    That second question is bad. Compressing the 2 springs in parallel would mean half the load on each spring, so only 1/4 the compression compared to the two in series…. Unless they were saying each spring compressed 6in when in series. The way the problem was worked out was compressing the springs individually, not in parallel (IMO)

    I'm confused about #9...how is it not D? If you curl the shape so that the edges touch, there wouldn't be a point at the top

    • @ColfaxMath
      @ColfaxMath  2 года назад +2

      It's a tricky problem, it says if the longest sides were to continue what would it look like. So the answer is C because that is the only one where the sides meet at a point, it is out of scale but the only drawing where the longest sides meet

      @dylanfoveaux3256 2 года назад +3

      The question is “ When the two longest sides touch what will the shape be” it doesn’t say if they were to continue. The correct answer is D. Regardless, I love your channel. Thank you

      I'm guessing there's no answer key to resolve this difference cause C makes sense to me.

      @@dylanfoveaux3256 If the two longest sides touch, they become longer sides? Sorry dawg, I'm sticking with C for this one. They don't need to continue, you can just get rid of the top line and push them together. Boom, you get C. The only way to get D is if you elongate, and they aren't even touching lol.

      @@ColfaxMath thank you Mr.Colfax . I’m going to get a tutor and everything, I figure if I can score really good, there should be no reason to give me a job. I’m an operator at a small antifreeze refinery now but they are closing down so I’m going to shoot my shot for the union
