in to Your Shopify Admin Panel:
Sign in to your Shopify account and access your admin dashboard.
      - Add a New Product:
Navigate to the "Products" section and click the "Add product" button to create a new product listing.
      - Product Title and Description:
Fill in the product title, description, images, and any other relevant details for this product and all its variants.
      - Variants:
Scroll down to the "Variants" section. Here's where you'll create the different color, size, or material combinations.
      a. Option 1: Material:
Click on "Add variant option" and choose "Material" from the dropdown menu. Enter the material options you want to offer (e.g: cotton, nylon, etc)
      b. Option 2: Size:
Click on "Add variant option" again and choose "Size" from the dropdown menu. Enter the size options you want to offer (e.g., Small, Medium, Large).
      Combinations:
Now, you'll create the various combinations of colors and sizes. Shopify will automatically generate all possible combinations for you.
      a. Under the "Variants" section, you'll see a table with the option headings (Material, Size).
      Pricing and Inventory:
Set the prices for each variant and specify the inventory levels if you want to track stock. You can also use the "Track quantity" option to manage inventory automatically.
      Product Availability and Visibility:
Set the product availability (e.g., whether it's available for purchase) and visibility settings.
      Save the Product:
Once you've filled in all the details for your product variants, click the "Save" or "Save product" button.
      Preview and Publish:
You can preview how your product will appear to customers by using the "Preview" button. If everything looks good, you can publish the product to make it live on your Shopify store.
      Test and Review:
After publishing, make sure to test the product variants on your storefront to ensure everything is working as expected. Make any necessary adjustments if needed.
That's it! You've successfully created a product with variants that include different materials, colors and sizes within a single listing on Shopify. Your customers will be able to select their preferred combinations when purchasing the product. If you only need to create different materials, just skip the color/size part.

    • @Shopify-Success
      @Shopify-Success  Год назад

Hey there! To duplicate a product listing on Shopify without having to type in the same description every time, you can use the "Duplicate" feature.
      Here's how:
      1. Go to your Shopify admin dashboard and click on "Products" in the left-hand menu.
      2. Find the product you want to duplicate and click on it to open the product editor page.
      3. In the top right-hand corner of the page, you'll see a "Duplicate" button. Click on it. You can choose to also include images and inventory tracking in your duplicated version.
      4. A new product page will open, pre-filled with all of the information from the original product listing.
You can make any necessary changes to the title, price, images, etc.
Once you're finished making changes, click "Save" to create the duplicated product, and make sure it's set to ACTIVE in the top right corner.
That's it! By using the "Duplicate" feature, you can save time and easily create new product listings with similar descriptions. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

Mine won't let me proceed without a SKU

    • @Shopify-Success
      @Shopify-Success  Год назад

Hi Tara! SKUs, or stock keeping units, are unique codes that you can use to track your inventory and sales internally. Unlike barcodes and UPC codes, which are globally unique and issued by a standards organization, SKUs are created by you and are specific to your business.
If you are getting an error message, you might need to setup SKUs for your products. You can do this by creating unique codes for each product variant. This will ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting. SKUs can be randomly generated, as long as they are consistent and unique for each product.
To make it easy to identify the product associated with a particular SKU, it's important to choose a format that is easy to read and remember. If you have many products without SKUs, you can use bulk editing to add SKUs to multiple products at once.
One quick question... Are you syncing Shopify with a dropshipping platform? If you are, then it's important to check your SKUs with them!
Hope this helps. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
