@@arenaland6071 Hiring Artists is an expensive choice. It might not be expensive in US but the norms of US aren't necessarily the norms everywhere. The options presented in this video is a good alternative for aspiring writers and creators to get started. In my opinion if you have money to spend on Artists, you should absolutely go for it, however, if you don't and want to have such arts in your works, going with free AI alternatives isn't wrong either. Both real life Artists and AI have their pros and cons. Like, while Artists have imagination, which, when done right, will send any AI generated art straight out the window, they take significantly more time to be created than what AI generate. The thing is, we Humans are still the brains, while the AI is like muscles. You don't need to think about breathing under normal circumstances, but what about when doing some kind of sports or diving? Initially you need to think about it, which is the brain's job, Human's job, once the muscles(AI) understands and remembers how and when to do it, you don't need to think about it. you can focus on doing other stuff, like trying to invent new moves, ideas, etc. AI is just a tool. Tools are an extension of our own body. Only when the body and mind, Human and tool, work together, do we start ascending towards greater things. I know change is scary, but it is a constant of our universe. When you understand it, acknowledge it and find ways to get it to favour us ever so slightly, does change start to not look scary.
I'm gonna be honest, I'd rather make a scrappy-crappy sketch of my own characters with a few bullet points on appearance details than use AI. I've had enough of people inserting other people's artwork into AI prompts just so it learns how to regurgitate a lifeless mishmash copy of others' skills into the hands of people who want a "quick-fix" solution.
I swear to god, ana. i js started watching you recently, and now it's an everyday things (even tho it's only been about 3 days-) thanks for all u do for us and i just want to say that i love u so much and u are literally the only ytber that motivates me to just OPEN MY FRIGGIN OUTLINE DOCUMENT AND WRITE. ana you are so amazing, thank you for sharing all this. you are such an inspiration to me, because of you , i chose a kind of overused idea and made it different for my novel. i used to think fairies are childish, but my book is about fairies. thank you, your "how to make a character" thing was so amazing and helpful, i just am so happy i came across your channel. please keep doing what you are doing , i'm pretty sure it helps so many more people. i may be a new fan, but i am a huge fan. i love you
hii guys ,first ana i wanna say that love your content and it helped me a lot. second, lately i have started writing short passages as a practice before writing my full length novel. I'm in love with those passages and was thinking of sharing them on social media but i'm not sure if their were any sites where writers can share their work safely so i just wanted your advice guys . thanks for reading and have a lovely day.
Such a helpful video - as always. I actually started using Campfire, Artbreeder, and a mechanical keyboard because of your channel :) and now I'm also downloading Lattics 😂 thank you so much Ana, you're an inspiration ❤️
Can i be under 18 and write a book? Im 11 and i already got an entire book writen on google docs bcuz one day i was bored and wrote some shit that came into my head
Yeah, I'm 14 and I'm planning on it as well its just harder to publish but it's not impossible and if you end up publishing please tell me and I'll read it
lattics is pretty cool, it's like a hybrid of notion and obsidian. the map thingy feature is pretty useful for organizing your plot. thank god lattics exist... my notes and plot is chaos at my google docs ToT
You have a great demeanour and energy for giving advice and support, Ana :) You can see the evidence of it with the comments that people leave on your posts and videos. Keep going!
Thanks a lot Ana Neu, actually this looks really helpful for people whose ideas are always changing like me. I need to maintain this story plan. I hope your days are always excited and optimistic about what you learn, and you do very well. 🦋
Hi ana, I just wanted to say a hugeeeeee thank you as you make me feel motivated and I’ve actually started writing a book because of you ❤ and I’m so excited for this premier x *Please reply* ❤
1. I dont use Google Docs. maybe because i dont like the interface. I use one note. 2. I will review the lettics app and leave an edit later. 3. I absolutely aggre about the keyboard. just buy a good keyboard. Maybe not the best but at least something that makes you feel bad. you want that confidence when writing. 4. timers are good. but I don't use it usually. 5. breeder thingy. I use copilot. but I will try it.
i just came back from using the lattics app. Over all, positive. i do have some complains. but I have complains for every note taking app, so, yeah. it's good. 5/5👌👌
Ana, I love your videos and I would love it if you went live once in a while on a weekend for writing meets/livestreams where you and your viewers come together for live writing sessions!
