The way he breaks down as soon as he starts talking about Steeler Nation just shows you how passionate this fan base is! Proud to be a member of Steeler Nation! 💛🖤
Hines is the Steelers G.O.A.T... A legitimate iron man and complete professional. As a life long Steeler fan...I love him. He embodied what Steeler football truely is in every form. He deserves to be in the HOF and he actually has enough stats to make it happen.
The steelers aren't ran right. They give big ben too much damn power. Everyone else is put on the back burner; especially the ones that play on the offensive side of the ball. Many many receivers said they absolutely hated playing with big ben. Hes unprofessional.. he puts everyone on blast instead of having a conversation with them like a man. Hes a teenage girl trapped in a grown mans body.
I came back to this video so many years later to make me feel better about our current WR status. I grew up watching him and honestly wouldn’t have wanted another WR in all of NFL history. Hines was such an amazing player and person and I’m so proud to call him a Pittsburgh Steeler and one of my heroes. Hines taught me loyalty, toughness, and respect. He showed what it takes and what it means to be a Pittsburgh Steeler. Appreciate your good players y’all. Cuz they’ll appreciate you just as much.
damn seeing all these comments mentioning AB, it really just occurred to me that the Steelers really ARE a different caliber of organization. Like yeah, if you’re good enough you can make it to the league, get drafted, whatever. But you gotta be a special kind of person to be chosen by the Steelers and to make it here. Our legacy is greatness and it’s not to be messed with. If you go out there and put in your hardest days work every Sunday, you will be loved and remembered by Pittsburgh forever. That’s what Hines did for us. I can’t wait to see him in Canton.
Been real fortunate my family and I get to know Hines back in his days at Forest Park high and even coming to some practices of ours every once in a while. Truly a great man
If you had a roster of 53 guys that played with the same intensity, determination and class of HW you'd damn near never lose a game!!! Hopefully he's in the HOF one day!!
This man said go to the Ravens never that that's loyalty this man could have made more millions he had a little juice left in him but rather retired as a stealer.
The greatest years of watching the Steelers play are always going to be memories of Bettis dragging fools for that last yard, Heath with hands like glue and blocking like a damn wall, Big Ben in the pocket for years waiting for that golden opportunity and if it didn't come he ran like hell, defense doing nasty all the fucking time with Polamalu/Clark/Harrison/Woodley/Ike, Da Beard too many to name, and Holmes and especially Ward and that cheeky smile and when he wasn't smiling he was the dirtiest WR blocker on the field. What a hell of a time to watch you all. I will miss the weekends at the sports bars with my dad and brother. Hines, you gave us a gift. We love you.
Spot on dude. Team first. Hines was about winning. AB is about stats. That's why with hines we won superbowls. With AB we won regular season games. Stats win regular season games. Teams win playoff games.
They should make a league for older players lol. Like the stipulation for signing with a team In that league is at least 10 years in the nfl or 35 years of age. That'd give a lot of these guys an extended sense of purpose. Especially for the ones that dont want to be coaches or work in the media. Really, it's hard to get into a new career (even if it's in a similar field to your original profession) when you retire. Run this league during the nfl offseason.. lol. I know it's kind of a silly idea, but I'd watch a bunch of old dudes play football lol
With Guys like Hines still backing up the Steelers we know we will bounce back from the loss of two Losers like Bell and the Massively EGO driven Receiver Joke.
