Thanks for this. Those colours look amazing, so creamy! Those jars look great. Love the selection you put together. What about adding a drop of glycerine? It is a humectant and will not affect transparency. 0:37 About pairing down: could you pour gouache into full or half pans and stick them on the two mixing areas around the paints? If you are not mixing there, this might give you more options. Perhaps to have more white? I have a wet gouache palette...but it is not working. Some colours got mouldy 🤢. These were Schminke calligraphy gouache, which are usually more liquid. I am reconsidering my options, so I am watching this with interest. 7:34 on the seal. You could cover the paints with a layer of seran wrap to make the seal tighter. Question ❓: how about transferring the gouache from the jars be into squeeze bottles? I would be so tempted!!
Ooh! That's an idea. Yes, I have had mould issues in the past as well. Someone suggested adding a drop of tea tree oil. And other said a few drops of hydrogen peroxide. But I haven't tried either. Lascaux has gouache in squeezy tubes, I've seen them at Boesner 😉. I might put some white in a squeeze tube. I saw Lena Rivo do that, and it looks practical!
@@warmyellowshade I would have thought of tea tree oil as an anti mold. I use clove oil when I make watercolours (with pigment and gum Arabic) and never had an issue. I might give that a try with gouache -they might end up smelling like Christmas! 🎄 Thanks about the tip about Lascaux at Boesner. I will have a look. Thanks for introducing me to Lena Rivo. I have not seen her channel and will now check out her experience with squeeze bottles! Have a good weekend.
Yes, that is the downside of dry gouache. I usually let mine soak for a little before using it. I'll try that medium on my dry palette when I get some! 😉👍

I have a dry gouache palette that I love to use but it's so messy because it cracks a lot ❤
