"Sareri" - Kees (Cover of Komitas)

no tempo, no rhythm… just emotion, that’s all you need for a song like this.
I recorded these vocals a cappella and we (my producer/husband and I) built the chords around my initial take. So put some headphones on, sit in a dark room, close your eyes and meditate while you hear my heart break.
for my people:
Some of you may love this, and some of you may find this sound jarring because you’ve only ever heard Komitas be sung or presented in one way. This is what feels authentic to me and I hope it makes you feel something/anything at all🤍
This is my first release in years and creating this cover was the gateway to me feeling up to releasing and writing again(!!!) listen and let me know what you feel..
