quick question - the texture manager in RM, has some conversion options, can we use the SRGB image and use the tx converter to choose SRGB - ACEScg option in color space. Of course, we need to enable ACES1.2 in the Features render globals tab. Also what is rendering over there in the texture manager colorspace tab.
Render colorspace is whatever colorspace rule your ocio configuration use for 32bit float data. And used for rendering, in aces cg workflow this would be acescg. If you gave a srgb image you want to linearise you would use srgb role. The image would be linearised into aces. If for example you have a bump, set it to data
can you please please do tutorial for how to work flow with blender and davinci while footage shooted in green screen, tutorial for adding VFX in that i guess it will help others, well thankyou, i hope you will think about this.

I find converting textures to acescg in nuke or resolve really pain in the ass. Did you try the Amir acescg converter for PRMan?
To be honest, I usually don’t convert any images in maya as i 9 times out of 10 get my textures already in acescg format direct from mari.
@@MeshmenStudio I never convert my textures in maya. I do it manually with oiio converter. Amir wrote nice UI for that and works perfectly with tex.
xXaia yeah , i hope proper idt is supported in the next major renderman release
@@MeshmenStudio Yes, the support is already confirmed :)
Yeah it’s needed

Why I use aces for renderman ,the maya Work slow?
That does not make sense, must be something else going on there
