I’m a newbie to golf, been playing with a variable length set since I started 5 months ago, and the sound of a one length (or combo length) sounds amazing. Having one set up for all my irons sounds like a dream in regards to learning and locking in a feeling.
You are a lucky one to be testing this ... of course ... I'm into single length only. But great to see some more info about the clubs. The set that Bryson is using now at the Masters are not yet out from Avoda ... but these will be interesting times. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I've played regular traditional length golf clubs for 42 yrs. I have no issues with club head speed and can drive a very long way. I'm switching to single length irons that match my height and stance. It's a no brainer. I love them. Great distance, great control, great set up. Can't wait to score even lower. Been practicing with my own single length 7i and 8i. Love it.
Are these pure elite player blades, muscle back, cavity back, etc. Any forgiveness? I’ve been looking between players distance and cavity backs. Are these harder to hit than those types of irons?
I built myself a set of Pinhawk single length from sw to 8 at 36,5 inch , completed with a 7 1/2 inch longer and 6, 5 , 4 Ping eye 2 in standard length. All clubs have the same swingweigth. Really good combo for a senior like me and not expensive.
Awesome to be ahead of the game on reviewing these.. they are going to blow up. Can you review how you grip the larger grips? I have not been able to hold the larger grips in my lead hand under the pad like a smaller grip.
That would be awesome! 👏 what is your hand length and what model/size jumbomax grips are you using? Yeah the lead hand for me feels like it flips out of my lead hand on the down swing and at impact
So u can do that pretty easy by building a set of cobra forged tecs through 7 iron then the one lengths up from there . Only hard part if u have to put the set together one club at a time on the website
@@joshoddy I would buy them, as I love one length. BUT i was making the point I would like to try them first…..don’t suppose you wanna let me hit those ones …..
I built myself a set of Srixon ZX5 irons in a similar concept but I built them as a 2 length. P, 9 and 8 were STD 9i length and the 7, 6, and 5 were 6i length. I then lofted and lied them with the lofts adjusted to get good gaping throughout the bag. They were a revelation for me. I have since built another set of ORKA RS10MB since in a graphite shaft at STD lengths through the bag. I still feel that my game is better for having done the experiment and am seriously considering going back to this idea for these ORKA irons.
Iv b built a combo set of edels sls gap ,sand ,pitcher wedge, are all 36.5 ,8 ,7, 6, are all 37,4 and 5 iron are 38 ,do u need speed to get these up in the air and go the right distance
Ironically I would want the combo set to go the other way. Same length from 7 to 4 iron, then decreasing length starting at 8 iron to wedges like normal. The shorter the club the more consistent I am so wouldn’t want to have to swing an 8 iron length lob wedge near the green.
They are definitely bladed but I’ve felt there quite forgiving and almost get away with a few bad strikes! They do have a utility iron available abit more forgiving!
@@joshoddy got it! Thanks so much. The concept of the combo set seems really smart to me - just not sure if I'm at the right skill level for these yet (14 hc). Not seeing the utility iron on the website currently (though maybe just missed). I'm sure they're about to get a TON of attention.
Anytime I play simulator golf I shoot under par I’ve never broken 74 on real course and courses I play are much easier than what simulator course suppose to be
I agree combo length Irons can work better than One Length did for most. You really need speed to be able to get the lower numbered irons to fly high enough.
The company name is Avoda (עבודה) so it’s not too surprising. I don’t know if the owner is Jewish or he just has a thing for Hebrew. At first, I thought the company could be Israeli, but then I found out it’s owned by a British guy.

The clubs looks great!! I have heard of combo sets but the other way 4i-7i same and then varied length from 8i-lw. But if it works or feels more comfortable that is what counts. @@joshoddy I played varied length clubs since I started which is over 30 years ago. I had some breaks in between. But since I don't get to play a whole lot I thought this would make it is easier since there would be less variables involved!! This season will be the first whole season with them!!

Great review of these clubs! I always thought of this concept except in reverse, with variable in the short irons then same length on 7 and beyond.
How do you rate their wedges ?
Hey Gspro Partner I’m think of getting these would you advise 1 length or combo?
I would combo length to start Mark! Lemme know if you want a discount code
How did u find the height and distances with the shorter irons like 9 iron to lw ?
Do they sell just the heads ?
I don’t know if they have head only options and my set has been a shock to the system! Every club is better in my bag since putting in this set!
I purchased heads only and received them yesterday
@@BruceTorolahow did you go about doing that?
Hey Josh, never noticed your gc3 was set up a bit higher than the turf. Does that help with reading the ball better?
