@@boxerboy860 Didn't Federer become historic #1 in a lot less years? Tuché on 4 straight slams. The great Djok had about 16000 ranking points at that time. Doubt anyone will ever break that mark.
Great comments Tahmid and happy new year! There is master class tennis and then there is Djokovic class tennis and that's what we witnessed on Sunday. Reminiscent of Joko's beat down of Rafa 2 years ago in straight sets, we're talking about a player who has a gear like we've never seen before. In 2019, Rafa entered the final having won all 6 of his matches in 18 straight sets. He was arguably playing the best of his career in Australia and was poised to win his 2nd AO. Novak absolutely annihilated Rafa 6-3 6-2 6-3 in 2:04. On Sunday, Medvedev entered the final having won 20 matches in a row and presented a formidable challenge to Novak - or so we thought - but 1 hour and 53 minutes later, it was over! 7-5 6-2 6-2 and it wasn't even that close. What is so astonishing about Djokovic is his climb to the mountaintop because on 1/1/2011, he entered that season with 1 Grand Slam title to his name and was deep in the shadows of Roger Federer who had a staggering 16 GS titles already and Rafa had 9! Want to know just how dominant and consistent Djokovic is? He's won 11 out of the last 24 Grand Slams since 2015 and 6 out of the last 12. He's not only about to overtake Roger in total weeks at number 1 with 311, he's also going to pass him this year with career Top 10 wins currently sitting at 218 to Roger's 224. He's 6 years younger than Fed! By comparison, Rafa has 174. I always follow the Big Title race because that's more objective in comparing the Big Three: DJOKOVIC 59 Big Titles 18 Grand Slams 36000 points 36 M1000 titles 36000 points 5 WTF titles 7100 points TOTAL POINTS 79,100 FEDERER 54 Big Titles 20 Grand Slams 40000 points 28 M1000 titles 28000 points 6 WTF titles 8800 points (adjusted) TOTAL POINTS 76,800 RAFA 56 Big Titles 20 Grand Slams 40000 points 35 M1000 titles 35000 points 1 Olympic Gold TOTAL POINTS 75,000 In summary, Joko has become the most dominant, versatile and better player of the Big Three as he is the lone player with a winning H2H record against the other 2. At 33, I see him dominating for another 2-3 years and with 11 Grand Slams left through 2023, does anyone see him winning less than 4-5?
@@STyLfootbaLLerDeki The problem I see is that French Open seems to be a given for Rafa each year still. If you gave Rafa French for next 2 years, then Novak needs the other 3 slams this year, plus the same 3 slams the next just to go ahead, and then Rafa could still level with another French after that. Unless either Novak or someone else steps up to the French, Rafa will win the slams race just on the French alone.
@@Mr.Edd3905 you're right, but I think that Novak is good for another Australian and 2 Wimbledon...probably no French unless Rafa is injured or retired and maybe but just maybe a uso
Novak needs to just focus on improving his first serve. If he keeps serving like how he did in AO 21 then it could be another great season for him. He will have really serious chance of winning both Wimbledon and US open if he keeps working on his first serve.
I don't think I've ever seen Joko serve better. That blistering serve down the T was devastating! He set a PR for most aces in a tournament with over 100! Look out ATP, Novak is still getting better!
Absolutely! And he's the two-time defending champion at SW19. Could Novak catch Fed in Wimbledon titles? He's already at 5 and grass is perfectly suited for his game.
I think you meant atp finals participants 😂😂😂 and btw congrats to nole on winning his 18th major I was so worried before the tournament and expected a much tougher final but nole showed why he is the king of RLA 👑🏆👏
Roger's numbers are very squeed winning 12 slams between Wimbledon ''03 and USO ''07 and around 200 weeks No.1 but from 2008 on at the age of 26 his ''free reign'' was clearly ended by Rafa & Novak! Since then Roger has only managed to win 8 slams, Rafa 17 & Novak 18 judging by the numbers, there has really only been The Big Two for the last decade and a half!
Really only the Big One since 2011. Novak has been THE player of the decade and he is still going strong at Number One. He owns Rafa on hard courts and grass and is often competitive on clay.
Would have been so good if he reversed the ages of Djokovic and Federer in 2014, 2015, 2019 Wimbledon matches. 6 years is a lot of difference in tennis. Do u have common sense??
@@lawdogwales5921 yupp post 2011 only 1 guy is racking the slams everywhere and that is Novak. Nadal has 3 slams outside clay post 2010. His age went from 24 to 34 during this time.
I hear you but you've got to give credit where credit is due and Federer in 2017 was the best player on the planet winning 3 GS over the next 12 months after coming back from injury and he won the sunshine double in 2017 going on to win 7 titles that year at age 36!
