I'm gonna try learning hymns to play at my local church. I've never done it before so encouragment would be so helpful. No one knows I'm doing this but my mom and im stoked but I'm needing a ton of beginners help. I've been playing guitar on and off since I was 14. I haven't been able to play well and I've never had a teacher so I've been teaching myself guitar thru RUclips and it's still not the best but if anyone can give me tips or good beginners help thru this it'd be very much appreciated, very, very much I need it so bad.

Love that your playing at your church that's amazing I wish you luck! A tip from me is learn the basic chords like C G A D Em E Am and F. That is what I would do I would practice switching from chord to chord. Once you master that you can start working on strum patterns and tempo and if needed you can practice a more advanced chord. Hope that was a help to you I just started playing in march so I'm not really a pro but that is how I learned so I wish you Luck!

I've learned so little and I keep trying to learn more I actually plan on posting a few of my sons and or church songs in the near future once I'm outta college or I could always post hyma and my Christian songs for fun too. Idk seems like it would be something cool to try out.
