Jaden isnt as bad as LittleKuriboh likes to represent him really nor is Yugioh GX as a whole. But the guy voicing Jaden is a professional voice actor now, Shadyvox, and has his own Yugioh GX abridged that is amazing and I highly reccommend it, and no Jaden isnt as annoying in the series.

Remember LK making a joke that the bully is gonna "grow up to be a motorcycle riding police guy" in his season 0 abridged?? It was a reference to that :)
Sadly they muted the credits, which was a remix of Stronger by Shadyvox telling the story of the movie. Worth checking out if you can find the song, it's fairly well done.
They all go super when they had outside power sources: Millenium Items, parallel dimensions, The Internet & AI's with memory erasing, super tattoo, past lives, card-based cults and other crap that takes away from the complicated card game.....on second thought.
Honestly is voice is way better than the actual English duh voice. Way less obnoxious in my opinion and is genuinely good and fits the character. Logan also makes a great Yusei voice compared to the yusei's eng voice (same voice as tristan...... Fucking hell)
This was a pretty good representation of the shows: Yugi made Airier laugh, Jaden made him cringe and feel disappointed, Yusei made him want to watch 5Ds, and Yuma made Airier go brain dead after only 5 seconds of screentime. To be perfectly honest, I personally think GX was the best for having a more realistic and relatable story, as well as characters that were constantly developed. Jaden's transitions in S4 were impressive, even a bit sad at points.

I watched 5D's for the first time in the past year and I was shocked at how genuinely good it was. The "card games on motorcycles" meme is funny and all, but then you realize that what they actually did was combine a card battle anime with a sports anime. 5D's is essentially the G Gundam of Yu-Gi-Oh. It's ridiculous, over the top, and insane, and AMAZING because of it.
Alufear actually imo card games on motorcycled makes a bit more sense than the card games while standing on the ground because for one they force duels through them so its not jist like why did he even accept his challenge in the first place and they handled the whole sport side of it extremly well also the characters being more mature instead of hyperactive idiots was refreshing

The thing about the Yu gi oh franchise is that you CAN'T watch the spin-offs expecting them to be the same as previous ones. The main characters are all different and I personally love it. Everyone ist just TO focused on the original story wich of course still is amazing. Why not just enjoy those six series with all their differences and unique features? I never hated Yuma or Zexal, i loved the show. He is just not this "perfect and never lose" character; He is a silly child with a sad past actually and still so cheerful. Astral was amazing too, the only bad thing about Zexal was that it's short.😭 People just have to start realizing that the Yu gi oh franchise series have nothing in common except main crews, the name AND of course, PEOPLE SAVING THE WORLD BY PLAYING CARD GAMES. 😁😂♥️ A rainbow has many different colors and people still enjoy seeing one ^^ So just enjoy different storys and don't try to compare them 🌈

Jaden/Judai is actually a really great character and GX is really good. I can't say anything about the english dub because I grew up with the german dub, but I can say that the sub is really good and I really like Judais japanes voice actor KENN ^^
And one more thing. That loud character that popped up at the end is named Yuma from Yu-Gi-oh Zexal. And that is an accurate representation of his english dub portrayal. Abnoxious and very annoying, but tolerable later in the show.
It's lighter than the other seasons, but if you DO manage to get into it, it starts getting good, especially in season 2. But that's about 60 episodes later, so... Good luck
I kinda want you to watch the song teamfourstar made to go along with this movie. they have a parody of the song stronger sung by the abridged Jaden and its AMAZING. its a nice little bonus. It is lots of fun to see them just dunking on Jaden all the time XD Though my favorite part was when he mentioned his friends. I honestly never saw why people hated jaden, even with what happened during the whole yubel arc, I thought he was still a good character and he honestly became my favorite alongside Yusei. The one I honestly find worst though is Yuma, and those few seconds of him in that scene.......yeah they're pretty accurate to how he is in zexal, ugh. By yuma in my opinion is the best because he had a lot of room to grow in dueling and at the end he did become the strongest duelist of his series at the end unlike yusei who never lost and only had growth for like 1 arc

Subbed/original zexal is actually really good with a more fun cast than DM, amazing visuals and my god was the music amazing. Its just that the atrocious dub kinda ruined it for western audiencea.

Think you can find it or a new remake somewhere... they muted it in the video to avoid the video being taken down due to copyright strike, I think.
Jaden's "imaginary friends" are real... spirits. Besides, Jaden and others in GX can see (and talk to) Duel Spirits. So, "Yubel, the demon that lives inside my head" is a duel spirit while the other is just a spirit.

In case you were wondering, the abridged movie's plot wasn't really that much of an exaggeration. The real movie never explained how card games destroyed the future. Logically, it would make more sense for Paradox to kill Pegasus any time before he went to Egypt and discovered duel monsters. But I guess that would get in the way of this movie's philosophy. "Shove the 3 main characters in one room and sell special edition cards. The rest doesn't matter."

