I know this is too little too late so this is FYI if you build another engine. When putting on the timing cover leave the bolts loose and install the balancer. With the cover loose the balancer on installing will center the front main seal in the cover on the balancer with even pressure on the shaft of the balancer. This will prevent premature wear of the seal. Once the balancer is installed then tighten the timing cover bolts.
Awwww....😣😣😣...I was getting excited that you were going to finish the assembly Ellie and get that motor started...you were hammering along. Exciting times....engine start coming up!!😊
Hi Ellie, love what your doing. My husband and I are car enthusiasts also and learned of your channel through your Grandmother’s post which is my first cousin. Keep up the good work!!! Following you from Mississippi.
You all probably dont care at all but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb lost my login password. I love any help you can give me
Nice channel. I saw your interview in the falcon news. You may want to mark the timing marks with some white paint. It helped me with the dynamic timing.
Please show us how you adjusted the valves that you mentioned in the ending of the video. Was it the head valves. I just got my head rebuilt and I'm about to put on the valves.
Looking good. A quick question, why did you go with black for the engine instead of red. I believe 65 ford engines were painted red. In 66 or 67 they switched to blue. The black looks great. Just wondering.
We actually did some research on this, and it was a surprise to us, too. Apparently, the 200 engines did go to all blue, but not until June of 1965. The very early 1965 200ci engines, like ours from May of 1965, still used the black/red paint scheme.
You do a good job of thin sealer everywhere needed no leaks no mess
Good work team.
Sweet!! Also I love the old inline 6 motors!
Nice job
Thanks!

That’s a GREAT tip! Thank you!!
Amazing engines those 200ci. My ‘68 mustang has that motor and has 251k miles. Never been rebuilt and still runs like a champ 😎. Great vid! I subbbed
GREAT JOB Ellie!!!
Thank you!!
Reliable and smooth running engine. Many would hot rod the Falcon but this engine is more trouble free and comfortable.
You're doing great.I never used dowels for putting heads on,but I made some for installing transmissions. It makes it much easier to get it aligned.
That's such a great idea! We'll be sure to make some when we put the engine and transmission together. Thank you!!

Excellent job Ellie. I think its awesome when young people show an interest in cars. I have the same engine in my 1964 Mercury Comet.
Great job to your Dad and you, Ellie! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much!!
Good stuff young lady! Great personality and great work!

We actually haven't adjusted the valves just yet. We're going to do that just before we start, but we'll be sure to show what we do! Thanks!
Great to watch engine coming together! Too much longer you are going to have more tools than that husky box will hold lol.
Thank you! New tools are so cool!!
Have you tested the engine? How it performs?
Good job love seeing a girl that ain't afraid to get her hands grease
