My wishlist is so unbelievably basic lmao 1. expanded family tree dynamics (step parents, in-laws, etc) 2. the option to disable cellphones and use computers/landlines only 3. invites to events held by other sims!!! for example if a sims relative dies there should be an invite to a funeral that you can attend 4. more lot types 5. more afterschool activities PLEASE 6. more infant/toddler cas items and build buy items
3:00 I've literally been saying this for years now. The Sims 4 doesn't work because nobody at MaxisEA can code. I don't care and nobody else would care if Sims 4 lasted "forever" if the game functioned. They literally need to re-write the entire code base. The next couple of years they need to be fixing the code of the game. It can be done. it would essentially be making the Sims 5 but you get to keep all of your expansion packs. Take for example Minecraft Java versus Minecraft Bedrock. Nobody complains that there isn't Minecraft 2.
I personally wonder if it's even possible. They have so many DLCs that all alter pretty fundamental game mechanics (like lot types, social interactions) that it's inevitable to become a jumbled mess. This game is a perfect example of why you don't put mechanic overhauls behind optional DLC (and multiple, different overhauls behind different DLCs at that).
It's a daunting task. I remember for years they were saying they wanted to rewrite APB. But there's so much going on, that even if it weren't bad code, it would still take a lot of effort and the rewrite never happened. I think it can be done, but it's not worth doing. Start over again.
@@Xegethra The problem is that people have spent over $1,000 on Sims 4 packs and probably wont want to move on from them. That's why I said they are going to have to re-code the game if they aren't going to make Sims 5. But it's EA so...
@@BasedCaulfield They'll have to cut their losses. Sadly, they aren't unique. The simulator game communities spend way more and new games keep coming out in the series. However they do have some level of backwards compatibility. Rewriting the game even if it keeps the old EP's would effectively be making a new game anyway, as you initially said. It sucks, but I agree, nobody is going to want to rewrite the game, and we're also not seeing a new one being made. At least not for the moment, ideas may change but I'm not holding my breath.
Yeah which sucks. You should be able to use floor tiles to colour the stair case so they can match the floor. Knowing EA they would give us fixed carpeted stairs that don't match the carpets they do have.
I can't believe I've never actually thought about this, I've literally only lived in one house that didn't have carpeted stairs but I never noticed the absence of it in the game
I think the main problem is that we have 3 wall heights and plataforms, it mess up with the staircase height and maybe they dont want to limit like you cant use spiral staircase next to a plataform.
A dev has actually answered why we will never have them. It's a nightmare to actually code. CC Spiral staircases are really just an animation that makes it appear like they're walking up them, and a teleport script.
Well like, I don't want them to shut off my access to the game, but to stop adding to it. It's janky enough, but I've put too much money into it to fully lose what I have. Just make Sims 5 and let Sims 4 stop where it's at
We need a Sims 2 Freetime / Open for Business / Sims 3 Ambitions style pack that adds in new hobbies and playable careers and sellable crafts. I would also like to see NEW playground equipment, pool tables, trainsets, burglars/playable criminal career overhaul.
I want more refreshes. That was the best idea they had in a long time but since it's apparently not a license to print money they stopped after one very well done refresh.
Right It was the closest they came to improving their reputation after years of upsetting their user base Especially with so many packs which are still kinda broken
I wouldn’t mind the car thing bc that’s essentially sorta how they worked in the sims 2. You would just drive off the lot and you couldn’t watch them drive like the sims 3. They could def do that in the sims 4 they’re just lazy
The wallpaper selection is just as devastating as the carpet selection, if not more. There are tons of amazing wallpaper prints out there and the sims has maybe ~3 nice ones.
I just want FIXES that they promised! Especially Corrupted Lots and endless loading. Also fix the commands disappearing all the time and you have to do it over and over for sims to actually do commands! Thank you for sharing
Oh yeah, it is so annoying! My Sim is taking care of an infant and I need to order each command three times before she actually does it. It takes all the fun out of the game.
It's missing lack of depth to Sims personality and emotions, cars and school buses, hotels/resorts, supermarkets, aspiration meter, gossip consequences, Burglars as NPCs, Pool Tables, the little details such as realistic reactions to the environment, this is why The Sims 4 is so boring.
Exactly, Idk if its just me but I find it weird how we kept getting more stuff as basegame the further they got up until the sims 3 and then in the sims 4, over half of what we got in sims 3 arent base game or we dont have it at all, like cars, fairies and open world @lucaswebster7941
We should have a basic diving board with a few different heights in the base game, so we aren't forced to use that huge rock wall that doesn't go with most aesthetics. Like it's so fucking simple to add a diving board.
I want 2 base game updates since its been TEN years (A DECADE) of the sims 4. I want an overhaul of new objects and items (beds, activities, kitchen, living room, bathroom, plants, etc). Along with a color update later in the year for older items among many categories not just windows and curtains.