Yes, that was disgusting IMO, what they did to him. In the off season they don't play, but the weeks are still counted. He was world number 1 and weeks at number one are weeks at number one. I still don't understand how can you freeze that? How can you deny a fact? Weeks at number one shouldn't be a regulated record, it should just be a matter of fact record. If he was number 1 during that period, that's just a fact. I think those 20 weeks should've counted. That being said I don't think he should stop playing the masters and the 500s, because even if he gets to 320, that's still very close to Roger's 310 and Roger could get back on top quickly. It's not likely, but if someone can do it, it's Roger Federer. I think he has one good season in him and it has to be this one, because next year he'll be 41. To me the knee surgeries are much more concerning than his age is.
@@matangox I agree with everything you said, it is the biggest injustice, among many towards Novak, but the harder they try the more motivated Novak gets, and denies them pleasure of destroying the Greatest tnnis player in the history of this sport. They stolen 20weeks from his tally, they denied him the right to fight for UO, they tried practically anything they could to denied him AO too, and not a single media or atp, mentioned that Novak has given one million from his AO prize money to lower ranked players. We are living in the era of great injustice.
The freeze in March 2020 Novak was only 370 points in front of Rafa. The frozen rankings actually helped him in the long run because Nadal could have potentially gained at Cincinnati (if he attended) or more points at world tour finals if he got the better of that tie break against Medvedev. Instead this scenario guarantees (mathematically) minimum 317 weeks. I'll take that as a win.
Considering the current statistics and other indicators, one would be more certain to state that Nole will end up the goat when all is said and done. He is smashing all the previous stats set by Roger and does not seem to slow done in his achievements. Just my opinion.🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
In my mind Nole is the GOAT by now. Vs Roger who got both his majors and number of weeks being No.1 in a weak era. Less than half of the players he played against in finals would end up in Hall of Fame, some good players were too old and on the way out. It was much easier to win majors then than now. How many majors has Roger won against Rofa and Nole after 2011, which was bench mark of Nole's nominace? All the majors Nole won were against great players, and those who beated him in finals were great players as well. Most of them if not all of them would get in HOF. It's been strongest tennis era ever. When Nole entered his prime, what was the highest rank could Roger get himself at? 2 or 3 briefly at his best. VS Rafa who won more majors on clay which is a big question mark right there. He could not get to number 1 seed or could not hang on. Nole is only human being who won all 9 Masters thus far. If Roger or Rafa are better, why neither of them couldn't win all 9? Who was it to defeat Rafa, the King of clay, in Monta Carlo and interrupted Rofa's winning streak on clay? Best Nole can, and did, beat best Rofa on clay.
What’s more amazing is he holds historical #1 under ten years, won 4 straight WTF, won 4 straight grand slams 😳those are the biggest achievements you can get in the sport literally!
Fed is a GOAT in so much that anyone who was once the GOAT is always a GOAT. But I agree with you Novak has eclipsed Fed in the GOAT debate. It's only betweem him an Nadal. The fact that they've both accomplished so much playing in the same era as each other (and Fed) says a lot.
@@seanhurley4003 Federer was actually playing the same era as the guys that would eclipse him instead of waiting 25-35 years like Rod Laver crusty watching everyone make history they made it with and against him
It's good to have you back making so many videos again. I think you at your best when crunching the numbers. I agree that Novak will be number one for a long time. 350 or even 400 weeks seems within reach. Maybe more. I think he may skip the minor 500 level tourneys for now. But I think he will play Miami where he owns a home. Monte Carlo too, where he lives. And Rome which is so close to Monaco. Roland Garros and Wimbledon of course. The Olympics, perhaps Cincinnati, and the US Open. Then Paris Bercy, which is a train ride from Monaco. And finally the ATP WTF which is also close to Monaco.
Thank you for the support my friend, as always a pleasure to have you on the channel and great to hear your thoughts! That's a great prediction of Novaks schedule haha and makes total sense cos of your reasoning
Maybe. But the lead is not that huge right now. Isn't he defending Madrid and Rome right now? He needs Indian Wells and Miami to not be cancelled or else that points gap could close up fairly quickly.
@@kamencic He intimated that he might not play so many events as he normally would. So, I am happy if he just plays one of them (like he has done lately with Canada & Cincy).
His priority will shift as per his recent interview and as mentioned by tahmid.. He is shifting focus on majors and winning them only and may not compete the entire season. He is letting the rafas.. medvedevs.. Theims the sascha s and the tsitsipas s to take over no 1 and year end no 1 as he has achieved what he has to.
Great analysis as always, Tahmid. You said it best: enjoy it while it lasts. Still such a great time for the tennis world. Those 16 years you mentioned are frightening.
@@TahmidSalehTennisForum Yeah, such a crazy stat. What are your thoughts on Rogers' comeback? Enjoyed Novak and Med in the final, but I got kind of sentimental about Feds' net game.

