Best of all time would really depend on ERA, in terms of modern ERA of pass heavy he is the best..Though I think if we are going with the all around best DT who can stop the run and pass rush, it is hard to think of anyone better than Warren Sapp..I think Donald is the best pass rushing DT, like a strong version of John Randal.

Donald is up there with the greatest platters to ever do it. Defensively he’s up there with LT, Ed Reed, Reggie White, etc… He’s got that transcendent talent and drive. He may be the greatest D lineman that has ever done it. In a time when linemen are better than they’ve ever been.

Loved watching John Randle and Henry Thomas together but Donald is on a different level to all interior defensive linemen in NFL history.

So fortunate to have seen AD’s most iconic plays of all time (and when it counted the most) in person - bringing Garoppolo down in the NFC championship game and throwing Joe Burrow down the last play of Super Bowl 56. Selfishly hoping for a return - never seeing him reign over a double and triple tag again is beyond depressing!!!

Donald was great, don’t get me wrong but I’d put Alan Page in the conversation for the GOAT DT. Not only was Page DPOY twice but he was actually the league MVP in 1971. He and LT are the only two defensive players in NFL history to be voted MVP.

Donald feels so much bigger than he actually is. That photo of him with Trent Brown towering over him from the Super Bowl is so wild. He only comes up to Brown's *shirt collar*.
AD beat guys that are a full head taller than him. Consistently!
A lot of players can say that they could beat the Bears single-handedly. I genuinely think Aaron Donald might beat a bear single handedly.

Eh I mean pass blocking and quick game a lot more complicated and better at dealing with great players. Sure rhey pass way more but there is a reason they don't give up way more sacks and it's not "because defenders aren't as good"