I would recommend both 5 D's and gx. Also the reason GX gets shit on so much is little kuriboh has an irational, by which I mean hypocritical as most of the flaws exist in the original and 5ds as well, hatred of the show. Even in the English version Jaden is far better than portrayed here and the Japanese version is (in my opinion) tied with Yugi for the best Yu-Gi-Oh protagonist. Edit, nothing against lk. Love his work, and being honest I have precious few arguments against zexal which I hate to a similar extent. Yu-Gi-Oh is very much 5 different tones of vanilla when you get down to it.
Its a shame GX never got a localized 4th Season, since that season brought it home from the inanity of the 3rd. 5Ds has a more mature theme, despite still being about Cardgames (probably still going by GX's 4th Season's tone) while they tried a half reboot with Zexal...(never got to finish Zexal, only got to the part where the Red Aliens are just acclimating to Yuuma's World)

The YGO series that is crap is Arc V. The protag was actually the antagonist who blew up the universe into four separate dimensions (including himself and person he was dueling) with a card game. Rippling through and affecting and previous YGO series GX, 5Ds and Zexal. I personally liked the spinoffs 5Ds and Zexal, especially since parts of their plot are by the creator of YGO himself Kazuki Takahashi. Say what you will about Yuma as a protag, but I liked him, along with Yusei, Yugi and Atem. Jaden took time love though... But the protag Yuya from Arc V was just too hard to watch to be honest.

All things considered by the time this movie was released the worst thing konami has done was locking content from the disk and calling it dlc so far less horrible than the shit they do today
I don't despise Jaden or GX, but I also don't like them. I do however really enjoy the abridged series ShadyVox and xthedarkone created of GX, and recommend at least giving it a shot. xthedarkone is dealing with a copyright strikes at the moment and is considering reuploading the series to the previous location Digital Hat Productions or a new channel (see his Tweet from this morning 9/21/2018). You can also find them uploaded in other locations.
Bit of a confession, I actually have nothing wrong with GX. I just enjoy ragging on it. But I've actually been told about the GX abridged for a while now. Looking forward to checking it out after catching up to Little Kuribo's one first.

People just have to start realizing that the Yu gi oh franchise series have nothing in common except main crews, the name AND of course, PEOPLE SAVING THE WORLD BY PLAYING CARD GAMES. 😁😂♥️ A rainbow has many different colors and people still enjoy seeing one ^^ So just enjoy different storys and don't try to compare them 🌈
The best thing about zexal was the scene when all of Yuma's friends basically died after losing a card game

Jaden/Judai is actually a really great character and GX is really good. I can't say anything about the english dub because I grew up with the german dub, but I can say that the sub is really good and I really like Judais japanes voice actor KENN ^^

The post credits scene is referencing a thing LK did called "Seto Kaiba's Real Father". There are two parts to it that were made a few years apart.

I honestly never saw why people hated jaden, even with what happened during the whole yubel arc, I thought he was still a good character and he honestly became my favorite alongside Yusei. The one I honestly find worst though is Yuma, and those few seconds of him in that scene.......yeah they're pretty accurate to how he is in zexal, ugh. As for the song in the middle, it's called paraboss, a parody of the Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny song called Beelzeboss, its actually a really good song.

By yuma in my opinion is the best because he had a lot of room to grow in dueling and at the end he did become the strongest duelist of his series at the end unlike yusei who never lost and only had growth for like 1 arc

Subbed/original zexal is actually really good with a more fun cast than DM, amazing visuals and my god was the music amazing. Its just that the atrocious dub kinda ruined it for western audiencea.

Also, the credits had ShadyVox, who voiced Jaden, singing a parody of Stronger (by Kanye West?). Think you can find it or a new remake somewhere... they muted it in the video to avoid the video being taken down due to copyright strike, I think.
Jaden's "imaginary friends" are real... spirits. Besides, Jaden and others in GX can see (and talk to) Duel Spirits. So, "Yubel, the demon that lives inside my head" is a duel spirit while the other is just a spirit.

In case you were wondering, the abridged movie's plot wasn't really that much of an exaggeration. The real movie never explained how card games destroyed the future. Logically, it would make more sense for Paradox to kill Pegasus any time before he went to Egypt and discovered duel monsters. But I guess that would get in the way of this movie's philosophy. "Shove the 3 main characters in one room and sell special edition cards. The rest doesn't matter."

I would recommend both 5 D's and gx. Also the reason GX gets shit on so much is little kuriboh has an irational, by which I mean hypocritical as most of the flaws exist in the original and 5ds as well, hatred of the show. Even in the English version Jaden is far better than portrayed here and the Japanese version is (in my opinion) tied with Yugi for the best Yu-Gi-Oh protagonist. Edit, nothing against lk. Love his work, and being honest I have precious few arguments against zexal which I hate to a similar extent. Yu-Gi-Oh is very much 5 different tones of vanilla when you get down to it.
Its a shame GX never got a localized 4th Season, since that season brought it home from the inanity of the 3rd.
5Ds has a more mature theme, despite still being about Cardgames (probably still going by GX's 4th Season's tone) while they tried a half reboot with Zexal...(never got to finish Zexal, only got to the part where the Red Aliens are just acclimating to Yuuma's World)

Ya know, Pick of Destiny was a really fun and great movie.
The YGO series that is crap is Arc V. The protag was actually the antagonist who blew up the universe into four separate dimensions (including himself and person he was dueling) with a card game. Rippling through and affecting and previous YGO series GX, 5Ds and Zexal.
I personally liked the spinoffs 5Ds and Zexal, especially since parts of their plot are by the creator of YGO himself Kazuki Takahashi. Say what you will about Yuma as a protag, but I liked him, along with Yusei, Yugi and Atem. Jaden took time love though... But the protag Yuya from Arc V was just too hard to watch to be honest.

I don't despise Jaden or GX, but I also don't like them. I do however really enjoy the abridged series ShadyVox and xthedarkone created of GX, and recommend at least giving it a shot. xthedarkone is dealing with a copyright strikes at the moment and is considering reuploading the series to the previous location Digital Hat Productions or a new channel (see his Tweet from this morning 9/21/2018). You can also find them uploaded in other locations.
