Mercedes-Benz 107 SL/SLC - When elegance met quality

Today, I’m going to tell you the story of one of the most elegant cars in automotive history and the second longest-produced Mercedes-Benz cars - the Mercedes-Benz 107 produced from 1971 to 1989.
On this channel, we usually talk about cars of the 80’s and 90’s. The 107 family started its life at the beginning of the 70’s. But the R107 was available for purchase during the whole 80’s, and it was a very popular car at that time, so it truly belongs here.
The roadsters and coupes of the 107 series were light and sexy. In fact, they were a pinnacle of elegance for the 70’s and probably for the whole history of cars (yes, I am a little biased toward MB cars, that’s my favorite make).
The 107 in all its versions was a car with an ideal balance of elegant look, luxurious comfort, speed, and handling in corners.
The 107 SL/SLC were versatile cars that you could use according to your today’s tasks and emotions. You could drive them to your office or for shopping. You could go on a cross-continental trip. You could take a relaxing ride along the ocean shore and visit a couple of fancy restaurants by the way. Or you could push a pedal harder and have a lot of fun both on a mountain serpentine road or on an endlessly straight highway through a desert.
This car could do whatever you want and gave you the best impression and enjoyment no matter what you did behind its steering wheel.