@Vuk Zugic winning a 2nd French open title would be incredible indeed but he'd most likely need to overcome Rafa and we all saw how hard that is last year! And thank you I appreciate your support :)
That Murray run is still one of the most incredible runs and accumulation of points I have seen. He ended the year as No.1 the same year that Novak had nearly 18,000 points at the half way stage of the season.
@@Mr.Edd3905 Andy Murrays run was spectacular. I think he was the man. To bad he got injuired would he still be a top 3 now? Absolutely. I honestly think that Andy Murray is underrated. If it weren’t for his injury he would have I think at least 8 GS now and hence Djokovic and Nadal would be two or three less.
@@scapegoat413 - Hewitt, Nalbandian, Roddick, and Safin to name a few. More importantly I just think Fed was just a flat out better player early in his career.
Last year Djokovic was "robbed" beacuse ATP froze the rankings in mid March due to the pandemic.Tennis season was resumed in late August. That is five months, or 20-22 weeks.
His otherworldly form years are always a year before the Olympics, 2011, 2015, 2020. Had quite crummy luck otherwise he had a chance to win Wimbledon, the Olympics and a regularly-scheduled US Open (shame for the DQ). Nadal looked imperious in that RG final, but who knows if it were held earlier as usual.
Tahmid, I do think that this year will be different though. I think he will play more so that he can break the tie with Sampras for year end number 1. I do think Novak will get to 400 for sure. I really do.
Hmm, good point. But he said after the final that he will focus more on the slams now that he has the total weeks @ No. 1 record in the bag. Of course, another Tour Finals and Year End No. 1 would be great to have - for the record books.
Tahmid, I would like to know your thoughts on the notion many bring that "slams are all that matter" in the goat debate. If that were the case, then Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka would be equal players. But ofc overall stats show Murray is far ahead. From my point of view, while slams are certainly the biggest prizes in the sport, tennis is played much more than 2 months in a year. Weeks at number 1 and year end number 1's are just as important because they show sustained greatness as being the best player. Pete Sampras once said that he considers his 6 consecutive yearend number 1's as his greatest accomplishment and not his slam count. Djokovic and Federer are far ahead of the pack in this category. WTF's, Master 1,000 titles and OG's are important factors as well.
Great comment thank you for sharing. I've said in many of my videos that slam count is not the only thing that matters in the so called goat debate. You have to look at everything