Thank you so much for this video! I really want to make writing apart of my life and you have inspired me so much! Also, your aesthetic is so calming. Love it. 🤍🤍🤍
just learn Obsidian. its better than lattics because it does the same thing but BETTER and it has a more powerful editor. takes some learning basic markdown though.
Libre Office is a basic writing program, like Word but without the stupid paywalls. Campfire is something I'm gonna try for writing and planning stories specifically.
I am mechanical keyboard 100%. I grew up with them, so I honestly have a bias. But I have one at work, one for my desktop, and one that I even use on my laptop and iPad when I’m doing tasks that will take a long time to complete. I’ve found that I need that physical feedback when typing. I make less mistakes.
Omg Lattics seems to be exactly what I was looking for! (split view, notes on the side & ability to view chapters in timeline!) But I write mainly on my tablet and there is no android version 😭 does anyone know a good alternative?
Hiiii! Im a bit new to the channle so sorry if this is a stupid question. Are you going to publish any of your books? Theres a few I would love i mean LOVE to read
I managed to delete my Google docs documents permently last week, but I sent them a mail and got them all back 10 min later. But I was so stressed! So mange pages!
I will give these tools a try, but I can't fully endorse a mechanical keyboard for writing. It's designed for gaming and immersive experiences, not for professional use. When writing, you need a flat, silent, and comfortable keyboard that doesn't create any distracting noises, allowing you to focus on your ideas and thoughts. For the best writing experience, it's better to use a professional, comfy, noiseless keyboard, although these are often more expensive. Keep up the good work 👍
The clacking of typing noises is actually really satisfying to me and helps me keep focus 'cause of that. To each his own, man. It doesn't matter what you use, as long as it works for you.
Have you ever tried living writer? is my fav of all times but is extremely expensive if you don't gain in dolar (in my country the one-time purchase is tree times my monthly payment lol) but has a 14days-trial. I'd love to see you exploring that!
It's a nice video, but I hate how the algorithm yielded it as the 2nd result when I specifically searched "google docs alternative for writers" because of how much Docs screws over writers.... the algorithm gods toy with us 😂"it will save your life" well, it can also arbitrarily lock you out of your own docs if detects so much as a hint of "inappropriate" content in your own, private written work. Please, writers, be careful what you store in your Google Office suite and back up your docs elsewhere just in case. i say this with love, you deserve complete privacy and control over your own creative work (at the very least)
Can anyone contact Google team to ask if they could have Novel writing softwear combined with Lattics mind mapping notes . The problem with Google docs for novel writing is to create chapters you have to use headers this is problematic if you delete one header it deletes every header, google docs has drive to save every word automatically and is why I use google docs but i don't like the header and it does not have notes so we need Someone to contact Google team and ask to create both Google docs to have their own version of Lattices and combine google docs and lattics and ask the team to make it cheap like lattics at £3.99 pcm. So that we can have the best of both world in one app
google docs is very good bro,you can categorize everything and it has very awesome features plus it saves everything to cloud so you don't need to manually save anything and you can access your docs anywhere with any device so i recommend using google docs and sorry for grammatical errors English is not my native language
Google docs isn't secure, Word has paywalls, and don't know what reedsy is. Libre Office is a free Word alternative, and Campfire/Obsidian I hear are good for planning stories. I'll be trying Campfire.
I’m currently writing just a simple high-school romance book but it has a lot of adult related stuff like alcoholics and abuse and guns and stuff, if anyone has any tips for my book pls reply to my comment Thanks❤️
Your shoulders look bad in position to your neck. No I am not making fun, just concerned. This is usually the first sign. The keyboard you are using Is likely cramped and tiny, search for split keyboards and try getting the cheapest one. You can get split mechanical ones too. See the difference it makes to your posture and your back will love you. Thank me later🙂

Like Emily said, Tumblr and WattPad are great. People like to make fun of both sites, but they’re really great for writers and creatives.
