Exactly right!! Just a subtle amount of wrist muscle tension, upper and lower, makes ALL the difference. And the thumb placement is slightly modified from a semi-auto grip. Perfect way to explain it with the handshake. 👍

Is the culprit of discomfort a function of acceleration, or the second derivative of projectile velocity called Jerk? or both?
Specifically, will a 4" barrel of 9mm parabellum caliber shooting 115 gr full metal jacket ammo 1190 fps 362 ft-lb energy at muzzle cause more discomfort than a
147 grain Hdy XTP at subsonic 975 fps and 310 ft-lbs at muzzle?
Do you have a source for pistol recoil discomfort? I am trying to decide which has less discomfort from recoil for the same firearm?

Should that really be the reason why I do not hit properly?
Don't get me wrong, I am locked in "hard mode", shortest distance I can shoot in my club/range is 25 meters or 27.3 yards. And with my pistols, the deuce-deuce not counting due to barrel length (Mk4 Hunter), I have about 6/10 on the target (like on the edges at times, nowhere near the center)...the rest? geez...no idea...If only the swiss had trainers like Paul...

muscles and weight DO matter in recoil control, it's not THE crucial factor but it definitely plays a role, just like hand / finger size does, and it's paradoxal that an ex-powerlifter with huge ass sausage fingers would say the contrary, i don't know why people keep perpetuating that myth
one reason why he got such good control is because he knows how to manipulate the gun, obviously, but also because he's fucking built and got the grip strength coming with said build, simple as that

    PSA FOR ATF:
The only outcome will be division of the citizens in what used to be the “United” States of America. NONE of these laws or restrictions or hoops we have to jump through will EVER result in criminals obeying any of it. We are heading towards law abiding citizens being unarmed amid well armed law breakers. For the protection of my family and friends and strangers in need, I for one believe we have the right to defend ourselves - who else will do it at 3 a.m. when law enforcement is minutes away?: Forgive me for asking evildoer but would you be so kind as to refrain from the bludgeoning/stabbing/shooting… for a mere 140 seconds until the police arrive? Thank you.
And another thing - if firearms were truly the issue, then mathematically speaking, with all the firearms that have been sold to citizens in the past 20 years we would have tens of millions of deceased Individuals in this country.......
