    Guys, I just bought an Infimech TX 3d printer and IT BLOWS MY ENDER 3's out of the water!!!
    I just printed Mikkens Left and Right center Pedestal consoles for the MFD's. The quality I'm
    getting off of this printer is DANG CLOSE to RESIN!!!! It was $400 to my door. Literally print
    and walk away.
    Thanks Mikken for the files on Cults!!! You have reinspired me to FINALLY
    finish my pit!!!!!
    One thing you WILL have to do, is cut the parts. The bed is 220x220. Not a big
    deal, but just wanted to let everyone know.

      Thx, nice to hear you got on track continuing pitbuild. I got mine an Anycubic Mega X years ago with a build volume of 30 x 30 x 30 cm so there is enough space.

    do you plan to share 3d models and electrical base/circuits of project cause i really tend to build something like that. I can deal with 3d modeling by myself but i almost don't have any electrical knowledge :,)

    • @mikken7403
      @mikken7403  6 месяцев назад +5

      yes I share 3d printable Parts at cults3d.com.
      But be aware that I also use a Laser cutter for the panels to cut out and engrave.
      And its even not all. You need knowlegde how to program microcontrollers like Arduino Mega 2560 or ATMega32U4 and so on.. That means you should have a basic idea of programming language c++
      For electrical wiring I did not create a plan. I already build panel by panel an count afterwards, how many pins are needed on the microcontroller and do all wirings on the fly. It all ends on a micrcontroller or power dustribution. System base working voltage is 5V because of the controllers which are 5V based.

    That's pretty cool, but how do you plan to use it in VR? I play in VR and only use my stick, throttle, a few dials on the throttle base, and VoiceAttack, because I wouldn't be able to see something like this to press the buttons.

    Are you also selling the frame for the center gauges ? Been buying your stls, loving them!

    • @mikken7403
      @mikken7403  3 месяца назад +1

      Gauges frames are made out of laser cutted 2mm white acrylic sheet. Its quite custom due to the gauges I used and the two LilyGo displays.
      But I can create a blank pattern without gauges cutouts but four drillings to mount it to the the center pedestal. So you can cut out gauges holes as needed.

    • @mikken7403
      @mikken7403  7 месяцев назад +2

      All together with failed prints and panels I use currently the 6th spool of black PLA filament. So 5 spools are done.

      @mikken7403 i appreciate it. I have been wanting to build an F16 cockpit for some time. Your video sold me.
      I bought a bunch of 3D files off 3dcults like you mentioned here in another post from Legarsdusofa.
      I then bought an Anycubic Kobra 2 Max. Did this yesterday, so hopefully, I will be printing stuff by weeks end. Never had a 3d printer either. Just a small footprint resin printer.
      Is the pla holding up decently? Thanks again for your time. I appreciate it.

    • @mikken7403
      @mikken7403  7 месяцев назад +2

      @@deepreach7821 @deepreach7821 heard good things about kobra max 2. PLA works fine and is the easiest type of filament to handle with. Also easy to handle and a bit more stable is PETG.
      Currently I am working on the wooden parts - ejection seat and floor. While doing this I also program microcontrollers to get instruments on center pedestal working. Will publish another video soon about electronics components and seat woodwork.

    do you plan on having working mechanical dials?

    • @mikken7403
      @mikken7403  8 месяцев назад

      All dials are working! not yet, programming is not finished but later it will.
      some changes also pending, for example changing airspeed dial sticker from Cessna Style to F-16 style.
      all dials were formerly built for a Cessna Simpit.
      so there will be quite some differences to a real F-16 Cockpit but for me its okay because in VR you cant really read the dials while wearing VR Headset. Its only because of my expectation that something has to work whats built in
