Nice car man. I had one of these I went through 2 transmissions. I had them put a shift kit in it. It shifted much stronger, and was problem free. I should’ve kept it, but I traded it in for a brand new 2015 Dodge Charger RT. GM should’ve made these RWD.
Watch that transmission now and also must have been a very small cam you had installed but with a tune on it still gonna make a huge difference. She sounded good with that little burn out.
It really upsetted me how Chevy discontinued the SS impala and the SS trailblazer I’m not sure what they were thinking honestly it’s off topic but I wish they would remake those along with remaking/updating the Pontiac Grand Prix too!!
Because the 5.3L V8 made 303 hp, and by 2008 GM had the 3.6L V6 (The same one in more modern Impalas) making that much more efficiently and reliably. That same engine is still in production today, and supercharged, can push almost 500hp.
Keep a eye on that transmission lil bro..get you a temperature gauge for the transmission and make sure it's not overheating and keep the fluid changed when it's time to change it!

The roof can't stand up to a rollover crash during pursuits. But it's going to hard in turns with all that motor up front, under steering and rollover crash everytime. I had a 68 Camaro RS/SS 396 and a 1972 Camaro Z-28 with a 497 HP small block 400 that turned low 11's but I love my Impala SS.

It has some trouble with traction as low speeds because FWD and all the power but I love this car! This video was from 8 years ago and I still have it with 185k miles and she pulls harder than day one. It’s not a crazy fast car but for a 4 door sedan she moves well.