@Young Noh absolutely he turned his career completely around last 10 years winning 18 slams and creating unbelievable history Rafa is always my favorite but Djokovic is the blood and guts Warrior Rafa was 2005-2011 but Djokovic poisoned Rafa mind after 2011 Rafa might only have 3 wins on hard court over Djokovic in 10 years
The only way I see Medvedev getting to number one is if he improves on clay and grass. His points are going to drop like crazy starting in the summer. He has so many titles and finals to defend from 2019 and 2020 combined. This ranking system will make it really hard on the players when things go back to normal because they won’t be able to play enough and have the freshness to defend all those tournaments back to back.
True.. His points will only start dropping after the clay and grass season.. To cushion up he has to win grass and clay games which i thi k he is going to.. This year.
I have been watchng Tennis since several decades and have seen the development of the game since before the professional era to the present. Technology too has contributed to the development of the game's kinetics and the result has led to a phenomenal improvement of both the game's physical and mental aspects. The competition between the trio has led to an overall improvement of the base level of the next generations and the players from these generations have to compete with each other and the trio. I think Novak is the most equipped to break moore records as he is still evolving both mentally and gamewise - more variation - precision serving etc. Also better muscle and kinetic memory. I think the biggest challenge to his no1 ranking can come from Medvedev because he is the most consistent and he has less points + he will play more tournaments.
Thank you for your comment some very wise words and appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Interesting to know... And yep I agree on your point about meddy
@@TahmidSalehTennisForum I think us fans of Nole we feel angry at the way Djokovic has been treated in the media and the way lies have been printed (demandgate) about him and used to tear him down. That's why when he wins, the victory is much is sweeter. But you're right - Nolefam should just celebrate his win and not focus on hate.
Medvedev, will be future No.1 and soon will be No. 2 after winning Rotterdam open. Novak probably will remain No. 1 this year as well and Finish as well as you rightly said. If Rafa doesn't win Roland garros, Novak will win Slam race, no stopping by Next generation. Lets wait and watch as things unfold in front of us.
I admit I had doubts in Djokovic, only because of his age and that injury he was dealing with. I picked the Octopuss to win this match based on youth and form. I am glad that Nole proved me wrong with the masterclass he displayed last night. Djokovic may reign on hard courts for now, but Medvedevs time will certainly come. Congrats to both Djokovic and Medvedev. Both are great human beings and I hope for much continued success for both of them. Haters can throw out all the meaningless stats they want, but the fact remains that Djokovic leads Nadal in every important stat but slams--more weeks at number one, more year end number 1's, more master 1,000's, 5 WTF's to Nadals 0, winner of every master 1,000 tournament and head to head. In fact, if not for that ridiculous USO debacle last year and Wimbledon being cancelled, Nole would likely be tied with Nadal and Fed at 20 slams. Don't deny that Nadal lucked out getting his precious French Open during the Corona virus. Nadal worshipers like to overrate the Olympics, when in reality, they award less points than a master 1,000 tournament. Compare the number of top 10 players that Nadal beat to win the 08 OG compared to Medvedev at the World Tour Finals last year. The stats are pretty telling. Many good players don't even play the Olympics and the draws are generally much easier than a WTF and even a master 1,000. Not winning a WTF looks much worse on a players resume than not winning an Olympic Gold, primarily because a player gets every year to win a WTF. The Olympics is only every 4 years and a player may just get the bad luck of the draw--be it injury, bad patch in form, security reasons, etc. The OG is important to players for sentimental reasons, but the WTF is much more difficult to win because you have to have a great year to even qualify. Then you have to deal with the best of the best. No easy draws. Remember when an unknown named Monica Puig won the Olympics? What did she do after that? How can Nadal be a better player than Djokovic and Federer, when he cannot beat the elite 8 even once? He sucks indoors as well, with only 2 titles. This shows his deficiencies indoors. You say that Djokovic has never beat Nadal in a FO final, but you fail to mention that the Serb blitzed him in the FO 15 quarterfinals. In addition Nadal was pretty mediocre at Wimbledon from 2012 through 2017. He lost in the 2nd round, 1st round, 4th round, 2nd round, 4th round during his prime. This is inexcusable and would never happen to Djokovic and Federer, even at the French. Djokovic lost to an all-time great in Murray and Wawrinka because of a huge matchup disadvantage in grand slam finals. Your point? That is much better than losing in early rounds to no name players like Nadal did at Wimbledon. Murray also beat Nadal in 2 slam matches(USO 08 and AO 10) when Nadal was in his prime. And that's not even mentioning Nadal falling to lesser players in slams outside of clay from 05 through AO 08. Lastly, Nadal beat up on Federer in the early years because of the huge matchup advantage the Spaniard had, not because he was ever the better player. To conclude, Nadal is no doubt a legend and one of the best. He will just never be better and more complete than both Djokovic and Federer.
I expect him to be World no 1 at year end to break past Sampras tie for 7 year ends. That takes him to 360 by Aus Open 2022. Also depends on how many points Medvedev can rack up on Clay and Grass tournaments as Djokovic can only gain at Miami (which I think he will skip), Monte Carlo and French Open. other than that he's a sitting duck until US Open where he can gain around 1700 points with a win.
Brilliantly said and I agree with you. Ofcourse the year end number 1 would mean no one is a sitting duck on previous results as its simply a race from now until the world tour finals on who can accumulate the most points.. Meaning Novak could very well lose the number 1 in the summer but still end the year as Number 1 if he just does well this year better than the others.. He's had a good start with 2000 from AO although Daniil isn't far behind with the ATP cup points too
He won't skip Miami. He has a house there and Florida doesn't have any silly restrictions. He can bring the whole family and the whole team. He will skip Dubai and any other 500 level tourneys.
there is no more big 3 now. Roger is fading out, he is not likely get into 1/4 of any majors, young guys are not really knock off both Nole and Rafa in these couple of years, but they are good enough to keep Roger out. Roger might be forced to retire later this year.