They should make an expansion pack that's about "going up", which includes round staircases, actually useable elevators, wheelchairs for sims (can't use stairs), lot challenge "wheelchair accessible" that forbids stairs and platforms and enforces some accessible furniture (bathrooms!) and doors, an eco-living style world where you work towards making the neighborhood 100% accessible, items that fit under the roof and are useable for building attics, gives roofs underside swatches, raises the floor limit to enable us to build high-risers, gives us a career as a skyscraper window cleaner (50% falling to death chance), and lets sims buy and fly an airplane (because they'll do that before they'll touch cars)
Zombies can be an outcome of the wishing well when you wish for life again. And they can also be part of the paranormal pack as an interaction with the table or crystal ball
I was thinking the other day that I would really want a pack that it had different games your sims could actually play in them like a machine claw that your sim can earn a different plushie every now and then. An actual arcade room with all kinds of different games to choose from. I get that we have one with Get Together pack but I just think a single arcade machine it's not enough to fill an entire arcade lot inspired by the 80's or something like that for child, teens and young adults to enjoy.
I still believe The Sims 4 can include cars. They could create a compromise between The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 by having the car animations from The Sims 2 (excluding the driveway feature). When Sims get into a car, they could either teleport to the nearest road and drive away or enter the car with animations and transition to a loading screen.
They should make the individual neighborhoods into open neighborhoods. At least the neighborhoods would feel more alive. You could seamlessly walk from the gym to the Cafe while your kids are at the library
More hair colours like dark purple, light blue, light pink, light green. There's like 4 different types of brown hair so boring but no dark purple! And everything you said in the above video. Also I would love there to be a car mechanic career and cars in general of course.
The fact that we can change skin color and makeup so much, but are so limited in hair swatches is tragic. It might be my number 1 want to customize the hair. I need more blues and purples, etc. The colors they have are jarring to me at this point
@@dshoultzfoxyes more curly hair would be great and I wish you could choose just curly hair or just multi coloured hair on the filter section. It is so annoying scrolling though all the long hair to find the desired curly hair I want amongst the many straight hairstyles. More filter categories on create a sim would be great!
My Sims4 wish list is Bug Fixes ! There are over 100 outstanding Major bugs to fix. New carpets... That should be from a few SDX drops. A few new swatches for the three existing ones, and a few more styles. Spiral stairs... If a moder can make it, why can't EA do it ? We need diagonal stairs, AND stairs that follows curved walls. Sims should be able to WALK under a house built on stilts. We should be able to place stuff under such a house. If the walls of a basement reach above ground, or the ground dips and expose the wall, we should be able to put windows there, and even doors if the ground goes low enough. Half basement EXIST ! Doors and windows DESPERATELY need independent inside and outside swatches. Make the debug cars and trucks NOT debug items and make them woohoo spots. Have a new trait : «Car Baby» Role playing game should be added to regular rectangular tables. Almost nobody ever do role play at a square table. Zombies and skeletons could be a side effect of a botched dedeathtify spell... Or a bad plea for the life of a dead Sim. Or the result of a bad result at a wishing well...
I'd just like to add that most houses in mountainous regions near me have a walk out basement on the foundation level. I agree, it would be cool to have a lot where the slope was tilted naturally. In the Sims 3 we could just place lots wherever mostly, so this was possible. But with TS4's limited lots system, I doubt it's going to happen. It would require a skilled builder to use it, and EA is aiming for that Toddler age group.
My wishes for sims 4 are: go back to some packs and fix them/update them for toddlers and infants. Release an official "sims save" with new builds made by simmers that can be installed with an update and optionally played over the base world made by employees. Art changes based on the sims personality traits along with a total personality refresh to make traits actually matter! A lot of streamlining and bugfixing to lower simulation lag Basically an entirely new game 😅 but with things like seasons, pets, generations, etc as base game.
One thing I'd like to see is when a Sim asks you out and then dumps you, the Friendship and Romance levels should drop a lot. Another thing would be harder, but since the logo of an elder sim is a cane, then there should be canes to buy. They would help keep the energy levels up, which should drop quicker if you're older. Maybe add a cast if you slip and fall a lot on the slopes. They would last about 3 days.
Also walkers, which a sim would want to use for the last so many days of life (number would vary depending on sim lifespan, like the last up to 10 days on a long lifespan) and it would be more effective than a cane
I want burglars and burglar alarms, I want random extremely rare events to be added to the game. As you mentioned zombies, would be fun even if it's something temporary, I want them to make it so if your child gets taken away by social services they still exist in the world and can be adopted by another family
You might know this but MCCC allows children taken by the social services to be adopted by npcs. I wish it was base game but mods are a saving grace. I wish we had the burglar. I remember that excitement and disbelief when it happened to my sim in S3
@@Hi.imdory I like the idea, but the base game only milquetoast cook some heckin foreign food while subverting Western traditions event we have currently is a joke. The items they added were amazing, especially when you consider bikes/coffins/vending machines/dartboards/& mini fridges were all made base game. If you were complaining about the lack of fun gameplay the actual event had fair enough, but the rewards are much better than people give credit for.
I agree so much with a lot of the things. Its basic things we need. we dont need more bars or wood floor. A thing a re-skin of the playgrounds ships. And I dont just mean new colours, though that be nice. I mean a completely new design using of them. Its been ten years and we still only have the base game ones. I said the same thing about the woodworking table. which finally have got a second version with a kit. Which was about time. We have seven swings and craft tabels.
