- A Custom Track Showcase special of all the Rainbow Road's as Mario Kart Wii custom tracks! The only one this video doesn't include is the MK8 Rainbow Road and I wouldn't be surprised if it never gets made due to anti-gravity shenanigans. All of these Rainbow Roads are available to play through CTGP Revolution except for DS Rainbow Road but that one will hopefully be added shortly!
No commentary on this one, enjoy the Rainbow Road music and various remixes!

I have been wondering about this ever since the release of Mario Kart 8... WHY is DS Rainbow Road NOT in Mario Kart 8!? I mean it's PERFECT for that game!!!

Wow I never knew someone updated the original SNES remake, weird how my fav custom track from just a few years back feels outdated now.
Looking at these, I'm honestly a bit disappointed by the MK8 one. It's a decent track but doesn't really have the charm of some of the others. Credit to them for trying something new, but I really hope the next game gives us what we were all looking forward to: Something along the lines of the 3DS track with crazy anti-gravity.
Imo, GC and Wii captured the idea of Rainbow Road best: An energetic, stunning, and difficult finale that tops everything previously seen. 3DS might have the best track, but the music is kinda...I dunno, bit tame for the grand finale track.

Ok the custom tracks are nice and all, but the nostalgia I’m getting from the music. I can’t dude. This series does wild things to me. I hope it’s future is brighter than it currently seems.
The series' future doesn't look dark to me. Sure, the MK8D DLC's graphics don't look the greatest, but does that make the tracks bad? And Mario Kart Tour isn't as horrible as everyone made it seem.

Its not a custom track, its a normal track....
I'm not sure if you're trolling for or not, but in case you aren't, this game is Mario Kart Wii, so the track's already in the game by default. There would be no need to remake it.

well, let's be honest, once you get past the SNES and GBA crap it's not that complicated (the other 4 standard ones thankfully only have one).

well it's not his fault that Bowser's Castle tracks keep on getting remade more than rainbow road tracks and that there's 20 Billion SNES and GBA tracks
They better remake MK8's Rainbow Road (Even though it wasn't too good) in Mario Kart Wii, but i'm not sure if it's possible due to anti-gravity.
They just make all the turns and looks the same!
Bruceja - Gaming & More! Alright, I have been working on some MK8 custom track ports:
-Rainbow Road. First test: Didn't work (WAY big) - gave up.
-Thwomp Ruins. This was the second one, worked more on it. (Way big too, and didn't work); at 2nd time -> reduced polygons to make it working on MKWii -> looks shitty. - Still in progress
-SNES Donut Plains 3 MK8 version -> it works, but needs much work on it anyways.
☀ ＡＶＤ Keep going! I'd especially love to see Thwomp Ruins in MKWii as that was my favorite track in MK8.

Someone needs to do a new SNES Rainbow Road (not inspired by MK7 remake) and MK8 Rainbow Road as soon as possible! I'd love to see them :)
TodoNintendoS there actually is other SNES Rainbow Roads but theyre too similar to the MK7 one and the MK7 one is better so I decided to showcase the very first one!
TWD98 In that case I'd have removed MrBean's version from the video and added that SNES RR instead. I don't want to offend anyone but that one looks... outdated :/

Parker1299 The good one you saw in the video was made quite recently, about like 3-4 days ago. There has been an old version of it for a long time, but it lacked the loop and the corkscrew because no one knew how to do it, instead it was a jump and a cannon respectively
TWD98 I found out recently that it was only possible because of a jump ramp. I spammed wheelie button on the gamecube controller and somehow I MANAGED to get a random trick... sadly enough, that screwed me over alot. x.x

When you let go of the accelerate button when hitting those speed boosts, you get a mega boost. That changed my childhood so much. I always saw new opportunities

Do you fall off if you don't hop on the loop in Mario Kart DS Rainbow Road or is that just a tactic to edge up it faster? Also I've noticed on a few videos of this track players often ride into the barriers on the loop and the corkscrew, is that a glitch related to driving upside down or is it just due to the difficulty of manoeuvring with the camera inverted?

My only complaint would be that the N64 Rainbow Road is just too short just being 1 lap, I think that 2 laps would be a good compromise

Its a good game but its slower and harder to hack. No cts in it. Races are closer in mario kart wii.
mario kart wii isnt the most skill-based mario kart, but it is the hardest one to learn all the strategies for.

EpicLPer just use normal methods like letterbomb or sd card menu, depending on dolphin's wii version ( i havent used it before so idk what it is.)
Tyler Platt Dolphin is a Wii emulator if you mean that now. And yes I just tried, dumped NAND with CTPG Channel installed but it's crashing Dolphin on boot.
EpicLPer i meant wii version as in, 3.1+ only version 3.2+ of wii can use ctgp, so you may not be able to :/

For MK8, we should've gotten a remake of DS Rainbow Road, would have worked well with anti-gravity, not another rehash of SNES Rainbow Road.