@@TahmidSalehTennisForum I think he will have a better chance to make deep run on grass He has a huge serve and his accurate shots will be difficult to handle on a fast low bouncing surface (I see a lot of Djokovic in him😂)
Could someone explain me the differences in ranking this year? For example, Novak won Madrid in 2019 and Rome in 2020. Since Madrid wasn't played last year, does he have to defend the points from both those tournmants, despite having won them on separate years?
Yep he would have to defend both, the Covid ranking means players have points from their best result in a specific tournament from the previous 2 years instead of the normal 1
But then after wimbledon Novak only needs to defend cincy and semifinal at atp finals. He also lost all of his point last year at US open when he got DQ. Medvedev won 2019 Shanghai and 2020 Paris and ATP finals. So if he survives after wimby he is probably end the year as number one. Am I right Tahmid?
Novak, I remember in 2019 he went to Japan and won the tournament as preparation. I mean anything can happen in tennis but yeah he'd be my pick on the Japanese hard courts
if he beat him 3 times out of there 8 matches 5 and 3 head to head it can be done again there not far apart by a large margin Medvedev drop the ball and lost focus after that first set you started to see it. I think he can win a title and he probably it's only a matter of time once he figures it out it'll be done he just have to believe it
I only can imagine what performance will be NOVAK DJOKOVIC after he break weeks number one record 311 and from next month will be focused only on biggest tournament.... no more playing 15-20 tournaments every year and protecting number 1 position....
Medvedev at the moment is the second best player on the tour.He can beat anyone on a hard court.Yes, he can beat even Djokovic but not in Australia. Medvedev already defeated Djokovic in Cincinnati and London.
I kind of agree with you. Medvedev is the second best hardcourt player at the moment, but the question still remains how he will fare on grass and clay? The second best overall player I would say is debatable between Thiem, Nadal and Medvedev. If Med can produce more consistent results on other surfaces, he very well may get there.
@@TahmidSalehTennisForum yes for a brief period until american swing starts he probably can, if he can accumulate points in clay and grass court seasons. Rafa has nothing to gain.. Only drops points in the clay season and in USO. Nole may not participate in miami (indian wells is prob not going ahead with the tourney) and may enter rome masters as RG PREP and defends RG finals AND wimby title.. So he will drop a ton if he doesnt win. Probably medv has a thin chance of becoming no1 there, before he starts to drop his points accrued during his incredible 2019 north american swing.. Nole will again most likely accumulate points and regain no1. Year end no1is probably going to be tight and interesting this year if nole decides to schedule as pointed out in his recent interview after lifting the trophy 🤞
Ofcourse will be big to be the outright leader and also would probably guarantee that Roger or Rafa cant catch him up.. I mean already with 6 you'd think he will finish ahead of them but Rafa especially may have a really strong year and get another ye#1 so yeah I'd say pretty important for one more for Novak to make the record his and secure