My wishlist for TS4 for 2025 is that Paralives and/or Inzoi will release and I'll never play this mess again. In case that won't happen I'd like some sport related stuff - tennis, golf, hockey, martial arts idk just anything; dancing overhaul; more carrees (idk if it'll be rabbit holes, active or freelance); bloody spiral staircases. Also packs cross-play and overhaul and bugfixing in general. I'm glad that the sims has such talanted mod community, but I'm tired of downloading mods just to fix and tweak EA mess.
The reason is because level transitions require routing and animation work. It’s tedious and annoying. And it’s the kind of thing you’re likely to get complaints about one way or another. From the players if it’s locked behind a pack, from your PM if it’s not since no one is paying for it.
i have a few ideas and things I want for 2025 in TS4 but here are some of my TOP ones!! • NORDIC LIVING:: a nordic country themed pack! i would love to see the introduction and diversity of countries like iceland, finland, norway, etc. i think adding wild animals like reindeer and working bears would be nice to see ++ including new death types! i would also like to see nordic architecture and dishes! i think it would be such a nice pack to see and i’d definitely buy it! • SIMMER CAMP:: a summer camp pack!! this pack would include new lot type(s) such as an activity house, cabins, and mess hall; and a new world that has a few residential lots but a big section with the whole summer camp. the pack would include activities and skills like canoeing, butterfly//bug catching, and hiking! this would be such a great pack for gameplay and would be so fun to play with! • FUN IN THE 50s:: this pack includes so much cute 50s gameplay, including a 50s style world. the pack would have things such as diners, skating rinks, and movie theaters. CAS would also have a lot of cute 50s attire and build buy would have lush items and nice decorations. new aspirations would include breadwinner, housewife, and POWER! some new traits would include nostalgic, conformist, and modern! feel free to let me know what you think of my ideas! 🤍
I recently got an idea that cars could be added as like some kind of hobby, maybe connected to handiness skill or something like that. You could buy poor quality car and renovate it and then sell it for more money, maybe some simple customization like changing colours, adding some patterns, stickers idk. As for the realistic wish i would be happy with a god damn tv chanel aobut cars...
I want a “my first playground” pack. Like it comes with a playground lot and new gameplay and interactions like “go down the slide” “pickup sand and throw it”
The map idea is actually great. It really feels like teleporting to a different world when going to different places. Not that immersion matters, but it just makes the whole thing feel odd.
I would really like to see spiral stairs those would make building tiny houses so much better. I love the idea of being able to build a house on a hillside and taking advantage of the terrain around it.
They should have added zombies to the Life & Death Expansion Pack. They could've easily introduced them through the 'Plead with Grim' interaction, and perhaps there could have been a small chance that if the Grim Reaper spared a sim's life, that sim would be resurrected as a zombie.
I would like to have more family relationship options in CAS, for example setting a sim to be a cousin, uncle, step and half siblings and so on. Also more better swatches of base game clothing like some basic colors, especially for the shoes
my wishlist is that they start over, like make a better sims 4 that isnt built on broken ass code and combine all these packs and kits like they were in pervious games. i just want generations, i dont want generations a-z each purchased separately, im not a rich ea game changer who gets stuff for free, im a customer who thinks your product is a reflection of our relationship , aka shitty
I had motivation to play for several months in 2021 but then never again. I can’t capture that same excitement. It’s just so clunky to me, how you kinda have to do everything on your own imagination, you don’t really get many popups or anything happening unless you actively think to do something. If you kinda get what I mean. I have all the DLC’s 🏴☠️ but I’m not visiting the worlds or doing anything with some of them because it’s like well give me more of a reason to, invite me into it, HELP ME create a storyline. Plus it’s like I can do something once to experience it but then I don’t really wanna do it again because nothing new will happen. Can’t comment too much on bugs, literally just because I don’t interact much outside of the base game and a few of the packs 😭 My biggest bug was the fact that my laptop at the time couldn’t handle the large dog models in CAS. It would immediately crash. The rest of the game ran okay though, like it was fully playable on like low-medium settings. Got a proper PC now anyways but yea.
The one things Sims 4 should have done at the get-go was make driveable cars for the sims! Sims 2 and Sims 3 had them, but not sims 4. I've gotten used to it tbh, but It would have been nice to have cars. I always loved buying cars for my sims.
