      Elway is why I became a fan. Prime JE was a dual threat. He was the best to do it. He just had a conservative coach during his best years. Shanahan saved his career.

      Life time Packer Fan here. Used to have a huge Sterling Sharpe poster in my room as a kid. Only bright spot on some lousy teams (pre-Favre). I have to say though, although I dig Shannon Sharpe as well? Kellen Winslow and "Air Coryell" were the first to establish the tight end as the big time offensive weapon we see today.

    Shannon and I were freshman at Savannah State College (now) University in 1986. I had the honor and privilege watching him play football for four years. As I sat in the stands for four years watching Shannon, the catches he made never disappointed us. Yes, in college he was a highlight reel every Saturday. Shannon was also a good guy off the field too. I am proud of Shannon. Thanks Shannon for always shouting out Savannah State. #2TigerProud!

    How he didn't get in the Hall of Fame on his very first year of eligibility is beyond me. Had every significant TE receiving record upon retirement and 3 rings with two different teams, what more did he need?

      It is because he was a Bronco. The Hall of Fame selection committee has some old codgers that don't like the Broncos. They love making Broncos players wait. Hence why Floyd Little, Atwater, Sharpe and TD had to wait so long. Heck Randy Gradishar is still waiting when every other defender with his stats is already in the HOF.

    First Prototype Pass Catching TE in the game...he was a huge playmaker, great in the clutch.
    Furthermore he had a bigmouth but back it up every single week.
    I wonder if he was playing today the monster stats he would get..