Novak can reach 25th GS title and break even womans record of 24gs , and about weeks i think he will reach 400weeks until 2024 Novak will play on high level for sure 2021 and 2022,maybe even 2023 and 2024, depends on his health.
And Djokovic dominated strong era of Men's Tennis. Federer got easy peasy 2004-07 dumbass no competition era and still is behind Djokovic in terms of weeks at #1
I don't think Thiem's destined to be no.1, I have nothing against him but I just don't see him as no.1 player at anytime... One reason, so inconsistent.
Federer , as great as he is , has not been playing up to his standards at least for 3 years . The major reason he is still playing is because of his wife , whom is a very strong minded person ( not calling her a lady for a reason , you can check why by yourself ) . At the last Wimbledon finals he played his best tennis in years , yet somehow he managwd to lose after two match points . Rafa is 5 years younger , Nole 6 , so I am afraid he will finish the race as third most successful . It will be decided between Rafa and Nole who the GOAT id , but I believe that Federer will be the most loved one because of his beautiful style , and he did came first , retiring the old guard of Sampras , Agasi etc. And we truly are blessed to witness the greatest era of tennis , but my father says that it's boring since almost everything is won by the big 3 .

I always follow the Big Title race because that's more objective in comparing the Big Three:
DJOKOVIC 59 Big Titles
18 Grand Slams 36000 points
36 M1000 titles 36000 points
5 WTF titles 7100 points
TOTAL POINTS 79,100
FEDERER 54 Big Titles
20 Grand Slams 40000 points
28 M1000 titles 28000 points
6 WTF titles 8800 points (adjusted)
TOTAL POINTS 76,800
RAFA 56 Big Titles
20 Grand Slams 40000 points
35 M1000 titles 35000 points
1 Olympic Gold
TOTAL POINTS 75,000
In summary, Joko has become the most dominant, versatile and better player of the Big Three as he is the lone player with a winning H2H record against the other 2.
At 33, I see him dominating for another 2-3 years and with 11 Grand Slams left through 2023, does anyone see him winning less than 4-5?
This was a fantastic read thank you for sharing! Very interesting.. and happy new year to you too
Novak is the best, I believe at the end of the day stats will confirm this!
He's in a good position but next 2 years will be crucial. How many slams do you think he needs to win in the next 2 years?
@@TahmidSalehTennisForum it's very likely that he has 3 more slams in him
@@TahmidSalehTennisForumI agree, next 2 years could determine everything!

Novak needs to just focus on improving his first serve. If he keeps serving like how he did in AO 21 then it could be another great season for him. He will have really serious chance of winning both Wimbledon and US open if he keeps working on his first serve.
Yup good point his serve could be crucial in his quest for Wimbledon and the US Open
Agreed!
I don't think I've ever seen Joko serve better. That blistering serve down the T was devastating! He set a PR for most aces in a tournament with over 100! Look out ATP, Novak is still getting better!

I think it'd still be the big 3 due to continued finals, Semifinals, ranking and also 8 slams is not bad
He would have broken the record earlier in October last year if not for the covid 19 and frozen of ranking points
True but it happened so I guess life moves on!
yeah, I wish Wimbledon still happened but oh well
Yes, that was disgusting IMO, what they did to him.
Some interesting thoughts.. Let's see how it develops! Thank you for sharing your opinions :)

I think he may skip the minor 500 level tourneys for now. But I think he will play Miami where he owns a home. Monte Carlo too, where he lives. And Rome which is so close to Monaco. Last year Djokovic was "robbed" beacuse ATP froze the rankings in mid March due to the pandemic.Tennis season was resumed in late August.
That is five months, or 20-22 weeks.
Missing out on the sunshine double and Wimby + Olympics in the year he was looking in great form and unbeaten was a great shame.
It was unfortunate but nothing can be done so best not to focus on the past but rather look ahead into the future
This point system is a joke.
@@JustMe-er9ve now its joke ha?
Tahmid, I do think that this year will be different though. I think he will play more so that he can break the tie with Sampras for year end number 1. I do think Novak will get to 400 for sure. I really do.
Hmm, good point. But he said after the final that he will focus more on the slams now that he has the total weeks @ No. 1 record in the bag. Of course, another Tour Finals and Year End No. 1 would be great to have - for the record books.
I really do too!
4 straight WTF wins, historical #1 under 10 years, 4 straight grand slam wins2015-2016, 2015 winning every master 1000 going to to every grand slam final winning 3,beating the best grass court player ever in 3 finals @wimbledon, Beating the best Clay court player we will ever see in straight sets @Roland Garros, still dominating tennis @almost 34 winning 9 Australian opens (the most hard court wins @ one slam in history) the most Masters 1000’s in history that’s a G.O.A.T resume
@Young Noh For sure they will talk about historic No1
@Young Noh absolutely he turned his career completely around last 10 years winning 18 slams and creating unbelievable history Rafa is always my favorite but Djokovic is the blood and guts Warrior Rafa was 2005-2011 but Djokovic poisoned Rafa mind after 2011 Rafa might only have 3 wins on hard court over Djokovic in 10 years
@@boxerboy860 If only Djokovic had beat a good form Nadal at RG. That would have been the icing on the cake.
This year.