All I want is more active (interesting and not so repetitive) active careers and spiral staircases!! Also i’d love house bunnies but that’s never gonna happen since they made them wild in Cottage Living
small detail, but the weird npcs in the city living ep (not townies but the ones by the penthouses) could use a refresh. i wish there were something like morning routines and planning features maybe where you could choose/make certain goals for each day / parents could make routines for kids, specific expectations for teens that are expected of them. i always forget micro goals that i have for my multiple households so i feel like this would make it easier to manage them. i wish that there were items you cant access unless you go to flea markets, retail stores, thrift stores. it at least gives a good reason to go to them. high school years needs more variety in terms of gameplay. nothing goes on in the schools. it would be cool if they added classroom disruptions that actually happen instead of nonsense notifications, popularity status (in-school), hallway monitors, honor roll, bullies (lol imagine if you could give another sim a wedgie), sports games that the sims parents could attend and watch, etc. actual nursing homes would've been a nice touch to growing together. obviously more items in CAS for male sims in terms of unrealistic hopes, it would be so cool if they added accents and more vocal options to sims in the voice section of CAS. private jets/planes, and a good and bad habit system
Something I wish for, that will never happen in The Sims, is aging furniture and houses. After playing for a few 2-3 generations you end up with a lot of money, which keeps accumulating. Imagine if the furniture would start to look rugged, not just from having a pet scratch at it, but from use. I also would like the walls and floors to age. Then let's say a fire breaks out. The older your house is the easier it is for it to catch fire, and to even have the walls and floors burnt, as well as burning furniture in the room. The renovation of the house would cost a lot more, and you would also be inticed to refurbish your house instead of living in the same old shell.
My wishlist: -fairies🧚🏼♀️🧚🏼♂️🧚 -multi-functional lots -multi-community lots -open for business lot (your sim lives just above their own work or something like that) -none USA worlds -packs based on little kids -more eye colour options -more unnatural hair colour options -more personality traits and aspirations -more food options -afro, dreadlocks, curly and long hairstyles -better family trees -more things to for non-adult sims -game packs as a comeback -more stuff packs
I would love to see something like DnD; it could work similarly to that Star Wars pack. Imagine a table that sends you to CAS, where you could turn your Sims into fantasy characters. Then you’d be transported to a magical world where you’d fight monsters with a sword, literally like in the Star Wars or Get Famous packs. They could just rework the Batuu world into a medieval setting. But that’s just ambitious for EA. I’d also love to see more drama, like in the earlier Sims games. The Sims 4 is just too plain and boring, in my opinion. Maybe it’s because I don’t read the popups, but I’m playing a game, if I wanted to read, I’d buy a book. EA should revisit their old games to understand why we fell in love with The Sims in the first place. Oh, and I’d love to see something like The Urbz! I never played it myself, but I’ve watched a few videos of people playing it, and it looks so fun.
In terms of occults, I miss the genie! The wishes cool, but I loved playing as one because you could temporarily add random sims to your household and ruin their lives. It was great
I want proper plant sims, perfume making that functions similarly to the jewelry, but you use gardening skills and crystal collectibles, I want a playable financial career, and some new fitness related aspirations, too.
i would forgive that fact of a colour wheel if they at least gave us a tool where we can import our own textures. like i have a home design app that lets you import your own photos so you can do what you want with it like give us that and you dont have to give me a colour wheel if i had to pick instead of getting both (id want both)
I think we need more hobbies, live careers, fairies, zombies, mermaids and aliens refresh, pregnancy refresh, spirals and diagonal staircases placement. It would be nice to have a new destination world based on Egypt with mommies like the new occult. A pack like Into the future. Cars at least implemented with the possibility of woohoing inside of them and animations, the option of playing music or even sleep inside of them. Helicopters could be an option like in sims 2, in think even easier to implement than cars. A refresh for old base game careers to have side task like the ones that came with city living. It would be nice to get a new base game world too.
I want more interactive activities for kids. I was scrolling and thought of how as a kid I made fairy houses all the time and that at a park or in a yard kids could click on a certain type of tree or plant and build a fairy house after collecting twigs, leaves, and pebbles from other plants in the area, so it wasn't just done in 3 seconds. Then they could check for any changes to see if fairies visited their house. They could add offerings like a sea shell and maybe the it would glow once and awhile. They could add to the craft table draw ideas for sand castles, void critters, fairy houses etc and show off their artwork to other sims. Siblings could play dress up in closets and dressers. They could get an easy bake oven type of objects to try baking. Kids could join rec sports teams and practice at home! There's so much more I could come up with.
im pretty sure the reason why they’re stalling to add spiral stairs because of the complex fencing system they need to implement upon it. they have to model every single fences a “curved and round” variant to apply to the spiral stairs, and dear, they have a lot of work and modeling to do bc we have tons of fences in the game
One thing I want is to bring back those skill journals from the sims 3, those were just perfection. Mastering skills is boring but completing those journals made it so much fun to replay all the skills
dude i want spiral staircases so bad. im sure the game devs are just to lazy to animate walking down in a spiral. or letting a staircase be taller or shorter which would just have the landing end at different points of the spiral
We definitely need hobbies, burglars as NPCs, pool tables, trainsets, auto roof, spiral/round staircases, hotels/resorts, active school pack for children, teen update, more active careers, food shops like supermarkets, gossip consequences, Aspiration meter to show how our Sims are feeling about their life, milestones update to become memories like Sims 2 had, more personality trait autonomy to include new animations, emotions to be deeper in terrms of more realistic, new wants and fears added.
I built a 'Penny Arcade' a few years ago and realised we have ONE arcade machine in Sims 4. I was shocked LOL! I had to keep repeating the ugly object. Sim 1 had several of them ... and a pool table.
