- Both of my females happened to be laying eggs on the same day. I share a bunch of the things I got to learn and experience in making this video.

I am a hobby breeder and I am just starting to collect eggs!!! It's so much fun!... Like a little gift you just find sitting in there for you once a month lol
@@Bingley-uk2eb Hi there! I would think so. I have left eggs alone in the tank before (not until they actually hatched) but because I wasn't home and forgot about them. I have a misting system setup so as long as you're doing proper husbandry for the geckos themselves I would think that's a fine environment for the eggs to hatch - the reason we take them out is so that when they actually are hatching they are not in the same tank as the adults in case they mistake them for prey and eat them. If you can take them out, it would be ideal. Then you wouldn't be worried about them accidentally drying out and you will know when they hatch and the babies will definitely need to go into a separate enclosure. If the eggs are NOT fertile, just like a female gecko laying eggs, I have left them in there and it does no harm - like when I get ready to properly clean the tank I just find them and toss them away.

How long does the actual egg laying process take? I *think* my female is laying, shes never dug herself into the soil like this before so I want to know when to check
did u find an answer? my crested gecko is going thru the same thing and im worried about how long she should spend laying in the ground.