Imagine how Novak's chances would be if he hadn't been disqualified from the us open.
Best not to think too much about the past but focus on the future :)

Wow amazing passion my friend thank you for sharing your thoughts it was an interesting read

But THE Rankings and Weeks as No. 1 don't lie!!
Brilliantly said and I agree with you. as great as they are, it might be possible that both of them are on that stuff too especially Novak I've seen some suspicious things at times from him that'll make you question what's going on... to be able to do this i wouldn't doubt it, hell i wouldn't doubt it if a lot of players are on it, not to take away from what rafa and Novak is doin but i believe they doing something to get an edge over other players I'm just hypothetically speaking and i can't confirm this but my heart just tells me this. what do you guys think?
Maybe he can do some damage at Wimbledon. At many other courts I see him behind many players like Thiem, Tsitsipas & Co
Djokovic- 25 grand slams
Nadal-24 grand slams
Federer- 20 or 21
When the big three retires!!!
24/25 slams would be an incredible achievement but I don't know if possible..
@@TahmidSalehTennisForum just remember my comment buddy and see it after 5 years from now,U will see then 👍
@@agamsingh9725 haha okay
Federer is done. No more slams for him for shure.
I think Nole will retire with 23 GS, Rafa 22 and Roger remains with 20..
Whenever Meddy is ready - not any soon
If he can improve his clay performances he'll have a major chance to do it this year
@@TahmidSalehTennisForum I think he will have a better chance to make deep run on grass
He has a huge serve and his accurate shots will be difficult to handle on a fast low bouncing surface (I see a lot of Djokovic in him😂)
@@sahilpanjwani2277 he's game style is definitely most similar to Novak
Could someone explain me the differences in ranking this year? For example, Novak won Madrid in 2019 and Rome in 2020. Since Madrid wasn't played last year, does he have to defend the points from both those tournmants, despite having won them on separate years?
Yep he would have to defend both, the Covid ranking means players have points from their best result in a specific tournament from the previous 2 years instead of the normal 1
@@TahmidSalehTennisForum that means that Novak will probably lose his place. But later on, he will have a chance to get there again, at the US Open.
Am I right Tahmid?
who do you think will win Gold in the Olympics?
Novak, I remember in 2019 he went to Japan and won the tournament as preparation. I mean anything can happen in tennis but yeah he'd be my pick on the Japanese hard courts
Medevdev is the next number 1!!!
Not a bad prediction! When do you think he achieves this?
only in him wildest dreams
450 weeks
Wow that would be incredible but maybe a bit of a stretch even for Novak!
Dominic theim will become next number one no doubt about that
Do you think he can win another slam this year?
Just hope for a great tennis time b4 they all retire
Yep exactly! Great mentality
Fedals fans some of you tubers media say D Medvedev can beat the Nole.
After winning the title 🤫
Of course he can beat him. Beat him 4 times already
@ Dude it’s a grand slam final 👈🏻
@@Scorpion-ig7ve That's true. He's obviously not ready for Djokovic in GS finals
if he beat him 3 times out of there 8 matches 5 and 3 head to head it can be done again there not far apart by a large margin Medvedev drop the ball and lost focus after that first set you started to see it. I think he can win a title and he probably it's only a matter of time once he figures it out it'll be done he just have to believe it
@@ancientwarriors67 He win the GS this year or May be next year 👈🏻 mark my word..👈🏻
Look the stats in Novak era 2011-2012. He has GS, Atp finals, Atp1000, Weeks no1, Year end no1, HtH more than double combine Federer and Nadal.