Ive been watching your videos since this morning. I am traumatized 😂😂😂😂😂 and i think the best content is when you criticize the sims 4 bullshits and laugh at the same time😅
12:33 I think it would be nice if they updated get to work so you could own any community lot and make money from it, I know there's a mod for this but having it be in the game would be better since right now it's limited on what you can do with the lots. With the mod, it doesn't utilise the business panel and there aren't any business perks like with owning a retail store or restaurant 💀
Assuming the sims 4 cannot support a fully open world, I'd still like a way to customize/ add to the shared spaces in the different neighborhoods. I imagine a new Lot Type that converts a lot to public space. The items placed on the lot become open to that neighborhood without an extra loading screen. There would be so many ways to use a feature like this, plus it opens the door for new gameplay objects examples: basketball court in Willow Creek's starter home neighborhood dog park in Windenburg's modern neighborhood Maybe even an outdoor stage object if the alleged bands pack goes through
LAW AND ORDER! My top pick for AGES has been a Crime and Punishment system! Sims can just do whatever for no consequences in game! I'd love some kind of prison system in the game. And no, I don't count the police career, I want actual consequences for your sims bad actions.
It’s maybe underated but i think a stylism pack would be cool. Like the sims 3 ambitions with the stylism career but you’ll have the possibility to create your own clothes patterns in game kinda like the sims 2 bodyshop but in game.
Here me out, playing off the zombie idea. When you choose to be reborn it could be a “slight chance” it backfires and if it does you become a zombie. Give zombies a purpose in this alternate life state but it would completely derail you if you had other plans in mind which would add chaos
If we cant have a colour wheel we should at least be able to choose separate swatches on different parts of the same object. Like being able to choose a bed frame swatch and a bed spread swatch, a chair frame swatch and a chair cushion swatch, a curtain rod swatch and a curtain fabric swatch, etc. They probably wont do it because it would be a lot of work but it would make such a huge difference, especially if this really is gonna be the Sims 4ever; we've been looking at the same stuff for like 15 years already at this point. Swatch updates help but it's still not enough variety when the Sims 3 had a whole colour wheel
Would be cool to have an active career that's like a teacher or professor, even possibly with promotions, so like level one could be a teacher's assistant or a para educator (for one or few students), Level 2- teacher (elementary, middle, or high school) Level 3- chairman of a certain subject in the school (chair of science or chair of math) where you are in charge of a few other teachers, they come to you with problems/scenarios/advice which influences them and their career attributes (can't remember what the emotional control, conflict resolution type things are called but have something similar to that in careers.) and also as a chairman, be a part of hiring and firing and have to run meetings. Level 4 or higher- school principal, college professor, anything else
I think your idea for how to implement cars in the game is probably the best option, but it’d still upset some fans. I’m im agreement with you that I prefer the cars be part of a specific world if they’re going to be drivable around neighborhoods (I get the feeling they’ll just use bike coding), but otherwise I would be happy with them being similar to the mod you mentioned. During that survey/poll/whatever thing they put out whenever it got to the part with the section to type comments about why you chose what you chose, I got into a great deal of detail and wrote quite lengthy responses about the ideas presented that I chose highest. I explained what the ideas would need for me to buy them as an expansion pack, as a game pack, as a stuff pack, and as a kit with their prices; currently in the US when not on sale: EPs are $39.99, GPs are $19.99, SPs are $9.99, and kits are $4.99…so somewhat similar to UK£ prices and last I checked the exchange rate is around UK£1.00=US$1.25 so UK folks are paying more for packs if priced similarly (i.e. £39.99) than US folks, but US folks would still agree with you about the ratio between the cost versus the content as you are correct that many new full games that are released often are at similar price points to what is just an expansion pack DLC…indeed many games with DLC release it for a lot less with most DLC being between $4.99-$19.99 with $19.99DLC for other games being equivalent to Sims 4 expansion packs in that it expands gameplay to be more complex and adds entirely new features to the game whereas the $4.99DLC for other games is usually cosmetic/aesthetic and the DLC at price points in between for other games is usually a mixture of aesthetics and simple new features to gameplay that weren’t included in an update because not all players might want those simple changes to the game. Anyways when it came to the concept of the mall I remember writing that I’d buy the pack if it made it so community lots could be created the same way residential rentals are created whereby we could build malls and designate spaces in them as different community lot types and that it just uses the loading screen to open that space for the player to have the sim go to while hiding all the other lots and that you can assign each interior space whatever community lot type you have packs for. I said I wouldn’t buy the pack if the mall was just a rabbit hole as I want to go with my sim to the mall to visit the locations there. I mentioned that I’ve been to malls with libraries, museums, playgrounds, etc in them (in fact my local mall has a Veterans Museum inside it, an art museuk inside it, a small playground in it, and at one time did have a branch of our city’s public library….it’s a dying mall and owned by folks from out of state who don’t seem interested in doing much with it so besides the museum, the arcade, the little playground, and a small Mexican restaurant booth [which the stands you mentioned would be similar] there isn’t much left in the mall. Even the cinema is gone from it….the parking lot is primarily used thrice a year by traveling funfair/carnival companies to set up their rides and games) so I don’t expect malls to be all about shopping, but that I thought’d be neat if the developers