    I've had an O.E.M. block heater for a year or so now, trying to make up my mind t 'get at it'.
    Now I know how simple an installation it is, and I'll now get it done ,... just in time for the warmer weather !! :)
    Thanks for this video, I also appreciate your time to do this.

    I'm about to install one on my 2510, should be the same. 3 hours north of Toronto, Ontario. Makes a lot less banging and clanging on startup, at -30 Celsius. Thanks for the video.

      From what I understand the 2510 has manual fuel injection, so keeping it warm should help with start ups. I've run my machine all summer Bush hogging and haven't had any issues with leaking. Good luck.

    Thanks for the thorough video, I might have to do this on my ck3510. I didn't have any trouble getting it to start last winter but I know my TDI Jetta sounds MUCH happier when it has been plugged in so it certainly shouldn't hurt anything to give it a little help. I guess I didn't realize that these were fairly simple to install, Thanks again!!

    Thanks! I put mine in the first freeze plug on a ck 2610. Same motor, but had to remove the exhaust. Kinda a bugger because I had no room to hit out the freeze plug. Just subscribed to your channel! Thanks again there was no other video available.

    Great video, I would suggest staying far away from the Kat's heaters though. Use the Zerostart 3100093 in place of it, lost count of the Kat's heater failures just during this winter.

    I would use a different location, I had mine in the same location and when I had to remove the starter, it was a pain I decided to remove it and install a new freeze plug and move the heater to a better location, but a good video, thanks.

      I agree, if i had to do it again I would install it in the foward hole. Hoping not to have to replace the starter any time soon.

    Better yet, don't use Kat's brand. I just installed one, and it was no good out of the box. A couple points: I installed my Kat's in the front frost plug. When it didn't work, I called NAPA and they had a 3/4 npt Zero Start, and I just screwed it into the bushing I had already installed. One thing I noticed, is the type of cord fasterner on the Zero Start, it's flat, has no nut and just pushes in. It would be best to have the frost plug heater in the center hole, so this brand may fit with no "nut" interference. I can get the part number for the element and cord if someone wants it. (you will still need the bushing)

      If you can send me the part # ill list it in the discrption for everyone to see. Thanks for the info..

  • @nuttintoseehere9141
    @nuttintoseehere9141 Год назад +1

    Cut the nut, spread it with a screwdriver (or cut the nut open even farther) and put it over the threads with the cut on the bottom and some silicone sealant. Never give it another thought. Might be easier to at least loosen the starter when you do it, but might not be necessary..

    Mine is a factory kioti part and once the freeze plug was removed the sleeve is loose. I mean I can push it all the way in by hand. You had to tap yours in. Dunno if I got the wrong part or what's going on. Any ideas?

    • @VansHomeServices
      @VansHomeServices  2 года назад +1

      Mine was a 32mm plug. I did measure mine before I started the install the thinnest section was 32mm and it tapered up from there.

    • @brandonbarnes2687
      @brandonbarnes2687 2 года назад +1

      @@VansHomeServices yep mine to. I got it in there, but it wasn't very snug. I'm letting the sleeve compound cure overnight. I'm just worried because I really didn't have to tap it in and now I feel like I'm just putting total faith in the sleeve compound holding it in and leak free. I called my dealership mechanic and he thinks maybe my sleeve was machined wrong but he's never seen that and has installed hundreds. Just my luck to get one messed up lol. Anyway thanks for getting back to me

    Good video on the install of the block heater. I have a Kioti CK30. Been having issues with my block heater. Also, do you have any experience with changing cables on hydraulics bucket loader shifter? Pretty tight place to work in. I can tip the bucket forward and back but no lift. Lever is floating, maybe popped out, maybe broken cable. Could use some knowledgeable advice.

    • @VansHomeServices

      I happen to have a repair manual for a CK30, I'll take a look at it and see what it says and get back to you.

    • @VansHomeServices

      I have the parts book, not the repair manual. From the looks of it it's a spool valve without any linkage. I can send you pictures of the parts illustration if you send me your email.

    Might I add,use a longer extention on your socket and using Teflon tape is not smart. Use thread sealant/pipe dope.
