I got my Avodas in last week, went with the Axiom 105 s, took me a while to get used to how light they are compared to my previous gamers with 120s KBS tours. These are great, I love the minimal offset, however I do wish I went with 105x just for a little more stability with less kick.
I wish I had the assets to experiment with stuff like this. I’d love to have my 4,5,6 the same length as my 7. Possibly all of the the same length as my 8. Then the rest of the clubs standard.
How do you like the axiom 105x in the wedges? I know it will be a little different because you play one length shafts from 8 iron to lob wedge. I’m looking to get axiom 105x in my next set of irons and wondering if i should get it through the wedges as well. Cheers
I have one luxrul bag I got in 2022, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...
How are the sort irons around the greens and especially from green side bunkers? Because the shafts are longer than standard wedge shafts, I am just wondering if you had to change your setup and swing on these short shots
I use pinhawk single lengths all the way down to LW I can tell you it's totally fine. When I am 80m in I grip down and have hands placed where it would be for a regular wedge. Every shot plays just the same imo, not easier and not harder. Greenside bunkers fine too
I've been watching a lot of your handicap stuff (still trying to break 120 myself 😅). Do you think these would be okay for a high-handicap player with a faster swing speed? I've been drooling over them for a while now.
I’m specifically buying a set BECAUSE I’m a high speed player. My irons balloon and go way too high because of ball speed and spin so I’m hoping the stronger lofts will help keep the ball flight down
@@joshoddy But surely you'll almost never hit the 2w into a green, and it won't be that much more accurate than the driver to rely on for narrow holes with hazards (that's 3 iron time) so does it really do anything of value that you couldn't get with hitting a driver with a shorter tee height to take some distance off? Maybe the occasional par 4 where a driver would go too far, but that has to be a rare occourance. Wouldn't have thought the gap between the driver and 3 iron would appear much when playing if you hit your 3 iron really far

Nice! So you think you would have gone with 105X over 125X?

Love the idea of a combo set but £2.5k with the axioms is mental.
It’s pricey for a reason! The shafts are £150 each alone!

Is the 3 iron a hollow head? Also you've still got a 3 wood or a mini driver? When would you hit that rather than driver or the 3 iron?
When you want to hit it farther than a 3 iron but not as far as a driver
I’ve got a 2W then a 7.5 degree driver! Perfect gapping 😅

@@freddym6643 it’s for a very specific shot! If I had a hole with runout 290 I’d hit 2W if it was run out of 260-270 I’d hit 3i
This was a great video now I want them even more
Sick video brother
Are your irons all the same length?
Pretty sure he’s in combo length. Wedges through 7 are 8 iron length, and then 6-3 get progressively longer like a normal set
@@JamesJones-zr8fi no mate they are combo length LW - 8iron all 8iron length then go up in half inch increments from there!
@@l33tLX yes sir
I don’t have an instagram account. I do want to get these irons though.