came up with an arcade lot type or some new more specific lot type that the pack would introduce that’d fit the mall theme. I even mentioned that owning a store or restaurant in a mall is something I have earned to do with my sims as I often build a “mall”, but then only the specific restaurant or store space I want my sim to own has an entry door and furnished for use and I just assign the lot the appropriate type (retail or restaurant), but that’d it be more fun if they found a way to take the residential rental mechanics and apply it to community lots so we could have actual malls the way we do apartment buildings. I didn’t mention mixed-use lots as I thought that might be too ambitious and I was probably already asking for a lot! Lol I hadn’t thought about it, but you’re correct about the lots. The only lots we’ve gotten that present a building challenge is in Sulani with those that have water as part of them. I don’t know that I personally want to try building on a mountain side or along a cliff just because I am not a very good builder, but I definitely think it’s the type of challenge the awesome builders in the fandom would love and just make awesome and inspiring builds. And builders didn’t seem too sad about not getting to build residential rental lots on the lots with water so if the developers had to limit the types of lots on such sloped lots the builders seem to be okay with that. I can’t think off the top of my head at the moment what kind of world that’d be like. Nepal? Bolivia? Greece? Cyprus? Armenia? I’m definitely all for new worlds that represent more of the diverse world we live in and if having sloped lots in a mountainous, hilly, or cliff filled landscapes seems necessary like the water was in Sulani so I’d want them to have such lots. I mean with the camper-van travel type thing the survey/poll/whatever mentioned I said that it sounded like a great way to feature more cultures and inspired locations either by being a pack with a world made up of tens of mini-neighborhoods (yes I used the word tens) made up of two or three lots each or a pack with multiple worlds. I mentioned wanting locations inspired by places in Africa (east Africa, west Africa, north Africa, middle Africa, southern Africa), other places in Asia (west Asia, central Asia), and Australia (I was mostly thinking about the travel videos I’ve watched on RUclips where I’ve seen people using a van or camper van that wasn’t in the US/Canada or western Europe; I think I mentioned eastern and southeastern Europe as well and South America and I did mention Antarctica as an example of how far the developers could go if they were wanting to give the players challenging gameplay…and to be fair I had recently read an email from a friend who had talked about his experiences working for some company as a driver in Antarctica helping to move scientific crews and equipment from planes that land at some station there inland to the station at the south pole which is why Antarctica even came up in my mind as he had mentioned the challenges of the job in that environment even though it was summer when he had been there and I think the description said something in it that had me thinking about his email). I think the lack of carpet might be because wood flooring is what is super popular in the US at the moment, especially out in California where most of the developers live, so they may not realize that players might want more options. Same with linoleum. For some reason wood flooring is THE thing to have your home right now. I have friends and family who have replaced their carpet and linoleum floors with wood even though their homes weren’t built with wood floors as the original option (my house was built in the 1920s and its wood floors are what it was built with as is the linoleum in the bathroom…the linoleum in the kitchen is newer as my dad did replace it when he first bought the house; my mom has outdoor carpet in her kitchen and that’s not even an option in the game). So yeah it’d be nice to have more options. Likewise with the plants getting some updates, at least the ones in the base game. Great wishlist!
I want an option to reset a lot, building or room back to how it was. Personally I feel I could have use for it as it's such a struggle for my non-vizualizing brain to build anything from scratch. Sometimes I want to revert something I renovated back to how it first was, and do a new renovation project.
9:51 adeepindigo has the SimNation Travel mod, it works very similarly to this except it adds a few more features like getting a driver's license and making travel reservations before going on vacations
My wishlist is so unbelievably basic lmao
1. expanded family tree dynamics (step parents, in-laws, etc)
2. the option to disable cellphones and use computers/landlines only
3. invites to events held by other sims!!! for example if a sims relative dies there should be an invite to a funeral that you can attend
4. more lot types
5. more afterschool activities PLEASE
6. more infant/toddler cas items and build buy items
🎉
We don’t even have carpeted stairs 😤
Yeah which sucks. You should be able to use floor tiles to colour the stair case so they can match the floor. Knowing EA they would give us fixed carpeted stairs that don't match the carpets they do have.
I can't believe I've never actually thought about this, I've literally only lived in one house that didn't have carpeted stairs but I never noticed the absence of it in the game
I think we don't have spiral staircase yet is due to the fact that they are lazy to animate the getting up and down the stairs
Luckily there is great CC that adds them.
I think the main problem is that we have 3 wall heights and plataforms, it mess up with the staircase height and maybe they dont want to limit like you cant use spiral staircase next to a plataform.
@@Al0neStillAlive With animations too? I thought they only could teleport up and down them
Honestly if they were to do that, your sim would teleport up and downstairs like with the elevators 😂😂😂😂😂
A dev has actually answered why we will never have them. It's a nightmare to actually code. CC Spiral staircases are really just an animation that makes it appear like they're walking up them, and a teleport script.
My wishlist for TS4 in 2025:
1. It ends, they pull the plug, they end my suffering.
Amen to that
Well like, I don't want them to shut off my access to the game, but to stop adding to it. It's janky enough, but I've put too much money into it to fully lose what I have. Just make Sims 5 and let Sims 4 stop where it's at

Omg I would LOVE that!
