Has anyone ever played the game with as much joy as Ward? I loved watching him play!

Probably the most underrated receiver in NFL history. He wasn't just a wide receiver, he was a damn football player.

I would love to see a Ward highlight video that is nothing but him smiling at the end of every play. One of my favorite sights - Ward catches a pass, gets absolutely leveled but holds on to the ball, gets up, and is nothing but ear-to-ear white teeth. Damn I miss that guy.

Even as a Ravens fan, I can't help but love Ward's game. Was never the fastest but always seemed to make clutch catches, break tackles to gain to extra yards and of course lay some vicious blocks.

Ginga I agree abd I'm sure the Pittsburgh organization has a lot to do with recruiting a clutch wide out receiver. It has to a someone who has been there forever or its just part of their thing.

Man the ravens used to be the toughest team for the steelers. Cleveland to take their place?

IDC, Brett Favre and Hines are the 2 toughest SOB to ever play the sport. You will never see a 185lb WR daring to come across the middle as often like him..just for a first down. Or a 185lb WR delivering a crushing block on a 250lb linebacker running full speed. I hate Steelers but have utmost respect for this HOF WR.

This is exactly the video I was looking for, real highlights, real game footage of Hines. Most other highlight vids on RUclips are not actual game footage. Thanks!!!

Never has someone so slow played so brilliantly. When he was cut from the team under the excuse that "He lost a step," Hines's reply was, "I never had a step." But he certainly had moves, and smarts, and heart.

Nawl bro I dont think he can be duplicated, Ward tooks some big hits as well as gave em out and played through concussions and multiple injuries. To me I consider him to be the best WR in Steelers history.

How about the All Time underrated Playoff Game of 2002 Divisional Playoff between the Titans vs Steelers in Overtime? That was an epic.

People will argue & say that AB was the greatest WR in Steelers history, maybe AB is the best, however I’ll take 86 over anyone, one of the toughest WR’s I have ever watched play, For any youngsters, Hines Ward should be the player they model themselves after. He's extremely tough, for one, he's smart, and he's great at what he does.
At any time during a Steelers game, you could see Hines lay out some defensive player on the other team. This is very rare for a WR, especially one on the smallish side at only 6'0'' tall 205lbs.
But it's not because the player he destroys was talking shit earlier or said something about his mother, it's because Hines Ward just loves to block, he enjoys hitting people. You normally see that in a defensive player. Not a WR. But on the other side of it, Hines could get hit real hard by the opposition and get up real quick and shake it off. It doesn't affect him.
Hines Ward is also an excellent WR. His career stats prove it.
