Dear Hillary, none of my business, but just a suggestion to try switching the two horse prints to face each other, and see if you feel any difference. I have experienced that when the animals in a print face each other, I feel the room cozier!

I would probably put the horse prints the other way around- facing towards each other. Love the fact that you can paint in a dress and not get covered in paint! ❤

I do like the horse pictures in the dining room, but I would switch them so the horses are facing each other , instead of looking away from each other!

My mom used to have 1 peony bush, and when we moved ( several times) it always came with us!

Hilary, you and I are just two peas in a pod when it comes to preparing for all the things and might happen. I’m ALWAYS the one who has what someone needs. 😃One of my favorite things about you and your channel is that I get soooo many moments where I see how you plan ahead and prepare for things that might happen in such an intentional way and I literally say out loud “ohhhh, that’s a GREAT idea! I’m doing that.” We also both value a tidy car. 😊 I love the horse prints in their new spot. I feel like they have perfect lighting for them there and I notice them and their beauty more than where they were previously. VERY interested to see how the strawberry plants in the pink puppy pool work out! Your calm, intentional, practical, plan ahead sensibilities always make me feel like I’ve come across a kindred spirit. Hope you are having a wonderful summer with your family!

Dear Hilary, I know the baskets on your living room shelves are used for organizational holders, but would you ever consider removing some of them and adding books or other pretty items? I think it would help keep your eye moving around the room not focus on the amount of baskets? I know that sounds snarky, and I'm not trying to be, just a watcher and wonderer of sorts. lol Love all your projects! xo
Thanks Renie, yes I’ve considered it. Right now they hold a lot of miscellaneous craft things but with the basement craft area being finished I can probably move things around and take away a few baskets. I agree it could be lighter 💛
I love the fact you show us the imperfections in your home as you improve it every day !
Put the "China cabinet" in the basement. Purchase a buffet. The horizontal buffet will make the room wider and larger.
It’s always a joy to see you. The dining room table and chairs are gorgeous!
I would definitely go to wal mart or somewhere and get a clear table cloth to protect the beautiful wood ..
Growing up with three siblings,my mom wanted to protect the beautiful antique dining table we received from our grandparents. Every six months to a year,she would go to one of those hardware type stores that sold vinyl,oil cloth,etc. by the roll. ( the store would cut it for you) She would buy a length that would drape a little on each side and it was VERY heavy weight,clear vinyl. You could still enjoy the beautiful wood finish but it took all of the beating and protected the table. Hmm,wonder if JoAnn’s sells that?🤔
The house looks so inviting Hillary! I was thinking that a grandfather clock would look so great on the wall next to the fireplace where the chair and little table were!
I love Windsor chairs! I live in CA and a neighbor of mine, who is originally from NH, had a set of chairs that they brought from their family farm back in the 1970’s. They are retiring and moving back to the family farm in NH and didn’t want to take the chairs back. Well, guess who got them? lol. I’ve restored one of the chairs into a black espresso stain. They are so well
made and beautiful!

I am sure you thought of this, but you can get a really mid thickness piece of glass cut for the top of your table for fairly inexpensive for Custom and Ani last place and I will protect the beautiful finish on that table
Just a precaution sometimes strawberries don’t come back when planted in containers. At least in my experience and also they are heavy feeders so you will want to fertilize them.
I have a small pair of scissors in my glove box to cut tags or whatever and some notepaper just an idea to go along with your suggestions
Oh and that dinning room table is BEAUTIFUL, I love it 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙋🏻♀️
Have you ever used Command Strips to hang up your framed art? It works great! There’s no commitment as you can just pull it off without damaging your walls if you end up changing your mind and no nail holes to fill afterwards. It’s a win-win! Just a suggestion that I’ve used and found to be very helpful.😀

I love your strawberry pool 😂❤ so sweet. My favorite plants are roses. I just added two David Austin Generous Gardener to either side of my front door. I hope my vision comes to life and they grow over the top of the door. Wish me luck! ❤

We have used the Equate Anti Itch spray for YEARS with our grandchildren. We call it MAGIC SPRAY because it makes the stings/ scratches feel So Much Better. It’s wet so it must dry before you add a bandaid…. Which they often forget by then…. I just got 2 more for the summer….

As the hostas get bigger you can break them apart and spread them around really easily! Love hostas! Super easy when they are barely poking thru in the spring.

Should’ve kept some logs and tree branches to decorate your home. Pottery Barn was charging $200 for a tree branch a couple of years ago. 😂😂😂
A friend gave me an armload from her fallen birch tree six years ago and I stack them in my real wood burning fireplace in the summer after I clean out the ashes in the spring,it looks nice,not so naked!😅🤣😂
Yes, I think the horses should face each other. When they face away it looks like they’re mad at each other.

Nobody commented on the blueberry bushes. I'm sure you read on the label for the blueberry bushes that they will grow to be quite tall and wide. We have 5 bushes and every year they get bigger and produce tons of blueberries. I don't know if putting them in front of the hostas will work.

Oh no! Not plastic straws and cups 🙈 If you don't like the paper ones maybe consider getting some stainless steel ones - they aren't expensive but can be reused!

It's ALEAYS such a TREAT to see you! Currently, honestly I have TWO fav. YOU and Kristen Hoffman. Love the strawberry patch garden, the pink is PREICOUS! When I see you working on home projects is a dress, I worry paint might get on it etc.? Love the horse prints in the dining area, BUT this is just me, I have to say I got so EMOTIOANLLY attached your dining table set. Silly, I know, but after watching you for so long, there are just so many fond memories. Also I thought the wood tone matched the China cabinet, better. But again, it's not MY home, so my opinion doesn't matter. Again I absolutely LOVE your videos! Huge FAN!

The hostas will grow like crazy and you can split them after a few years. I have zero gardening skills...but this I know from my husband. I love hostas and have them lining our front walk. Just an idea...the two linen chairs at dining room table would look amazing in a Ralph Loren "country gent plaid" or a toile with hounds and English riding hunt scene.

I saw if you paint some small red rocks and put by your strawbery plants before they get the red berries the birds leave your actual plants alone when they turn red because they get sick of it being rocks. Not sure if it works. Let me know if you try it out. 🙂

Love your decor style. The dining set is gorgeous. Your car is well stocked and organized, yet I can’t store some of your items in mine because may be our weather is different, contents will lose their function under high temperature in the car. Your videos are always presented with great enjoyable contents.
I usually have a bag i throw beach towels and swim suits in and bring with us when we go somewhere just in case. We also being nets and buckets for catching critters.
Oh and if you get a plastic jar that is nice to have on hand for lightning bugs or catching critters too.

Just an idea. You have so much land and that tree is now gone. It would be so much fun to buy a self pollinating apple tree for the kids. I bought mine through I think fast growing trees they are grown to be self pollinating it is two apple trees, growing together. It is amazing. It actually had fruit the first year a d they’re not expensive.

I had strawberries in a planter box last year and they died over the winter. Probably got too cold and froze since they didn’t have as much insulation as plants in the ground. Maybe putting them in the garage or wrapping them would’ve helped.