We need a Sims 2 Freetime / Open for Business / Sims 3 Ambitions style pack that adds in new hobbies and playable careers and sellable crafts. I would also like to see NEW playground equipment, pool tables, trainsets, burglars/playable criminal career overhaul.
Yes keep those ideas coming❤
Football and skating or maybe even a dojo with karate with a Chinese world new festivals being dragon themed and lanterns
A live criminal career would be so fun!
This is what The Sims 4 is missing and also hotels/resorts too, plus a Aspiration meter and a lack of depth to Personality and emotions,
@@RUclipsuser-jc4ni i would love a dojo
I want more refreshes. That was the best idea they had in a long time but since it's apparently not a license to print money they stopped after one very well done refresh.
Right
It was the closest they came to improving their reputation after years of upsetting their user base
Especially with so many packs which are still kinda broken
I wouldn’t mind the car thing bc that’s essentially sorta how they worked in the sims 2. You would just drive off the lot and you couldn’t watch them drive like the sims 3. They could def do that in the sims 4 they’re just lazy
Definitely
Agreed, cars can definitely be added in The Sims 4 in The Sims 2 system same with school buses, it needs to happen.
Honestly I’m just ready for something better than the sims 4
It's actually true and so ironic how the sims 4 is the "newest" and should be the most advanced sims game but it's the complete opposite
I need a large swatch update with more pastel and pretty colors. Oh and idk MATCHING SWATCHES
This is what we need and also Auto roof and Spiral/round Staircases too.
Now this is amazing. I need a wheelchair sim!
You know EA would make wheelchairs locked behind a paywall though
@@melindaropp8622 “my first crippled sim!”
Horrible idea why would they make a expansion pack dedicated to staircases?
@@thisbishcrazy3102well it’s ea
Multifunctional lots.
Optimization and integration.
I totally agree 👍 I don't know why they just didn't do it like the sims 2 straight from the start
They need to add them through The Sims 2 way, I would be more than happy with that.
fun fact most people don't know yesterday was satch"s birthday, anyways
satch happy birthday 🎂💕
And more curly and ethnic hair types
Have a new trait : «Car Baby»
Role playing game should be added to regular rectangular tables. Almost nobody ever do role play at a square table.
Zombies and skeletons could be a side effect of a botched dedeathtify spell... Or a bad plea for the life of a dead Sim. Or the result of a bad result at a wishing well...
That retro 80´s world at the mall is one that I definitely voted for. I was a teen back then and it would be so nostalgic to replay it =)
I'd just like to add that most houses in mountainous regions near me have a walk out basement on the foundation level.
I just want a SHOPPING MALL. I want to open my own store in the mall and be able to hang out at one
A lot of streamlining and bugfixing to lower simulation lag
Basically an entirely new game 😅 but with things like seasons, pets, generations, etc as base game.
@@iamsocoolz I'd add wheelchairs, but I realize that would be over the top.
@jerdua8726 I knew there was a mod that did I but I wasn't aware which one, thank you for letting me know 😊
NO MORE BATTLE PASS EVENTS, THEYRE SO ANNOYING!!!!! 🙏🙏😭😭

@LizzyTiger98 feels! It keeps breaking my game...😅😢😵💫😵
It was never coded for that, so instead of fixing their bugs, they just throw more crap into the mess

I'm glad that the sims has such talanted mod community, but I'm tired of downloading mods just to fix and tweak EA mess.
i love watching these every year and then we never get any of it just a bunch of crap lol
I love all these ideas!
The sims 4 my first rug expansion pack
I play on Xbox, i want zombies and plant sims to be a permanent occult
I recently got an idea that cars could be added as like some kind of hobby, maybe connected to handiness skill or something like that. You could buy poor quality car and renovate it and then sell it for more money, maybe some simple customization like changing colours, adding some patterns, stickers idk. As for the realistic wish i would be happy with a god damn tv chanel aobut cars...
I want a “my first playground” pack. Like it comes with a playground lot and new gameplay and interactions like “go down the slide” “pickup sand and throw it”
FYI for anyone wanting some decent MM carpets littledica has some really nice ones
He’s got the best CC!
Some kind of Color wheel for build or cas is my wish
This
They did it for the sims 3 but no sims 4?
They should have added zombies to the Life & Death Expansion Pack. They could've easily introduced them through the 'Plead with Grim' interaction, and perhaps there could have been a small chance that if the Grim Reaper spared a sim's life, that sim would be resurrected as a zombie.
lol for a second I thought you were wearing a Star Trek costume
I would like to have more family relationship options in CAS, for example setting a sim to be a cousin, uncle, step and half siblings and so on. Also more better swatches of base game clothing like some basic colors, especially for the shoes
Star trek satch 😂 lookin fine
my wishlist is that they start over, like make a better sims 4 that isnt built on broken ass code and combine all these packs and kits like they were in pervious games. i just want generations, i dont want generations a-z each purchased separately, im not a rich ea game changer who gets stuff for free, im a customer who thinks your product is a reflection of our relationship , aka shitty
I have no hope in Sims 4 anymore. It’s too broken by now and I haven’t had motivation to play it in months.