@@jugular911 not creepy at all its all good my friend :) and thank you!
I only can imagine what performance will be NOVAK DJOKOVIC after he break weeks number one record 311 and from next month will be focused only on biggest tournament.... no more playing 15-20 tournaments every year and protecting number 1 position....
Let's see how it changes!
Medvedev at the moment is the second best player on the tour.He can beat anyone on a hard court.Yes, he can beat even Djokovic but not in Australia.
Medvedev already defeated Djokovic in Cincinnati and London.
Next world number 1?
I kind of agree with you. Medvedev is the second best hardcourt player at the moment, but the question still remains how he will fare on grass and clay? The second best overall player I would say is debatable between Thiem, Nadal and Medvedev. If Med can produce more consistent results on other surfaces, he very well may get there.
@@TahmidSalehTennisForum - Yet to be proven. Maybe not Medvedev.
Medveded might go downhill from now
@@rocket3193 he hasn't got a lot to defend all the way until after Wimbledon
Medvedev !!!
Next world number 1?
THEY WILL BE THE TOP 8 QUALIFIERS END OF YEAR .
Wouldn't bet against it! Definitely do seem to be more consistent than the rest
How important will it be for Djokovic to try to get 1 more
Year End No. 1 ?
Then Djokovic would have the most ,
Currently tied 6 all with Sampras.
I really want to see Novak protect that number 1 ranking for another year and take another Tour Finals trophy.
He could still very much do that!
plz tell me some one about the ranking before jokovich is 12030 now he won the australian open and again he is still 12030 so confu
I don't think Roger much part of that race🤔
Which race?
@@TahmidSalehTennisForum don't you remember what you said about winning slams back and forth, like a rat race?!

djokovic is scince 34 weeks in row again the nr.1.
He has since today 309 weeks at nr.1..

that means he would also break the record from 237 weeks in row;)
520 weeks! A full ten years at Numero Uno.

Yup 319 is guaranteed
Thanks for crunching the numbers. I was wondering about that.
Novak can reach 25th GS title and break even womans record of 24gs , and about weeks i think he will reach 400weeks until 2024
Novak will play on high level for sure 2021 and 2022,maybe even 2023 and 2024, depends on his health.
And Djokovic dominated strong era of Men's Tennis. Federer got easy peasy 2004-07 dumbass no competition era and still is behind Djokovic in terms of weeks at #1
Novak Goat
Nadal Goat of Clay
Federer how are you mate =)
Nole 1
I don't think Thiem's destined to be no.1, I have nothing against him but I just don't see him as no.1 player at anytime... One reason, so inconsistent.
Who do you see as the next world number 1?
@@TahmidSalehTennisForum Jannik Sinner
@@katarinadicamella wow very bold prediction
Well, it is more than 17 years since number 1 occupation by Big 5:
1. Federer 310 weeks
2. Djokovic 309 weeks
3. Nadal 209 weeks
4. Murray 41 weeks
5. Covid 22 weeks 🤣
891 weeks, that is 6237 days, so more than 17 years if we count Mr. Covid too 🤣
Haha crazy isn't it! Thank you for sharing the stats really appreciate it, you're clearly a passionate tennis fan like myself haha! :)

its very unfortunate for these young guys to break through and win a major with these guys still playing, I really don't like to keep seeing the same person win all the time, I mean how many titles is enough? if Djokovic past both Federer and Nadal, then what? nobody really wouldn't care except his core fan boys and girls who comes to these matches and yell and be rude in the stands that's it. The world would not change in terms of hate crime murder jealousy etc. These young players are coming and its only a matter of time, because to see the same guy win literally all the time is starting to become bad for the game even though if it's not his or her fault. WE need to see other players win i think it's only right, just imagine seeing different players win all the time that would be interesting.
Since when novak is at no.1?
He's guaranteed to hold it for another 10 weeks minimum, he's been number 1 since winning Australian Open last year
Only MEDVEDEV or Dominic Thiem can overtake NOVAK DJOKOVIC number 1position because this guy's are young force and easily play 15-20 tournaments every year and NADAL is old to be number 1position 35 years around corner....
Iam watching tennis from 2006 in my opinion Roger Federer playing style mesmerizing to eyes no Body can match him but it we think in statistical way Novak Djokovic will become most grand slam won by single player .also fact that never change that is Roger Federer is only GOAT 🐐 he is genius magician like football have messi . It will be Novak 😀
Novak can get 370 weeks max... I think Medvedev should be next No1
370 sounds like a fair prediction.. I think he beats the women with that number too