I do, they are just too lazy to do it, let's hope things will change soon.
Also i’d love house bunnies but that’s never gonna happen since they made them wild in Cottage Living
small detail, but the weird npcs in the city living ep (not townies but the ones by the penthouses) could use a refresh.
i wish there were something like morning routines and planning features maybe where you could choose/make certain goals for each day / parents could make routines for kids, specific expectations for teens that are expected of them. i always forget micro goals that i have for my multiple households so i feel like this would make it easier to manage them.
i wish that there were items you cant access unless you go to flea markets, retail stores, thrift stores. it at least gives a good reason to go to them.
high school years needs more variety in terms of gameplay. nothing goes on in the schools. it would be cool if they added classroom disruptions that actually happen instead of nonsense notifications, popularity status (in-school), hallway monitors, honor roll, bullies (lol imagine if you could give another sim a wedgie), sports games that the sims parents could attend and watch, etc.
actual nursing homes would've been a nice touch to growing together.
obviously more items in CAS for male sims
in terms of unrealistic hopes, it would be so cool if they added accents and more vocal options to sims in the voice section of CAS.
private jets/planes, and a good and bad habit system
Id like different decade packs. 60s, 70s, 80s decor. Would be cool
I'd like a damn pool table, and the ability to widen base game columns.
“Just like your flat ass” 😭
I'd love to if you make a vid of maybe your ideas for Old packs refresh bcs I think in community this topic is not debating loud enough
My wishlist:
-fairies🧚🏼♀️🧚🏼♂️🧚
-multi-functional lots
-multi-community lots
-open for business lot (your sim lives just above their own work or something like that)
-none USA worlds
-packs based on little kids
-more eye colour options
-more unnatural hair colour options
-more personality traits and aspirations
-more food options
-afro, dreadlocks, curly and long hairstyles
-better family trees
-more things to for non-adult sims
-game packs as a comeback
-more stuff packs
It was great
I enjoyed the quest in Strangerville and would love to do more quests
I want proper plant sims, perfume making that functions similarly to the jewelry, but you use gardening skills and crystal collectibles, I want a playable financial career, and some new fitness related aspirations, too.
I just want to build walls on half tiles.
YES; PLEASE!
My pet theory is that they're all in a space station. How else ca you explain you can go from Mt. Komerebi to Sulani in moments?
Oh that's a lovely thought
i would forgive that fact of a colour wheel if they at least gave us a tool where we can import our own textures. like i have a home design app that lets you import your own photos so you can do what you want with it like give us that and you dont have to give me a colour wheel if i had to pick instead of getting both (id want both)
All that I wish for is for EA to come to their senses.
Very informative Satch you make some great points
16:52 I would love that kind of map update.
In real life in many countries lino is everywhere. I use tiles and pretend they are lino in my builds
"My first" was a good touch
I’d like a therapist career where you treat fear of aliens, sad clown anxiety, etc etc and of course rock-phobia!
My wishlist is literally just a band expansion pack with a drum set where you can have a career as any type of musician
I built a 'Penny Arcade' a few years ago and realised we have ONE arcade machine in Sims 4. I was shocked LOL! I had to keep repeating the ugly object. Sim 1 had several of them ... and a pool table.

I miss Create a style so much. I love decorating and with that you could go crazy creative in build mode. It was so much fun!
There would be so many ways to use a feature like this, plus it opens the door for new gameplay objects
examples:
basketball court in Willow Creek's starter home neighborhood
dog park in Windenburg's modern neighborhood
Maybe even an outdoor stage object if the alleged bands pack goes through
LAW AND ORDER! My top pick for AGES has been a Crime and Punishment system! Sims can just do whatever for no consequences in game! I'd love some kind of prison system in the game. And no, I don't count the police career, I want actual consequences for your sims bad actions.
Yes! It's so hard making bad sims 😅 Even when you choose them to not like children they're always so bloody nice to them.
Your map idea, YES! That would be brilliant
i'd really love carpeted stairs. i was born and grew up in the 00's/10's with carpet stairs
"A ramen shop would just be a food stall" the way you dragged them!!! You're not at all wrong though!
Would be cool to have an active career that's like a teacher or professor, even possibly with promotions, so like
level one could be a teacher's assistant or a para educator (for one or few students),
Level 2- teacher (elementary, middle, or high school)
Level 3- chairman of a certain subject in the school (chair of science or chair of math) where you are in charge of a few other teachers, they come to you with problems/scenarios/advice which influences them and their career attributes (can't remember what the emotional control, conflict resolution type things are called but have something similar to that in careers.) and also as a chairman, be a part of hiring and firing and have to run meetings.
Level 4 or higher- school principal, college professor, anything else
Honestly when you said live living comedy gold- I’ve been saying live as in liv mode for 20 years 😂
I think your idea for how to implement cars in the game is probably the best option, but it’d still upset some fans.
Lol
I hadn’t thought about it, but you’re correct about the lots.
Living for that orange timbs sweater! ❤❤❤
